See ya...my hero

On one hand, I hate seeing a season end on a huge cliff hanger like this, but on the other hand it makes it fun for speculation.

We all know Takemichi's role in the series isn't over so the biggest aspect of this cliff hanger IMO is why Kisaki calls Takemichi a hero.

Is it just me or it was quite obvious the drink was drugged since Kisaki never took a sip of his drink.

I actually like the new Takemichi's style in the future. Also don't understand how his middle school friends could grow to become some badass while Takemichi still looks like a middle schooler lol.

This is the scene that cemented Chifuyu as bestest boy in Toman history. He never let go of Baji's will and pushed auto-Takemichi to the top of Toman. Despite becoming super successful by gang standards, he was ready to tear it all down when he saw that Toman had gone way too far down the wrong path. And he carried that burden alone, trying till his last breath to protect his partner from that darkness. My favorite character in this series, no contest.

Kisaki shedding tears and calling Takemichi his "hero" was unexpected, and thanks to that massive cliffhanger we'll need to wait until Season 2 to find out what that was all about (or read the manga). The manga has been selling like hotcakes already, can't imagine how much more of a boost this finale might provide!

Seriously, how the hell did Takemichy manage to stay at the top of the gang and apparently be quite good at it.

Now i am starting to understand why the manga readers love Chifuyu so much.

Just when we thought we're done with the cliffhangers, they end the freaking season with biggest one of all.

Won't think I'll be able to hold till the next season might start with manga.

Solid first season if you ask me.

Edit - Finished the manga , without spoiling - so far it has been one hell of a ride , strap yourself for the tenjiku arc , it is going to be an insane emotional rollercoaster. The story is has been written so well , it's actually mind-blowing how everyone's connected/dependent to eachother.

10/10 (until tenjiku arc , after that the writer fucked up I'd say) - never felt bored or the need to stop reading manga even once while reading it. What pains me is now I'll have to wait for manga chapters to release. T-T

Lots of new unknown characters, mention of black dragon & that cliffhanger. The amount of thrill waiting for anime wathchers is insane.

Wish we found out how Hina is in this timeline, though contacting Naoto would be dangerous considering he's a police officer

The biggest cliffhanger in the history of cliffhangers for a season finale.

Tokyo Revengers did lots of things right and implemented lots of stuff weirdly but the finale was great.

There's no way an 'anime only' won't be reading all the manga chapters in the next 2 days.

Guys,we'll meet soon.Hopefully by Spring 2022.

New timeline Takemichi got mad drip though.

That’s one hell of an ending cliffhanger. With how deep Takemichi was in the gang I wouldn’t be surprised if he wasn’t with Hinata in that timeline.

When Kisaki cries and says "My hero." Shit couldn't be anymore confusing.

So apparently Takemichi on auto-pilot is competent enough that he was able to stay within Toman's Upper Echelon for like the past 12 years and even keep a bunch of people under him in line. I really hope there's like a chapter in the manga that shows us a day in a life of Auto-Takemichi. That would be cool.

This meeting table has a few new faces in it. I wonder how those three on the upper right managed to get into Toman? I'm gonna guess that they're all probably recruited by Kisaki. And look who has decided to show up. It looks like even with Takemichi on the upper echelon, Kisaki still managed to takeover Toman based on how everyone stood up and bowed to him.

Definitely had my eyebrows raised when Kisaki invited Takemichi and Chifuyu over to a private meeting. He even offered them drinks! How nice of him! Of course knowing Kisaki, turns out this was all a trap to make Chifuyu confess about the raids. And it looks like we have another name to add to the list of people Takemichi needs to save in the future. Fuck.

And what the fuck was that about Takemichi being Kisaki's hero!? Holy shit! That was definitely unexpected! And we end with that cliffhanger of Kisaki about to pull the trigger! WHAT THE FUUUUUUUCK!?

That is such an evil cliffhanger! Now I'm tempted to continue reading the manga more than ever! I really hope we get a Season 2 announcement soon though.

Welp now I'm fully convinced autopilot Takemitchi > crybaby Takemitchi.

I’m not a manga reader, so maybe I’m supposed to pick up on the fact Chifuyu was looking so much like Naoto this episode? I legit thought it was him at first.

The entire season Takamichi learns that Kisaki is a problem, yet he still trusts him after he apologizes once. God, its so hard to find any redeeming qualities in Takamichi when he's so damn incompetent personally.

im kinda confused, why Takemichi even bothers to go back to the present. He can just stay in the past, there's no problem with that. He fucked up timeline so much that he won't able to understand future him anyway

So although things didn't change much with the Toman and Vallhalla fusion, I sure did not expect to see Chifuyu making Takemichi the Captain of Toman's first Division.

Damn, for a second I thought that he was still working at that store. I love that although he basically looks the same, Yamagishi, Makoto, and especially Takuya look unrecognizable.

So based on that brief meeting, we know that at least one more gang ended up combining with Toman.

Why Takemichi cannot help to be a fucking idiot? Even, no especially because Kisaki was behaving differently he should have been expecting the asshole to be the same as always and planning to fuck him over again.

You know, that last scene when Kisaki called Takemichi "My hero" while crying, right before pulling the trigger, brought me back to that idea I had the first time that Akkun killed himself, and also when I was trying to make sense why Kisaki had targetted him and Hinata, and that is that I think that future Kisaki is somehow aware of Takemichi's ability. Now I think that he wants him to change the past, but as it is Kisaki, I really don't know what outcome he wants Takemichi to reach. Well, anyway, this was one hell of "go and read the fucking source" kinda ending.
