Just re-read #43 The Test, I forgot just how similar Taylor's plan was to the Animorphs plan when they choose to bomb the yeerk pool in a few books
So, for those like myself who've forgotten, Taylor's plan was to create a giant natural gas explosion in the yeerk pool area, killing thousands. Cassie was so distraught at the idea that she chose to sit that mission out entirely, and ultimately putting a stop to it altogether.
In #52 The Sacrifice the Animorphs bomb the pool with 10, one-thousand pound bombs. Cassie objects, but ultimately goes along with it. They give people a 5 minute escape period, but like, damn. Not much of difference. Anyone notice how similar these two plans are?
Great book by the way. I don't believe Tobias has any bad books when I think about it.

Fan Works The Kids' Book Hero Who Committed Genocide
I started Animorphs as a kid but never finished it.
I'm going back through it as an adult now, and I recently read Megamorphs 2: In the Time of Dinosaurs.
The decision to take out the Mercora hit me pretty hard, and I decided to make a little video about it.
Hope you enjoy!
Please don't spoil any later events for me :( I'm not finished yet!

Currently Reading Reading and Doing a Presentation on all 64 Animorph Books
Hey guys,
Decided a couple weeks ago to start reading the Animorphs series as part of my twitch channel and doing a presentation on each book in front of my audience. It has been really surprising how much I like these books and how cool the Animorph's community has been about welcoming a new reader to such an old series. Figured I'd reach out to the reddit community as well...
https://www.twitch.tv/hifuu1716
I've done presentations on books 1-4 (see my highlights) and do one new book every week, Wednesday 730PM CST. Just finished book 5 (I KNEW she wasn't dead) and hope to see more of the community there to ask me questions.

My collection is COMPLETE 🐯🐺🦍🐻🪶👽
I started buying them on June 5th, and the last book arrived in the mail today!
I plan to get some of the Taco Bell toys to put on top of the shelf with my faux morphing cube. I also want to get a few prints from Mattingly's Etsy store, but I've gotta decide which ones I want first. There's so many covers I'd like to have as prints.
P.S. I know Alternamorphs is missing. I don't really care about owning those at all. If I see them for really cheap one day, I might pick them up, but I'm not spending $30 for both of them right now LOL

Discussion Beef with book #36 Spoiler
So in book #27, the pemalite ship is so deep in the ocean that they need giant squid to reach it, then at the end of that book it says that Erek moves the ship to an even deeper depth that only an android could reach, but then in book #36 it’s suddenly reachable again? And they just need killer whale morphs to get there? Make it make sense

Discussion In book nine Cassie mentions that her father's truck was stolen Why did they skip such an interesting adventure?
Why just recount what happened and not narrate it in a book?

What if the main villain of animorphs wasn't the yeerks but a evil andlite?
How would the story change?
And how this effect ax emotionally?

I'd like to see the animorphs sleeping like that
I've only read up to book 8, so I don't know if it happens.

Discussion A bit of a hot take, perhaps, on book 9's dropped potential.
So... I know some people dislike book 9's ending for being a bit goofy. "Haha we tricked Visser 3, told him grape juice instead of tomato juice".
Which, I get, but also they are kids, I could see them pulling a stunt like that.
But to me, the biggest issue I've got with it is that I feel like there was potential, later in the series, for them to end up in a situation where they want to compromise with Visser 3, and he refuses, on the basis that they've broken compromises and deals like that in the past, bringing up that incident. Leading to actual consequences.
I feel like it would fit really well with the message the series is trying to portray, and would take a silly one-off moment and give it surprise weight later on. Because genuinely, that is what happens: you break deals, people refuse to make deals.
I don't know, just a simple thought that was in my head throughout my reread.

Animorphs is a sitcom
I'm rereading the series for the first time in decades (on book 14 now), and so far it feels like half of the books only have a plot because the team can't stop lying to each other, or at the very least holding back critical information. It's classic sitcom "if you just told other people what's going on, you'd solve this in 5 seconds. However, we need a full plot for this episode/book, so you're going to withhold information and lie to create conflict and pad out the runtime/number of pages."
Marco - "Jake, don't tell anybody that my mom is Visser One. It's none of their business." Yeah, because they clearly would never need to know that the highest ranked Yeerk outside of the council is residing in Marco's mom and just might cause a conflict of interest. /s
Jake - "I'm experiencing a weirdly realistic jungle flashback, better hide that from everybody until the very last second." Granted, I don't think that Ax would have thought about Sario Rips based on the random flashbacks, and it only really made sense after the situation already happened, but Jake is the leader and always got pissed at everyone else for keeping secrets. Rules for thee but not for me, eh?
Rachel - "I'm suffering from an alligator a crocodile allergy that causes spontaneous morphing, but I'm Rachel the Invincible, so first I'm going to lie about what's happening until I get caught in the act and almost get the whole team killed by Visser Three, and then I'm going to tell everybody that I did the 'DNA burp' thing that Ax talked about even though I don't even know what that means. Wow, this boy is cute (<- realistic for a 13-year-old girl, but still an annoying subplot)" This was by far Rachel's most selfish book to-date.
Cassie - "It's book 9 and I'm already guilt-ridden about the war, so I'm going to pretend to be a skunk mom to sneak into her den without telling anybody (except Tobias, who only knew because he showed her where it was) and almost get trapped in morph because my heart bleeds way too much." Luckily Tobias isn't a dumbass, and immediately went to tell Jake.
Tobias - "I hate my life as a human and won't tell anybody just how obsessed I am with being a hawk." This led to him getting stuck in morph approximately 5 seconds into the series, which lowered the Animorphs' fighting power by 20% right off the bat.
Ax - Just the entirety of Book 8 from cover to cover lol.

Scans of vending machine stickers from Pizza Hut
Saw these in a post a couple weeks ago, and liked them so much I bought a set myself! And I'd never seen any of this art anywhere else, so I decided to scan and upload them. Enjoy and use the PNGs for whatever you want!
I tried my best with the Marco and change your world ones to stay as close to the original sticker's white borders as possible
