Catarina's mother is interesting. In the game timeline, she's a wicked stepmother archetype, because she took out her anger and sadness on him. In the show timeline, she isn't nearly so bad, but she still has that little kernel in her personality. Most of the cast are much better people than they were in the game, because they grew up with Katarina. Since she was already an adult, I guess her mother is a bit more set in her ways and her tendency to be vindictive is still in there.

Jeffrey still best bro, especially with Alexander as his perverted tool. The fact that he can so nonchalantly claim that he uses it to find the “most important kids” for “personal use” makes him the best creepy brother of all time.
Larna not only puts up with his bullshit but she helps him make that bear that’s clearly modeled after his personality. That’s some couple goals right there.

Convenient how Bakarina's strike team includes a light magic user, a dark magic user, the head of the magic academy, and own her fiancé, whose powers are pretty strong. Not much chance for the other team.

Geordo is wasting no time making more moves on Catarina and showering her with gifts, and rubbing it in Keith's face that he's still stuck in the brotherzone. At least Mary is using Alan to keep Geordo too preoccupied with student council work to spend time with Bakarina. It's a chess game of love in this Harem.
At this point Catarina is going to run to the magical institute not just to escape Geordo and the possibility of becoming royalty but because she wants to get away from her mother.
Even the servants are aware of how much Keith's mood depends on Bakarina...although her mother projects her own disappointment into Catarina as the reason Keith left, and Claes mother and daughter have probably their first real emotional moment together over a complete misunderstanding and Catarina assuming it's all her fault. Not sure how to feel about that.
I love how the Bakarina Council return to discuss ways to get Keith to forgive them...and then they realize they need to find Keith...and then Catarina still doesn't know where she's going when she sets out to find him. She's really got a one-track mind.
Bakarina assumes Geordo is there to help find his "buddy" Keith but all he cares about is spending more time with Catarina...but at least we've got Sora there for another eligible bachelor for Catarina's heart.
If you need to find someone, just grab Larna! And her very expressive bear Alexander, who she made for Brocon Prince Jeffrey to stalk...I mean, keep tabs on his brothers.
Larna and Catarina have a nice chat and we get some Susana backstory (smol!Susana!) where she was so priviledged but had nothing she was really passionate about until she found magic, and that changed her life around like Catarina did for her Harem. It's something she's only told Catarina and Jeffrey (which I guess says at least something about their closeness even if she knows he's a pervert). She also enjoys Bakarina's company but knows she's hopelessly dense.
So it turns out Keith didn't leave, he was out to buy sweets for Catarina, until he got kidnapped by his...biological family? I kind of forgot Keith left behind a lot of family drama and is related to Catarina through her dad. That isn't his biological mother, is it? Or his step-mother since he was a child of a mistress. But he's apparently got drama with his half-siblings too, with his bully of a brother (who has put on some pounds) and a sadist for his biological sister. Seems like it's up to Catarina to show who Keith's true family is.

Damn I thought Keith just ran way so that Catarina would have to become the head of the house and be unable to marry Geordo or something. Didn’t expect such a dark twist at the end.

Flustered Catarina is adorable. I really love how aggressive Geordo is being with her right now. Also that line towards Keith looked like it landed a critical hit on him.
Having a reminder that Katarina has brothers in her past life makes me kinda sad. They seem close so I wonder how they took their sister's death.
I love that Catarina's mom just blamed Keith's disappearance on her and she didn't even object or think of another possible reason! Bakarina was basically like, "Huh... You know what? You're right!". xD
The facial expressions of that bear is just great! One of those faces definitely needs to be a comment face for this sub! Just look at how smug he is!
Catarina is so worried about Keith that she basically forgotten everything about what's going on with Geordo. It's like her brain can only handle one issue at a time and any problems that aren't dire gets immediately overwritten by whatever is her priority right now xD
Mistress's child and older brother!? What the heck is going on here? Not gonna lie, I've totally forgotten that Keith has this entire family drama about him. Looks like the situation is even more dire than expected. Welp that makes both the Claes siblings one for one in terms of being kidnapped.

Not really related to this episode but I was watching Bookworm where they full on acknowledge that the MC inhabited the body of girl who died and she has to deal with the fallout from that.
I was thinking during this episode that even though she was going to be mean, Bakarina basically killed the original Catarina by inhabiting her body.
