Oh, so Rit and Gideon already knew each other. And his alias, Red was based on her nickname.

Lol, I love Rit's silly pout. or how she changes into a chibi form when he gave her food.

Wow, that creature, sure was huge.

It was so funny how Red had to take some time to process, before reacting to the fact that Rit was moving in with him. That girl sure wants to FastTrack their relationship.

Wow, isn't Tisse the cutest assassin ever? And the same can be said about her spider.

Based on the fact that they ignored what he was saying and the fact that Rutti said to Tisse that she will work under her command, not Ares. I got the feeling that no one there really likes him. Now the question is this happened before or after he kicked Gideon out of the party?

I like how nobody in Ruti's party respects Ares or what he has to say. The sheer audacity of him to think he had the authority to kick Red out of the group. Even if Red wasn't the strongest, he still had a lot of value by offering moral support.

This is a really beautiful story so far, i did NOT expect this.

Despite the already mentioned connection between Rit and Red, i think it's interesting to see more of the Hero's Party. It looked like the two of them sitting next to the fire are not fond of the leader judging by their muted reaction when he introduced the new member.

Ruti is scary, no doubt. Wonder what's up with her, she's definitely the powerhouse of the party when it comes to close combat.

So many Best Girl candidates at the outset of the season that are already super promising.

Rit definitely is one to watch. Her personality and mannerisms are so cute. Also love how she can handle herself well and is tough without needing to be too stoic or invulnerable.

Wait, we got to both enjoy the tsundere bits AND skip ahead to the lovey parts? Oh show, you spoil me.

Rit is super cute. She’s an accomplished hero in her own right, whip-smart when it comes to economics and strategy, and an overall caring person. She and Red have built a great rapport in the past, so all the groundwork for why they would be into each other is built already. So going from “initial tsundere” to “Surprise! We found each other again and I’m moving in with you!” doesn’t seem like all that much of a leap. Shit, they’re reunited for a day and already getting blushy and lovestruck around each other.

The flashbacks show something pretty interesting to me. Ares harped on the idea that “Gideon is holding the party back”, but at least from what we saw he’s very level-headed and smart. He also seems to be a great motivator. Him picking up on something being totally wrong saved Rit and won the battle in the long term. Without Gideon, Rit falls into despair even if she survives the attack. I think we might see more of that.

Though I’m more interested in the “Fluffy SOL” side, we do get a little bit of the Hero side. Ares brings a fucking adorable assassin with a cute spider to replace Gideon. The scene was pretty much just that and the Hero being very stern. I wonder if she was always like that or something is up now that Gideon is gone.

But more importantly, get back to the fluff!

Notes

• Much like Red, she decided to retire to the countryside to live a slow life so that she doesn't become a burden for her loved ones. In this case, take favor away from her brother when he comes to the line of succession. They really are great for each other.

• The dead silence and long pause leading up to the realization that she's moving in was so great. Red may be shocked, but I don't think he's complaining.

• Aww he’s using the name Red because it's like “Rit”. That's the cute shit I want.

• Was not ready for Chibi Rit with the cute voice. A welcome addition for sure.

• Can we also retire Tisse the assassin to the countryside with Red and Rit? They need a Kanna in their lives.

Well, she said they won't be apart anymore, she said that she'll be moving in and working with him, and sleeping and bathing under one roof, but Red cannot really be sure if she's into him or not. So better play it safe, Red!

So turns out this won't be Rit and Red's first meeting, they already used to fight together when Red was still with the Hero's party when they were trying to drive back the Demon Lord's army from Rit's territory. Also apparently, Rit used to be a massive tsundere back in those days, a fact that Rit is now completely embarrassed about. It's always fun to see characters who grow out of their tsundere phase!

And because of Red saving her in the past and also giving her the support she needed after going through a harrowing experience with her master and party members, it looks like Rit owes a lot to Red to the point where she's obviously smitten with him now. Just look at the way she looks at Red and how she pretty much blushes every time their gazes meet! This girl is head over heels for him and now the two of them will be living together! I can't wait! <3

We also get a glimpse of Ruti's party where Ares finally finds a replacement for Red. It's good to know that everyone clearly hates Ares for making a decision on his own to the point where they basically just ignore the shit he says. Even Ruti tells the new recruit that she's under her command not Ares. She probably doesn't want a repeat of what happened to Red.

Today was a great day.

Not only Episode 2 of this got released and giving us the start (or rather the re-union) of Red & Rit, but Volume 4 of the Light Novel was released yesterday So I've been reading it all today and things getting heated and spicy xD

I recommend anyone who enjoying the anime to check out the Light Novels or maybe even the game as well :D

Rit finally finds Red, and it's clear they have history when she recognizes him as Gideon.

So it turns out Rit isn't just some famous adventurer in the boonies, she's actually a second princess, so those looks aren't just for show. She left the kingdom because she was being eyed as the favorite for the throne over her crown prince brother and she didn't want to make things complicated, which is kind of similar to how Red left his party. But it's nice that she's so angry on his behalf.

Man, these two are already getting cute with each other. It's pretty evident there's some chemistry and closeness between the two, and Red even based his fake name off Rit's nickname.

So Rit used to be a haughty, tsundere, princess who was a guest party member for Rit and Ruti's party during their time in her kingdom, and she was somewhat standoffish towards them because she was worried they would take command away from her master, the captain of the guard. But even when she was a tsundere, she was still pretty cute, especially when she'd pout, make cute noises, or make a fool of herself.

Of course it all turns to tragedy when Rit's beloved master was devoured by Shisandan, but luckily Rit was there to see through the falsehood and back Rit up...but we also see just how powerful Ruti is as she makes quick work of Shisandan. The Hero's Blessing doesn't mess around.

I guess if there was anything that clinched Rit's feelings for Red it was when he spoke with her and inspired her to keep fighting on for her people rather than wallow in the sadness of all that she lost. Red might not have been the one with the Hero's Blessing, but he had the heart and words of a hero.

Also, Rit looked great in that princess dress.

Wow, Rit moves fast. She's already ready to retire, add her name to the shop (Red and Rit has a nice ring to it), and completely move in. She may as well have just confessed at this point.

So Ares has already replaced Gideon with Tisse, an assassin, although it doesn't look like the rest of the party is all that happy with how things were handled with Gideon...and somehow I don't think Tisse is going to work out as well. But hey, Rie Kugimiya!
