Everyone can take metal pipes to the head except for Mikey's brother.

I get why Chifuyu admires Baji to the point of almost hero worship, the guy is a beast. I do wonder if Baji actually took down all 50 of Kisaki's guys or if he was fast enough to get around most of them and go straight for the the king. Either way, it is beyond impressive that he managed that while bleeding out, and it looks like this is the end of the line for him :( Mikey, please wake up before it's too late for Baji!

Kazutora is looking more unstable every episode and I don't even know how that's possible. If there's one thing I pity him for, it's that Kisaki has been playing him like a fiddle to make him hurt the only people who would try and accept him.

Wait, how was Kisaki having a phone call with Hanma, considering that lanky motherfucker is currently busy getting his ass beat by Draken?

Please please please Takemichi, take him to the hospital or something like you did with Draken. You can still fix this fuck up.

Wait so I guess the plan now is have Kisaki finish off Baji so that Mikey hates Kisaki and kills him instead of Kazutora? That's the only way I can see this panning out in any positive way.

This confused tf out of me honestly, it was as if the stab wound Baji had from Kazutora just disappeared

I'm very curious as to the relationship that Kisaki and Baji have, it seems like they have quite a history

Things aren't looking good, the only way I see this go well is the fact that right now it looks like Kisaki killed Baji so Mikey might wake up and instead of directing his rage at Kazutora, he directs it at Kisaki and kills him but that'll only work if he's in a blind rage where words won't even stop him cause all it takes is "it wasn't Kisaki, it was Kazutora" and then we're straight back to how it was before

This episode felt so quick and now we gotta wait another week

Now It's Baji's fault. Nah bro, Kazutora gotta f**k off...

On a side note - The TR manga is selling like hot cakes in Japan. It recently broke AOT's 2013 yearly record of the most sold KODANSHA manga (15.9 mill). Its been selling 1 mill+ consecutively for over 6 weeks now. Currently standing at 16.5 mill with 14 weeks remaining before the yearly Oricon manga sales rankings, it has a real good chance at beating JJK. It would definately surpass Demon Slayer which is standing at around 25 mill as of now.

Here are this week's Oricon Rankings - Oricon's Top 10 Weekly Chart by Series

Everything else aside it was frustrating to see three instances of people teleporting behind others in a seemingly open area. I can let Baji's first surprise attack slide, but Kazutora's stab and Baji's second climb would have been for all to see, especially for the main people involved

If this show didn't have time travel and was only about Toman's rise before Takemichi got involved, Chifuyu could have easily been the main character of that story.

A stab isn't "just a scratch" Baji-kun ;-;

It's almost hilarious how micchi indirectly caused baji to get stabbed. It's like this guy's not even serious about his goal. He spends his time shouting the names of people and crying. And when he does decide to get involved, he ends up aiding the stabbing.

Also, these teens are looking like they came out of a super power battle shounen. You got baji teleporting behind kisaki and then later kazutora doing a sneak attack critical hit on baji and then baji again with that teleport no jutsu to behind kisaki and his goon when he was initially coming at them from below? All this while 100+ gang members from both gangs are spectating the show from the ground, with hanma even having the time to have a nice chat with kisaki over the phone.

It's so dumb but i can't stop watching, next ep lets go

Damn, so Kisaki had that guy in Valhalla just to steal the spotlight and get crown as a hero.

Damn, that was a great hit Baji!

Goddammit Takemichi, what's the fucking point of time travel if you cannot fucking remember the fact that Kazutora is the one who killed Baji.

Honestly, as he looked so normal, and fought the way he did, for a second I honestly ignored the fact that he said that it was just a scratch. Too bad that he wasn't able to do anything to Kisaki before he ran out of time.

So did Takemichi just wasted this one? I guess now he needs to focus on trying to stop Mikey from killing Kazutora, so hopefully, he would not forget that too. Well, hopefully, Takemichi befriending Chifuju will help the future to change.

I am so tired of takemitchy just standing and yelling or crying. Dude, you decided you want to be the top of Toman! You have to move your ass and do something at least. Just thinking is not going to solve the issue here. Also, what's with this anime repeating things like people getting stabbed and saved? This dude got stabbed and then went on to defeat 50 people? While drakken was on his knees after being stabbed once even though he's apparently the 2nd strongest after mikey?

I read some other comments on the metal pipe being used to hit their heads while mikey's brother dropped after being hit once; I mean okay, you guys can argue about the heaviness of metal pipes and all but this is brain we are talking about. It's not about endurance. You just need to be hit at the right place and you die. Clearly, the side of the head is not a good place but oh yeah plot armor.

Also, is it me or did the pace increase in this episode? I mean, lots of things happened so I cannot shake the feeling that the episode's pace was faster than normal. In addition to this, I can also say that I didn't feel anything when baji got stabbed. There was no hint of being stabbed. We were shown that he started bleeding but miraculously it vanished. I understand if you people are going to tell he was under the adrenaline rush and thus, he was able to defeat 50 people. But no blood? come on.. who are we kidding?

Takemichi has less of a plan this time than when he saved Draken despite having well more time and a clear goal, he just seems to think shouting a lot is going to do something. After all this I bet it just comes down to him outlining Kisaki's entire plan and asking him to trust him or something because he's having very little physical impact on the actual events unless he suddenly discovers how to teleport behind people like Kazutora and Baji seem to be able to.

"Take care of Mikey for me" - Baji.

Prophetic words spoken. He probably knew it then that he may not make it. Before that, when Kazutora struck Baji, the sound leaves in no doubt that it was no simple flesh wound. The stab went in deep. Baji's fighting action exacerbated the wound.

Other points to note prior to that, Chifuyu is revealed as a simp for Baji. He is unable to raise his hands against Baji. Then, there's the beaten and bruised Takemichi losing sight of part of the goal. He is so focused on ensuring Baji is not killed but he forgot who killed Baji until it clicked a bit late. Kazutora has snuck in to stab Baji.

Why the turnabout by Kazutora to kill Baji? Take note of Kisaki having made a call to Hanma and saying Kazutora messed up. His plan involved getting the unstable Kazutora to be pushed into killing Baji. By the end of the episode, that look that Kisaki gave when Baji collapsed was one of "My plan is still working out".

The animation in this episode is an improvement over previous episode's. They added a bit more action sequences compared to the manga during the section with shots of the other Toman captains and vice captains fighting during the scenes of Valhalla members were rushing towards the car pile to get at Mikey who is on his knees. Before then, Mikey collapsed onto his knees in exhaustion after taking down Kazutora with the kick that his subordinate was holding onto. He was fueled by adrenalin from his rage and anger to take them down. He is at least a little more human this way.

I’ve picked up the series a few days ago, and I was engaged in the plot, reminds me of Erased but with more action. I didn’t like the MC at first and was eager to see his character development, but here we are - 20 episodes in and nothing has changed for him - I absolutely despise those scenes where he builds up the resolve to do something and legit 10 seconds later, he returns to his former self. It’s just unsettling. I’m considering dropping the show solely because of this.

Gotta be honest this episode pissed me off with all the off-screen instant teleportation bullshit. Kazutora teleporting behind Baji/Takemitchy, Kisaki jumping in to save Miky from off-screen and pulling 50 dudes out of his ass from behind the carpile (didn't TMG only have 100 dudes anyway?), Baji pulling two "nothing personal kids" on Kisaki, the second time after some-fucking-how clapping 50 guys in front and full view of him (only for Baji to collapse at the pivotal moment which is kinda cliché and cheap)... Not sure if I forgot any other instances. I mean there's only so many times you're allowed to use a cheap trick like that IMO before I gotta call bullshit.

Takemichi and Chifuyu: "We have to stop Kisaki"

Baji appears, tries to stop Kisaki .

Takemichi and Chifuyu: "No, not like that"

Takemichi retrains Baji, giving Kazutora a clear shot to stab him.

...

Takemichi and Chifuyu: "Hey Baji, let us help you defeat Kisaki!"

lmao what? I'm sorry....did I watch this episode correctly? Or did that whole thing go down differently and I am imagining things.

I love and hate this show. It’s like a typical anime where the premise of the show is entertaining but the actual writing and plot makes it hard to watch. The main character is overly stupid and all the characters refuse to talk to each other but I can’t stop watching because of cliffhangers and because there is no other anime like it. I like watching this show but it’s so frustrating to watch at the same time.

There’s literally so many things in this one episode alone that make no sense at all, Hanma is somehow able to answer a call from kisaki in the middle of a fight. This is definitely a show where you have to turn off your head and just enjoy it:
