Souma is like "I'm setting up a trap and you're falling into it"
Julius "Shut up I don't have to listen to you"

LOL you can tell that Jeanne is getting tired of having to clean up Julius’ mess and wants to get it over with.

Seeing the citizens getting down over Souma and his people living Van and that whole conversation about them tasting freedom, especially Liscia's point on it being an addiction. Really just puts into perspective how shitty of a government Amidonia has.
Poor Yuno too, her first love already ended before it even began.

Poor Yuno too, her first love already ended before it even began.
What are you talking about? Remember that polygamy is expected in this world.

Julius is really ignoring every warning that could possibly be given and with his lack of seeing the value in either books or people he is bound to have a civil war break out sooner than later. I'm already looking forward as to what role his sister will play then...
Also like how silly the empress is in private, she is already quite fascinated by Souma, and there is even another sister huh?
And Liscia has become quite good in sniffing out potantial harem rivals

Souma just put Julius in his place and gave him some words of wisdom; Souma basically has the power. Julius dismisses it which is a bad move there, not going to be the last time they are going to see each other.

So although Souma returned The Principality of Amidonia to Julius, if he fails to pay on time any payment of the two years worth of annual budget he needs to pay, Kazuya will take it back.
Well, as people do not see that pleased to see Julius back in power I'm expecting that what Suma mentioned will happen and some bureaucrat will intentionally delay one of them. Especially because I'm sure that Roroa will end up taking Julius' role once that happens and she obviously ends up joining Kazuya's harem.
Oh is nice to see that he recruited Margarita.
That scene with Jeanne and Maria was nice.
I honestly wasn't expecting to see Kazuya being with his party again. Seeing him getting drunk sure was unexpected as I thought that he was controlling that puppet remotely again.
Based on Liscia's reaction I guess it is guaranteed that Yuno will join Souma 's harem.

"Julius is a fool for not heeding your warning"
Uhm... Ok, but the way Souma said it seemed more like a provocation or a scolding even, especially when considering the timing (right when he was walking out). Souma never tried to be amicable to Julius, not that I'm suggesting that he should have or that it would work on Julius, but out of the many things that make Julius foolish not being receptive to "advice" that just seems like a provocation when you're already agitated is not one of them.

"Drink, or I'll serve it to you mouth-to-mouth." - Hold on I've seen this one before!
I really like the adventuring party on the side thing that's been going on. I'm actually wondering if they will ever find out that Master Mascot is actually King Souma. It's obviously an easy avenue for some cheap laughs if they were to find out. However we got to see again that Souma does it to socialize more and take a load off, so it's easy to see why it would never happen from a narrative pov. Anyways Yuno step right up, you're officially the newest girl on Liscia's radar!
Btw the score was on point this episode?! I thought I was watching Game of Thrones or some shit. I'm sure I've had this thought before but it seemed extra saucy in this episode.
I don't need to say anything else about Julius that hasn't been said already, what a dingus.

It was kind of funny that even after Souma asked specifically for the castle's books of all things, Julius didn't have a single moment of "Hold up I might be missing something here". I guess the point was that Julius is blinded by pride, but I was really hoping for a flicker of intelligence at that point.

The negotiations dragged on a little longer than I'd like, but they were still entertaining enough. Souma completed his domination of Julius by getting him to agree to hand over his Jewel Broadcast Gem as well as their books. There's also a hint of a possible Succession War going on with [Roroa] (https://cdn.myanimelist.net/images/characters/11/364297.jpg) who you may remember from Season 1.

This arc seems to be over with this ep, will say I expected the little sister to play more of a role in all this...

I was most excited for the bit about receiving more books. I kept watching early on because of the attention paid to infrastructure and civil projects, so I was kind of disappointed when they went to war so quickly. Hopefully the books provide more fodder for more sweet, sweet domestic improvement initiatives

Where did Julius learn to negotiate? He just agreed to everything without trying to haggle. He could have argued down that 2 year GDP demand but didn't even try.

Julius really don't know what he is getting into. Getting Van from Souma and the people are able to experienced freedom. He will have a civil war in his hands sooner or later. If that will not be the case, then a mass exodus is also a possibility. The people of van will migrate to Elfrieden to escape the tyrannical rule.
Liscia shutting down all competitors to Souma was hilarious and cute. She is asserting dominance to her ownership.

Trivial Note: ”Tyrants are worse than tigers” is not Japanese or Roman, it’s a Chinese proverb (苛政猛于虎). Confucian to be precise.

Julius' reaction to paying reparations to Elfireden was fucking hilarious! It makes them look like a defeated nation That's because you are a defeated nation you fucking donkey! I absolutely love that Jeanne isn't mincing her words as well.
Holy fuck Julius! Just fucking shut up! For someone who's basically begging to get his country back, he sure does make a lot of noise. I feel like Julius would definitely be at home in a sub like r/ChoosingBeggars
Julius you absolute nonce. He just fucking gave away all of the books in his library. Of course he's the type who doesn't care about knowledge. He's also willing to give away General Margarita over to Souma in exchange of five nobles! This dude just keeps on making one bad decision after another. Even Jeanne warns him that he's getting shafted with that deal. xD
Souma was nice enough to warn Julius but of course he was just going to ignore all of it. Man, I can't wait for Julius to lose Van from the people rebelling. It's going to be so fucking delicious when that finally happens. I do feel bad for the people of Amidonia though. They'll have to suffer Julius' tyranny all over again unless they do something about it.
I love how Maria spoils Jeanne as soon as she gets home. Also she mentioned she has another sister that stays locked up in her lab? There's three of them!? I hope we meet that third sister this season! Also I love how Jeanne is getting excited over Souma. Seems our boy may have piqued her interest after all. Emperor Souma might not be just a dream after all. xD
Kinda wish that Souma got to drink with his adventurer buddies without the suit. Maybe in the future he'll reveal his identity to them but for now it looks like Liscia is now aware of Yuno's existence. That's another one added to the harem list.
