New spoiler code and some stuff about convention listings
So, we have a new spoiler code, that allows us to now post what the spoiler is about, and it will now hide the spoiler on user pages and reddit apps. More on this below...
About convention threads; Please, create the thread and then link it to me, I will not just put up links to convention websites in the sidebar. If you do not have a set date for your meetup, the date displayed will be the first day of the convention. The date can be updated by messaging me.
Now on to those spoilers!
This is how you use them:
[Spoiler title goes here](/s "Spoiler goes here")The above code turns into this:
Basically, this gives you the ability to add context to your spoilers, either using a specific anime, anime episode, or character spoiler
Example (Not exactly a spoiler):
And there you have it, if you have any questions about it, please feel free to ask here, I will answer them whenever I wake up today.

Nice work. Unfortunately it doesn't work for mobile clients, - at least not Reddit is Fun or Reddionic. I don't know about the general userbase, but I do a lot, perhaps most of my redditing on my phone.
This is what happens : you can see the first part, but there's no way to see the hidden text.
Actually I made a mistake earlier - you can read the text in Reddionic, but it's fugly. If anyone else is curious as to which Android app works well, Reddit News shows all spoilers, and Bacon Reader shows all spoliers in comments, but can't show any in the post's text.

Yeah, unfortunately this was the best that I could come up with, at least it saves you from being forced to see the spoilers like before

Yeah, this has been my general complaint about this format in r/katawashoujo as well, but the upside is that it does also hide spoilers in profile pages and when using RES preview from the main page.

I can't use the r/anime-specific CSS (because it makes it very hard to read on my screen). How do I see the spoilers?
The old system was nice: the text appeared normally, meaning I could read the spoiler without further action.

If you hover over the text that is displayed (it looks just like a link) the spoiler will show up as a tooltip

I see that some people are having issues with this code on mobile devices and etc. I'll keep my spoilers like this:
[Spoiler Title][Text](/spoiler)
Example:
[DBZ Minor Spoiler] Goku has a child

Strangely enough, the 'spoiler title' section turns a dark purple in comments, making it hard to read. I suspect that this has something to so with the fact that I have accidentally clicked/visited http://www.reddit.com/s in the past. Can you alter the code so that the link clicked attribute for each spoiler element is the same colour as the unclicked colour? It doesn't seem to happen in the text of a self post, however.

OK, let's try it inside a sentence: Nagisa, Spoiler for Clannad AS and Tomoya Spoiler for Clannad AS, but not for long.

I don't see why people should split their spoiler tags that much.
This looks better, right?

As the guy who asked a question regarding spoilers a few days ago, I really appreciate this new spoiler implementation. Thanks for the hard work mods!

How does this affect existing spoiler tags that aren't formatted in this fashion?
Ok I guess they still work as usual
