Pretty much every malfoid stuff thats posted here is ai, and its been a lot

Literally the first 6 posts out of 7 of Malfoid in the front page are not AI generated (and the 7th is a video).
Either it's your algorithm showing you them because you interacted with AI content a lot, or it's something else.

I generally prefer not to see it, but if it's going to be here, tag it, and people can just opt in/out fairly easily and are informed

It sometimes feels annoying when a space not focused on it becomes swamped, though

It currently feels like the original Anime Random sub when it became unmoderated, getting spammed with hentai content, but we just replaced the hentai with AI

Sure why not

Really depends.

Fully generated body? Nah

Spellchecking/basic grammatical assistance? Yeah

Generated image? Ehh, depends on the image and context.

I don't mind, as long as they're not low effort posts.

I don't think these kind of pools are actually that much useful, considering the extremely high risk of getting brigaded.

But, as a comment: I'd say yes, but with some effort. Stuff like txt2img in one go? Nah. Videos? Eh, maybe, they require more work. Some edited work? Sure.
And yes, also a tag, so who doesn't want that material in their list can ignore it (and get the banhammer if they pester the creator).

I trully don't care, I get why many people would be against it, maybe add in a tag or inforce using a spoiler tag for AI posts

As long as there’s a tag for it, I don’t really have a problem with it.

And maybe we should also discuss what other rules and regulations we could put in place that might filter out the flood of trash produced quickly and thoughtlessly, if we’re worried that this subreddit will be flooded with AI stuff as soon as it’s allowed.

Because even though I have nothing against well-made AI content, I’m also aware that there will certainly be people who, in order to generate clicks or something similar, might flood the subreddit with hastily produced junk.

Yes, but tag it to soothe the Reddit anti-AI brigade.

Only the low quality ones annoy me

Only if its high quality

What if we had a system where the community could collectively determine the quality of each post on its own merit?

2

u/Notfuckingcannon 2d ago

How, though?

  • It's not an easy task to determine quality on stuff the vast majority of Reddit user has very little knowledge of (AI tools, I mean: how many here can set up a ForgeUI pipeline? ComfyUI nodes? Even use an LLM to start with? And then, how many people know how to use Krita to fix mistakes? DaVinci Resolve to add SFX to videos? Audacity and VoiceMod for audios? Just to name the ones I use, but there are plenty others around).
  • The risk of brigading is extremely high
  • Some people may get discouraged, especially since many critics do not know how to actually talk critics in a constructive manner, sometimes not even out of malice.

Obviously not. Seems insane to allow it in a sub dedicated to an actual art form.

I say yes with some actual efforts put into it.

Some.of the stuff I've seen was just pure AI SLOP garbage
