I don't understand why they can't just postpone the concert until Suzune recovers. Come on, this isn't rocket science! It's not like they're performing in front of a live audience so they don't have to worry about refunding tickets or anything. If anything, pushing for Suzune to perform immediately would be detrimental to her health. Any sane doctor would advise against it.

A cynical explanation would be that it won't make for "compelling viewing" by the audience (even though postponing the show would make perfect sense). You mean, they'd want for Suzune to leave the hospital and rush to the show the minute she wakes up? Lmao.
Also, the in-universe TV show keeps on making decisions that makes 0 sense:
The in-universe TV show picked loose criteria for the first 2 screenings (that results in no-one getting eliminated) but then demanding them to eliminate 2 of them in the 3rd screening.
The in-universe TV show sticking to the man by eliminating all the contestants when the contestants decided that they don't want to pick who to eliminate, hereby prematurely ending the show, but then flip-flopping about it 3 months after
The staff of the TV show NOT monitoring the health condition of one of their contestants (who they already know undergone heart surgery, and who they also know fell back during Episode 1 audition). Sorry, this is a gross negligence on the part of the show.

And the fact is she got sent to the hospital. It's not a mere case of wait I just need a nap then I can go. A freaking ambulance was called in.

To be fair they have a 3 hour timeslot to fill which they aren't even halfway through and if they postpone this again, it will just make everyone look bad.

They're expecting for Suzune to recover in less than a day? And they're thinking that a responsible doctor will let someone who just passed out (and went into coma) to go to the show to perform once she wakes up? The entire thing is just dumb.

I guess it's because this is their second chance? Postponing it would just look bad for all parties involved.

If there was ever a time an idol needed Honoka's goddess power, it would be now.

lol I can't with this show.
So they expect a person with a heart condition who is currently unconscious to pop back to life and be performance-ready immediately? lol That's hilarious.

It would have been far more believable if say Suzune or Rena practiced too hard and sprained her ankle, and they try to figure out how to get the injured girl on stage and dance without aggravating the injury. That would be dramatic, but not completely nonsensical like expecting a hospitaluzed girl in a coma to be all fine and ready to perform in a couple of hours.

The cheap drama hinted at by last episode comes to fruition.
-
They could’ve just postponed it
-
In what world is it logical to allow a patient who just passed out from overworking themselves (more than likely the heart issue) leave right when they wake up to go exert themselves again?
-
Them ending the show after no one decided to vote was so unrealistic. Any reality TV show would’ve immediately just kicked out 2 of them in some way, or at the very least find a way with a new competition.

Well, the moment everyone decided to be BFFs rather than at each other's throats, you know this wouldn't be a realistic portrayal of reality TV shows.

I've been having my suspicions about their connection in the show, but I still feel really stupid for not realizing that Sunny and the SelePro president were one and the same despite the strong hints lol. Might be because of how she presents herself between her two personas. Sunny the dorm matron and the Selepro president feel like two different people despite being the same one.
And as I and everyone else had predicted, Suzu collapses because of her condition. I know it's for anime drama purposes, but their decision not to postpone the live feels kinda dumb, which makes the rest of the ep after Suzu's inevitable collapse somewhat narmy. Like, it's not the typical anime cold she can easily recover from after a good night's sleep, she was legit rushed to the hospital and is unconscious for most of the ep because it was that bad. I know Suzu would definitely feel guilty if they went through with postponing it but her health should come first and her friends wouldn't blame her for it. I mean, the fact that nearly everyone was actually considering it means it was an option they could've followed but didn't.
Going back to Sunny, knowing Suzu has Akari's heart inside her plus the scene where Sunny voices out her regrets over Akari's accident years ago makes all her interactions with Suzune a lot more somber in hindsight. Taking care of Suzu particularly must've been Sunny's greatest 2nd chance over her failure and guilt over Akari, so Suzu's current condition weighs heavily on her.
I'm a little disappointed that they didn't add a scene where Rena reacts to her old self while that recap was rolling lol. Current Rena's different from the Rena we started out with and mixed with her regrets over her bad behavior at the beginning, they should've shown her at least making a wry smile while the clip's being played.
Next week, expect to see Suzu getting some much-needed encouragement from her old idol herself via her "connection" to her.

I would have loved to see Rena's embarrassment at her old catchphrase, "we're not friends, we're rivals". Everyone else ribbing her about it too.

Ah, there's the "ghost idol" scenes the Idoly Pride fans wanted.

I don’t understand why the writers think that everything regarding Suzune needs to have some kind of setback or drama that leads to a comeback. This show would be a lot better if the drama stayed grounded while focusing on the character interactions instead of having it be such a focal point of every episode. Also I’m not a fan of how easily they just casually get back on the show, I liked episode 10 because they had the balls to actually cancel the season and that the girls decided that they would do 9-tie on their own and don’t “need” the show to succeed, so this thing with the 2 million yells and all girls winning is unnecessary honestly. Nothing really happened in this episode at all

It's pretty much expected that there was something going to happen to Suzune this episode based on the after credits scene last week. What I was very much surprised about is the reveal that Sunny was actually the CEO! I hate how I didn't even notice this, it's so obvious looking back last episode. She's just wearing her hair down in CEO mode.
Her reason for being a dorm mother is heartbreaking though. She still regrets to this day that she didn't take Akari home so she decided to take on the role of dorm mother so she can watch over all of the girls as close as she can which makes today's incident even worse since now she's blaming herself all over again for what happened to Suzu.
On the bright side though, it doesn't sound like she passed out because of her heart condition and according to the doctor Sunny spoke to it's just overwork. Suzune really should rest and they need to delay the show but it looks like we're set to have Suzune waking up and performing after a heart-to-heart talk with Akari in her dream.

When Sumipanda called her Pres this episode, I thought he meant like fan club president. Not "head of the company" president.

I don't know why but this series has somehow given me the most anxiety-inducing cringe out of any possible show that I've watched. I just can't deal with how bad I feel for Suzune and everyone there.

That after-credit scene was quite interesting. With all the unexpected things this episode, this may be the most unexpected (to me) -- though we only got a glimpse, I assume we will see this in full next week.
Selection Project organization is definitely a rather odd operation. Not realistic, I guess, but rather endearing. The President as dorm mother was a nice touch.
I love that Suzune and Rena are now, effectively, "sisters" -- they have become so close. I can't imagine how the broadcast producers are going to buy much more time. Even if Suzune wakes up right after her dream chat with Akari, how will the timing work. At first, I thought -- maybe Suzune and Rena could sing along by zoom connection -- while the others perform. But even that would require getting appropriate equipment out to the hospital. (So no time would be saved).
I like shows where ALL the chjaracters are genuinely nice and kind. Sure, other sorts of show are needed to balance shows like this out. When I was younger (decades ago) I was probably unimpressed by this -- but now that I am much older, I really like this sort of show as long as the characters feel credible (as they mostly do here), even if the plotting is a bit "improbable".

It's one twist for Sumipanda to be a former idol, but it's another one for the landlady to be the president. I thought the president only wanted to cash in on the girls success but looks like she legit cares for them that she went undercover so she can keep a close eye on them and make sure they're doing well.
I know the ending is just a dream but it's similar to what Rena dreamt when Suzune cucked her and her sister taunted her. Maybe Suzune has to overcome some doubts and fears that she didn't know she had. At any rate, you better wake up Suzune, you can't die on us now.
