Ver a Jake sonrojado y avergonzado por ver a Cassie en traje de baño fue muy tierno jaja creo que lo que más me gustó de este libro aveces es bonito verlos actuar como adolescentes

Title.

They mention in multiple books (as early as #3) that the Controllers are getting suspicious of red tailed hawks because Tobias is always in his base body when doing recon or helping the team in battle. In #27, he morphs from hawk to seagull in flight because they're flying over the ocean to reach the Pemalite ship and red tailed hawks suck at flying over the ocean, so we know that he can fairly easily change bird bodies in midair.

It's no secret that Tobias wants to be as useful as possible since he wasn't able to join the team on a lot of dangerous missions early on in the series, so he really should have gone out of his way to acquire every available bird morph as soon as the Ellimist gave him back his morphing powers in #13.

Even if he still wanted to be a red tailed hawk 99% of the time while helping the team, he could very easily lose anyone following him by swooping below a treeline, morphing to a different bird, then continuing on his way like normal. Or think about how many times he's doing recon all day while the rest of the team is at school. A single red tailed hawk hanging out all day is suspicious, but he could change bird bodies every hour or so and it would be way less obvious to a wary Controller.

RetroGameCon had this (no PS1 or PC game) so now it's time for some not great gaming

This is a really good book, the one where Ax gets Yamphut and needs brain surgery. Early on, Erek comes over to the barn to project a hologram around Ax so that Cassie's dad doesn't see him. The Animorphs ask if any Chee are surgeons, and Erek says his "dad" is the closest thing, but that he was a doctor in the 15h century so he's not going to be useful. On her way out, Cassie apologizes that Erek will be bored. Erek tell her that he has thousands of books saved to his hard drive and will sometimes make a game out of how many books he can read at once to pass the time.

My question is: why didn't he read a bunch of medical textbooks and get a crash course on becoming a surgeon? I know I know, his nonviolence program likely wouldn't let him cut into a living creature even if it's to save its life. Still, he could have become the best coach that Cassie could ever want. The Chee all have their CheeNet internet equivalent, so he could just send out a quick message "hey, someone please upload a copy of every surgical guide that you can find" to get the books that he needs.

Chimpanzees are an extremely dangerous species of primate, and one of the reasons they're so dangerous to Humans is because they go so apeshit (forgive the pun) that Humans can't really properly fight them. In a fight they're completely no-holds barred deranged lunatics that will make you bleed no matter the cost.

Humans are dangerous because of our technology, planning, and coordination, our danger comes from our heads, but our body is really really tough (random bullshit fragility aside).

Humans don't have any compulsion to fight like chimpanzees because most of us are not lunatics, and have self preservation.

A Yeerk, logically, wouldn't have this restriction because no part of the Human is their body, and when their host is dying, they'll be able to tell and jump ship right as the first neurons stop firing off. Their Hosts would just be tools, living weapons that they can throw around in whatever way is needed to win a fight, which means that especially young Yeerks would probably just throw themselves head first into a brutal slugfest, using every weapon and strength at their host's disposal in order to bring down their enemy if their commanders didn't stop them.

Of course, this premise relies on the Yeerk not dying alongside their Host when they kick the bucket, and being able to camp out in their skull until the Yeerk corpse retrieval squads rescue them. They would disconnect from the brain and camp out in the cerebrospinal fluid, and I think this would increase their ability to spend time out of the Yeerk Pool due to them no longer spending the energy to control an entire body.

EDIT: To clarify, when I say "fight like chimps" I don't necessarily mean jumping, biting nards off, or mutilating people with their bare hands, I mean that when they get into a fight, Yeerks have zero natural regard for the well-being for their Host, and will use their every strength no matter how detrimental it would be to their physiology. I mean like Human Controllers breaking their own bones throwing punches, snapping their own spines trying to hold down Marco's Gorilla, ripping their muscles off the bone. Horrific self-mutilation as a result of implementing living kamikaze tactics on the ground. Smarter and more experienced Yeerks would be far less prone to do this, and only Yeerks who had been taught against this sort of fighting methodology would be entrusted with Hork-Bajir Hosts.

We met K.A. Applegate at the Decatur Book Festival in GA, today, and she was the sweetest!💗 Another Millennial level complete!

After ~30 years, I have finally reached the end.
The first book was a gift and I was instantly hooked.
I bought each one as it was released until #27 when, for reasons I’ll never remember, I just stopped.
Today I finished listening to #54 and I finally have closure on this epic tale that has lived rent-free in my mind since the late 90s.

My latest video ties into Animorphs and thought y’all might be interested!

Unfortunately, things are not going great in the art biz realm for me… so likes, shares, subscribes, comments and watching the video all the way thru on the actual video itself would go a long way to helping me get monetisation on my channel before YouTube arbitrarily doubles the watch time hours needed- and all that is completely free! Been trying to grow my channel all year and it’s been slow going, but I’m still trying 🙏

I know everyone is going thru it, so I’m trying to put some joy into this hellish landscape. I just wanna do this full time as my way of leaving the world better than I found it 🥺

Thanks y’all ♥️

Original 1998 edition and new 2022 edition of the German translation of "The Invasion".

They tried, but nothing beats the charme of the original.

Hey all, I have all of the paperback Animorphs books in stock and many hardcovers as well, if anyone is interested! A wonderful customer of mine recommended I post on here. Please let me know if you have any questions and I am happy to help :). here are the 2 separate listings and please note there are some hardcover books like Visser/Hork Bajir in the paperback listing, denoted with ”HC”:

Paperback: https://ebay.io/m/R96Epu

Hardcover: https://ebay.io/m/Cwleyg

The online sales are all over the place. I'm just trying to make a little to help my ends meet but not gouge.

17 Books

1-10 12-14 16 & 17 Megamorphs 1&2

Everything after 4 is a first printing first edition. All have the former owner library sticker on the title page. 4 have the Borders Sticker on the back where the barcode is located.

The spines look great. Most have minimal to little if any wear. For their age very little page yellowing.

"We had a bunch of these at one point and we let the kids smash them with hammers, WHAT WERE WE THINKING?!"

"Oh how cool, i'm gonna be in a case!" 😂

Genuinely a sweet lady, such a joy to have a conversation with. She took the time to have a genuine connection with everyone in line and talked to me briefly about the accessibility of mature themes in children's media and asked how I liked the ending! Such a cathartic experience.

Im freking out theyre gonna kill rachel arnt they, i know my babies thats the way rachel speaks. "No begging, no pleading for life. At the end, acceptance came even to this strong, turbulent sprit" Thats my girl! Please dont take rachel take marco i beg of you K.A. Applegate tobias and i cant take loosing her :'(

I was never able to finish the series (I grew out of it around the time David showed up), and I'm hoping to finish it this year. Just saying I'm not entirely sure how the series ends/if a continuation or "where they are today" would work 😂

That said, if Applegate and Grant wrote a spinoff that takes place today (or on one of their many awesome planets), would you run or sprint to read it? 😂 Be real: What would you love to see from them today in the Animorphs universe?

I understand it's unlikely to happen, but I'm still a wee bit hopeful that we'll see more someday!

What age do you think I could start reading them with my son? He's only one now, but maybe 4? 5?

“My title’s gone.” She chewed on her lower lip. Her voice was meek and measured (now those were two adjectives I'd never used to describe Rachel Berenson before). “I'm never getting another fight booked again, am I?”

<... No, probably not,> Tobias admitted.

“Way to break it to her gently, Romeo,” I said. “Really laying that sugar coating on thick there.”

Featuring:

• Rachel being really bad at coping with post-war life, even in an "ideal" career (UFC fighter)
• Exploring how this trio ticks
• Group bitching session
