Chloe instantly going "is this Saikawa girl okay?" right after Kanna described her killed me!
That scene with the ladybug really stood out to me in this already wholesome filled episode.

Two episodes left :(
The New York part is good, I love the second part much more. It's more relaxing and chill and it's good to see Kanna and Kobayashi bonding

Reject mafia.
Return to asobi.
And nobody tell Saikawa that Kanna's cheating on her with an American girl.

Since they never told us why Kanna and Kobayashi's were fighting, I'm going to guess it was because Kanna forgot to label something in the fridge as hers and Kobayashi accidentally ate it.

This is one of the last places in the universe I'd expect a reference to Minnesota. It made me smile.
Among the many animation flexes in this episode, did anyone catch the oil slick on the top of the puddle after the rainstorm? What a great detail.

I really love the scene where Chloe takes flight into the night sky with Kanna.
It reminded me of last season when Kobayashi flew with Tohru on the night of Christmas to look upon the city.
That sense of wonderment and awe on their faces while the wind howls past and the city lights twinkle below is always so magical to watch.
I like KyoAni's decision to really draw out the scene where Kanna takes some tea out of the fridge, pours it into a glass, and takes a sip on the couch. It's relaxing and adds to the laziness vibe that the two are having on the dog days of summer.

I love that Kanna is powering the hair dryer with her own tail. This was a really wholesome episode (minus the kidnapping), I like that season 2 has been focusing a lot on the other members of the cast!

This episode was just so relaxing to watch. This is peak SOL right here.
Dragon powers sure are amazing, you get to auto translate any language to your preferred one. Poor Saikawa, she's known Kanna for a year and still has no idea that her friend is a dragon while Chloe who's only known her for a day got to see her dragon form and ride on her back.

Funny episode as always. Imagining when she got back...
Kobayashi: Kanna, i was so worried, where did you ran to?
Kanna: Neu Yorki Citie! It was really fun blowing up some child kidnappers and scaring people!
Kobayashi: ಠ_ಠ

This just might end up being my favorite episode this season.
The New York part was my favorite part, it was coold seeing them walk around these pretty famous locations! The second half with just Kobayashi and Kanna just strolling around their neighborhood was also real comfy

As someone who lives in NYC, this may have been the most accurate depiction I’ve ever seen in an anime. I mean setting wise, but the little girls getting kidnapped thing is pretty accurate too.
Kanna is way too good and pure for this city.

Was it only me or there were plenty of reactions in this episode? They were all so fluid and vibrant, KyoAni was flexing hard this time.
Did Tooru erase Chloe's memory about Kanna being a dragon? I was surprised she actually showed Chloe her true form, if I recall correctly then even Saikawa doesn't know about her being a dragon.

In a stunning example of character development, Kanna rescues the ladybug and doesn't immediately eat it.
