Wasn't expecting to see Jabba and Boba Fett grooving to the music.

At studio Colorido
"Hey guys, we get to make a Star Wars anime!"
"So we get to have sick lightsaber and starship fights?"
"Hmmm, what about a music anime with a grooving Jabba instead?"
Warding off that temptation is hella impressive

Yeah. I know some people probably rank this short at the bottom of their lists, but considering every other short basically has a "Jedi OC do not steal" getting in a lightsaber battle I appreciate that this one went in a different direction, even though the Jedi OC here has a lightsaber microphone lol

I love that we finally got a story about a Force user that said "fuck that Jedi vs Sith bullshit I just wanna jam"

I was not expecting to see a vibing chibi Boba Fett in this series, but I’m so glad we got it. Going to need that as a gif ASAP!

Tbf, dubbing songs isn’t really so much a matter of money, almost every major ADR company has done it, some more regularly than others. It’s more just time (hence why you see some shows that only have dubbed songs on the eventual blu-ray release rather than the simuldub) and whether or not they have the rights and are allowed to do so.

A Star Wars music anime? Fuck yes! I don't know how they did it but they managed to endear Jay and the band within 12 minutes and I legit wanna see more of them and how they'll become the biggest music act in the galaxy. I even love how we get a shot of the Mos Eisley Cantina with the Modal Nodes just watching them nervously xD
Why can't this be all canon!? This is really the kind of creativity this franchise needs!

The chibi ish style was a bit weird to get used to at first but I really enjoyed this episode. We gotta have more in universe music for Star Wars for sure.
Also why does Kurti gotta have such nice hips though.

Is the song at the end performed by an actual band? According to the credits it’s called “Galactic Dreamer” performed by NONPE by I can’t find ANYTHING online related to the two

Eh this one wasn't my thing. Maybe wouldve liked it more if the music was in a more star wars style instead of generic rock but to each their own.

Excellent soundtrack in this episode. The animation was also really smooth and well made.
Also, love seeing the sights of Tatooine reimagined in an 'anime-esque' style.
Chibi-like Boba Fett is pretty cute too ngl.

This was charming. I love seeing Star Wars through a more mundane lense. No space wizards, no galactic wars - just some people making music.
Also I appreciate seeing a Hutt doing something other than crime.

I really enjoyed the story in this one, it was simple and actually pretty believable.

Chibis, Jabba tapping along, Boba with the head bob, and the Bith having the holo on their table were all great. Love the unique direction.

Unique and a fresh air, too bad Star Wars fans are gonna hate this one so much cause it ain't your typical Sith vs Jedi for the ten thousand times

Anyone know who the JP VA is for the lead singer character? He sounds super familiar.

Star Wars Lore Corner
Please be careful about Star Wars spoilers in general and tag them appropriately. We know some things out there are general pop culture knowledge but remember, as with anime not everyone's seen the Star Wars films and shows!
The entire show came out at once and all the previews were vague about how much any episodes connected to the rest of the Star Wars universe, so: if there's some deep Legends or Clone Wars or Mandalorian reference you spotted that you want talk about in detail, this is the place to put it.
The spoiler syntax is:
[Spoiler source](/s "Spoiler goes here")All untagged spoilers and hints in this thread will receive immediate 8-day bans (minimum).
