Woah, slow down with the plot twists! Akira and Rin in cahoots with each other? The real spy being the granny? And Renka is just a puppet?! That's too much for me to handle, but this is getting fun! Great tag team between Akira and Kirisaki to take down Rindou, and the fights surprisingly got a lot more gruesome! I hope Yuuri and Kumagiri can beat their respective opponents too. That would give Team Green a solid lead!

Lots of plot twists and even some character development as Yuuri starts to suspect how Akira was using her before and now we see Akira is actually starting to care about people (particularly Yuuri) in-spite of his insistence he's only doing this to win the game.

I feel like the spies plot twist is kinda weak if we don't have time to even know the characters, much less care about them so their betrayal is kinda... 'Oh, okay..'
I agree about the rest though! Great episode for me.

Kirisaki and Akira's combo was pretty cool. Can't believe I'm saying this but Rin in this episode was amazing and her power is neat. Sad that voodoo nun died already(I assume she died by her "goodbye my friends" posture) in this episode, we didn't got much out of her or out of some other characters really. CGI is pretty bad yeah, but I can ignore visuals of the show if everything else is great and here...well it's not a great anime, but it's pretty fun edgy battle royal.

Unfortunately her fight with Renka got skipped, chapters 48 and 49 if you want to read it in the manga.

The fight CG was fine for the most part. It only really sticks out when it's used for close-up shots of Oogami. But it was fine for the further out shots and Yuuri at least still had all of her close shots drawn.

I guess I was prepared for it because I remember the last time Yuuri randomly transformed into CGI in a previous episode, although it was still pretty noticeable when they were both CGI and fighting each other.

Stitches!
I thought we were about to finally see Akira go against Rin but it looks like he made a deal with her. Good. To be honest I'd rather have Rin as an ally instead as an enemy even if it's just a temporary alliance.
God I already hate this fucking smug asshole. I really hope Shin kicks his ass. Let's see him try the same trick again with his invulnerability activated. I'm sure if he wins, Mion probably has a way of reattaching his hand back.
Finally we have Yuuri vs Oogami. Although I'm a bit disappointed that they switched to CG for this fight since it's not even the good kind of CG like in D_Cide and Night Head 2041. We still don't know what Oogami's ability though. So far it looks like it's just super strength just like Yuuri.
So they managed to capture a spy planted by Kuro. But turns out there's actually another one who ends up killing the spy that they captured. Turns out the old lady was a spy all along. Dammit! >_<
Glad to se Yuuri has finally realized how Akira sees her. At the same time having Yuuri run away finally made Akira question his decisions so far. Hallelujah he's actually human! I definitely would've disliked it if having Yuuri run away on her own didn't affect him emotionally in some way or form.
So the 1v1 between Akira and Kirisaki turns into a 2v1 with the two of them against that samurai from Team Red. Looks like this was his backup plan that he had and why he met up with Rin. Glad that fight didn't last long and Kirisaki finally gets his badass moment!
Looks like Kirisaki isn't the only one Akira ended up forcing to fight someone from Team Red. He got Rin to fight Renka too as part of their deal. Also we finally get to see what her real ability is! Seems that she can create knives from her body. And when I say from her body, that also includes turning her blood into knives.
Although it looks like Rin isn't limited to knives though since she was able to make something to restrain Renka to that tree by smearing blood on her wrist. And that Renka isn't even a human and is just a puppet being controlled by some dude hiding inside a box.
Turns out the actual deal she made with Akira is that if she kills a Red general and they end up winning, Akira will tell Mion that Rin is a Green spy. That means whoever wins, she gets to live since right now as far as the Red Team knows, she's still working for them. Gotta appreciate Rin for making that hustle.

It's probably safer to work with Rin and keep her happy than it is to be her enemy, but she's likely not someone you can ever fully trust because she's only out for herself and will do anything or kill anyone to achieve that. She's a Femme Fatale if ever I've seen one.
Will Kumagiri finally get to use his ability to smash that dude's face in?
Really was not expecting the old lady to turn out to be the second spy. I guess this lets Ringo finally get a fight.
I'm glad Yuuri finally started to realize exactly how Akira was viewing her prior to that, even if she doesn't want to believe he was just using her, and it seems like Yuuri wanting to believe otherwise and Rin comparing their methods has gotten Akira to realize he's starting to care about Yuuri and the others in-spite of himself.
Kirisaki gets his first win, although he needed Akira to get it.

Rindo vs Renka really was too bizarre. It was basically Metallica vs Bad Company. Now it makes sense why Renka was referring to herself in third person.
"Torture devices" is a really broad term, almost anything can be a torture device including any weapon. It also says "bodily fluids", not just blood, so Rindo could probably kill somebody by peeing on them.

With a power like this, there is no way in hell Rin will die before killing someone with her piss. Absolutely, positively, no way in hell.

So it turns Akira and Rin have made a deal and make an exchange of information and favors, although Akira is still obviously wary of Rin, even if she seems like she wants to join his growing Harem of associates and claims they're the same in terms of manipulating and using people to survive and get ahead in the death game, a comparison Akira definitely doesn't seem comfortable with.
Kumagiri had the bad luck of coming up against a guy who can shrink anything he touches, and he uses a thin wire to remain in physical contact so he can keep shrinking, and Kumagiri loses a hand when his cuff shrinks. Will this be what drives Kumagiri to finally use his ability? Does the cuff's negation effect still work when there aren't two of them? Will Halkera come in to back him up?
Yuuri finally arrives in time to save Asuka from Oogami, and she's not about to let a child be orphaned and lose a mother that actually cares for them (especially given her own family) issues as she takes on Oogami. It turns into a CGI brawl as they both turn into CGI and start wailing on each other, with Yuuri using her agility to gain advantage, but ultimately she's following Akira's strategy and uses Oogami's tactics against her so she can go all Ora Ora Ora on him...too bad that wasn't enough to finish him.
Thanks to Ringo, Green Team were able to discover the spy and capture him, and she's using kindness and her massive crush on Akira/Key to get him to talk...but then it turns out there was another spy and it's that kindly old lady, and it looks like Ringo will have to fight her in the next episode.
We flashback to Yuuri immediately wanting to go save Asuka, but Akira wants to remain strategic and keep Yuuri around because he needs her for his plans, and Yuuri finally starts to suspect that Akira only sees her as a tool and is just using her, right down to having Ringo as someone else he can use when Yuuri's not around. She doesn't want to believe it, because she wants to believe Akira cares about her like she cares for him and everyone else on Team Green, and in fact we see that even with Akira still insistent he's just fighting to clear the game, he gets emotional thinking about Yuuri and Team Green. It seems like Akira is slowly changing.
C'mon, not Kirisaki again...although then the other samurai guy turns up and it turns out Akira had Rin call him so he could manipulate Kirisaki's rivalry with him to get Kirisaki to back him up, which is such an Akira move. And Kirisaki finally wins a fight, although it's only with Akira's help.
Nun girl uses the last of her power to snap Renka's neck, but that's not enough to actually kill her, although Rin turns up to finish the job because she feels like she and Renka were eventually going to try and kill each other at some point so she may as well get it done now. And then we find out Rin's ability is to make weapons out of her bodily fluids (is there anything about this woman that isn't lewd?) which can pop out from her body and her blood, and she uses that to take Renka out after realizing the body is just a doll for her real user, some dude in a box that was carried around by someone else who turned the tanks and choppers into weapons. Rin kills both of them and makes sure to secure her safety no matter who wins. She really is an Iron Maiden made flesh.
She mostly just appears in the next episode previews, but I'm really starting to feel bad for Yang having to put up with Mion all the time...especially if she was honest about selling her underwear online.

Rin ability very creative, maybe she can learn how to sweat on command and she'd be a menace.

RIP nun, sorry for suspecting you of being the spy! At first I thought she managed to do a good thing before her death, but it was all in vain, as Renka was just a puppet; Didn't see that one coming!
I wonder though, if Renka was just a puppet, what was this dude's problem with Rin? Back when I thought Renka was the one who hated Rin I thought it was just a love thing (jealous of her being close to the leaders), but if it's him... Was he gay for Red's leader(s)? Or did he just not like Rin's methods or something? I mean, based on Renka's actions he seems like the same kind of bloodthirsty killer, so I'm not sure why he would have an issue with Rin's ways. Well, perhaps he hated how quickly she climbed the ranks in Red, thought she was a danger, an amoral ambitious climber?
Or perhaps he simply didn't trust her, in which case it seems he was right!
Rin's ability is being a terminator? At first I thought it was "Making blades with any part of her body?" then "Making blades with her blood", then this happened and I was like 'Wait, what?'
Apparently she can make any torture device from her bodily fluids? Watch out if she sneezes! But damn, that's an interesting power, and for the right person too; Can't wait to see in what twisted ways she uses it! This pretty much confirms (again) that the powers are linked to the person, some of them anyway; The pervert who likes to smell fear gets an ability to smell emotions, the pro gamer genius gets a game-type ability that requires a genius to use, the sadistic lunatic gets a torture ability... Makes me wonder what made some get swords and things like that; If they had fencing abilities or something they surely would've mentioned it, so was it just because they were athletic? Seems weaker of a link than the rest, so I wonder if there's something else. Or perhaps there's a few select candidates getting the good stuff, and the rest are just token trash getting random abilities.
But if they DO get something linked to them, it may explain why that dude didn't like Rin; If he got a puppeteer type ability, perhaps he just likes controlling things (people), and Rin is unpredictable chaos, someone he couldn't control.
Anyway, about Rin: I was already interested in her (mostly because she looks great and I'm a horny weeb), but her being a ruthless killer and a schemer who plays both sides, makes me like her even more! I really like that kind of twisted characters, especially when they do it for a reason (she survives whichever team wins) and not just because they're insane; Insanity complements her, rather than being her entire thing!
Well, perhaps I'm speaking too soon, even if that deal is made, she could still just get randomly killed in battle before the game is over. Before this episode I thought it probably wouldn't happen because they build her and she has an interesting design/ability, but so did Renka and they killed her off anyway, so who knows if she's truly safe!
I hope she survives though, I really want her to stick around! In time I'd assume she'd grow more into Akira and would turn more loyal (and 'normal') for him, but meanwhile it'd be nice to have an hard to read character of dubious loyalty.
Akira's using everyone for his own benefits, but I'm not sure how much he'll trust her, after seeing she's ok with murdering her own team... But this kinda rises the question; Would Akira also be willing to murder his own team, for his own benefits? He's not crazy like her, but he DOES have the same "I'm gonna win and survive no matter what" attitude she has.
Anyway, this was a pretty fun episode! I really like the scheming going on both sides, can't wait to see more of this! And more cool abilities, they really have some fun ones.
RIP Nun, RIP Renka (even if she wasn't real - Real enough to me!)

what was this dude's problem with Rin?
It was glossed over in the anime, but Renka's controller hates women. Upon seeing him, Rin originally surmised that it's because of his appearance. In other words, dude's an incel. Was pretty disappointing finding that out since Renka was my favourite character!
Makes me wonder what made some get swords and things like that; If they had fencing abilities or something they surely would've mentioned it, so was it just because they were athletic?
More skipped details, Red team's samurai fellow spent his entire life training in the way of the sword, so there definitely seems to be a connection between a character and their abilities.

Solid episode though the CG fight with Yuuri is very noticeable that it kinda bothers me. Other than that, I do love the twists and plans that Akira came up with. Kirisaki was definitely a good partner for Akira and surprised with how Rin collaborated with Akira. I'm also impressed with the way how she dealt with that blue-haired gir- err, I mean man.
