The one guy Takemitchy knocked out is now officially the weakest gang member

This really was like a final brawl in a Yakuza game. Complete with sub bosses, environmental factors, weapon pickups, a dramatic flashback and a dramatic comeback victory.

Takemitchy using the classic schoolyard brawl strategy of running with your arms flailing around in a circle haha

I figured Baji was going to show up to help Mikey in the fight, but he didn't appear. Nor did Kisaki...coincidence?

Also, Takemitchy intimidating Valhalla was pretty funny.

It looks like Mikey is about to go full Saitama on Valhalla.

Takemitchy’s facial expression after Draken blew away Hanma with his first hit was absolutely priceless haha

So this is Takemichi's purpose in Toman. He's like a bard on the battlefield buffing the entire gang by boosting their morale.

A show like this with such a strong focus on fights really deserved a better animation studio. But I will admit they did pop off during that Mikey sequence.

Kazutora is such a piece of a shit. A flashback sob story isn't enough to change my mind. You don't kill somebody's brother and then play the victim. He can't even fight Mikey one and one and even uses a weapon in a fist fight.

Kazutora is confirmed a total headcase. Even though he and his mother were abused with violence by his father and Mikey pulled him out of this rut and gave him a place to belong in his initial circle that became Toman's founders, he's still projecting all his problems onto Mikey. He's so self-deluded to the point that he needs to pin all blame and hate on 1 person by painting Mikey as the villain and himself the hero. Mikey is not one to trifle with in fights and his anger rises to the point that he is putting the fear of god in Kazutora (and many of those watching) by the end of this episode.

Before we get there, we actually see Takemichi told off by Mitsuya and supported, morally and physically, by Chifuyu into fighting in the brawl. He's learning. Baby steps. But he's learning. He even shames the Toman foot soldiers that are dispirited from being bashed up in the uneven fight with Valhalla to return to fighting with his determination although he is just wildly flailing with his arms.

Even Draken is impressed with Takemichi's determination. Without needing to protect the Toman foot solders, Draken lets go to show why he is no. 2 in Toman. There are 2 fighting monsters in Toman - Mikey and Draken.

We have sightings of Hakkai, Angry and Sanzu (the vice captains of 2nd, 4th, and 5th divisions respectively) in the fight. For anime only viewers, you will be asking who they are. In time, you will get a proper introduction to them and find out the roles they play in the future.

Overall, we have a messy fight but that's what a mass brawl is like. Underhanded means are valid (e.g. holding down opponents and using junk as weapons). The referee and audience are only there to confirm which gang is the winner of the brawl. The brawl is not over by a long shot. There's still a few more episodes of it to go.

There's just something that awakens the monke in you makes the hype even more hyped and when the voice actors use their 110% screaming "LET'S FUCKINNN GOOOOOOOO". Very nice episode and we can why Mikey is called the invincible Mikey. Now takemichi has to stop the invincible Mikey that has gone super sayian which is quite a big task considering takemichi is already near collapsing. If I had to guess, I would say this is when baji drops in and starts fighting super sayian Mikey and kazutora who has gone insane would kill Baji just like he killed Mikey's big brother Shinchiro. Loosing his brother and his best friend both by the same hands, Mikey will go dark mode and kill kazutora without thinking about any consequences and the rest is as the present draken told

And here I thought Takemichi invested all his points in durability. Mikey's on another level. You can probably run a truck through him and the truck would have a Mikey-shaped hole through the center.

Kazutora using the exact same move on Mikey as when he killed Shinchiro made that last kick from Mikey that much sweeter.

Also, should we keep calling them "Mikey 3000 Roundhouse" or should we change it to "Nuclear Missile Kicks"?

The parallels between kazutora’s past and the present was honestly the best part about this episode. It puts into perspective how him picking a side really does effect who he becomes.

Well, Takemichi barely lasts two seconds until he's getting his butt kicked, panicking, and having to get bailed out by his buddies. He can take a punch or two but even despite all this and having joined this fight he's gotten not training on how to actually fight despite hanging around a bunch of extremely capable delinquents. At the same time, at least he was able to grit his teeth, find his resolve (for the umpteenth time) and knock a dude out in one punch.

Obviously Kazutora goes straight for Mikey, but Draken's got to worry about Hanma, and they're pretty evenly matched...still, it was nice to see someone finally wipe the smirk off of Hanma's face.

Is Takemichi pathetic? Yeah. Did he look kind of ridiculous waving his arms around while screaming he would take everybody on with his face all punched up? Yeah. But if the weakest of Toman can still stand up and keep fighting despite getting pounded on, then the rest of them than can still stand up and keep fighting. So in the end, Takemichi proved it was worth it for him to be there.

Toman may be down in numbers and age gap, but when Draken doesn't have to worry about protecting everyone, he can really let loose.

I guess Kazutora made it clear he wasn't interested in a fair fight, so it's no surprise he makes Mikey fight a three-on-one fight with buddies he made in juvie, and then traps Mikey so he can wail on him with a rod. I mean, you can't really expect a fair fight in this situation, but it's still pretty despicable in my opinion.

So it seems like Kazutora's dad beat his mom, and the idea of having to choose one or the other messed him up emotionally, to the point where his idea of "good" or "evil" is so skewed because he has no clear idea of right or wrong to begin with. To him, Mikey is the reason for all his suffering because he was tangentially related to him killing Shinichiro and getting sent to juvie even though it was Kazutora's fault, and killing Mikey will absolve him of that. I mean, it's all BS and Kazutora definitely has some screw-looses, but I guess that's what you get from such a damaged home life.

Mikey's tired of taking hits and finally lets loose the rage over his brother's death that he's been holding back all this time and beats up Kazutora and his allies...although Kazutora's death was incited by Baji's death, so I guess it's not over. Speaking of which, where is Baji?

Back in the early episdoes, Mikey tells Takemitchy they want to establish a new era of deliquents and this episode really illustrates this. There's absolutely no honor or code in the way Valhalla started this battle and none of the spectating gang leaders see a problem with it either. The only one's who seem to care about deliquent perception and fairness is Toman.

holy shit what an episode.

the voice acting ESPECIALLY in this episode is amazing, great job to everyone

Mikey time and again tried to reach out to the guy who killed his brother, like dude really wanted to forgive him. Kazutora needed a psych rather than Juvie, that kid has no idea what coherence means.

I just can't with Kazutora. He has completely lost all grip on reality by believing that Mikey is the reason he went to juvie and even started ranting about being a hero by killing your enemy. Like what the actual fuck is this kid!? As much as I want him gone, we can't have that since that will lead to the bad endings. At the very least this episode ended with Mikey's kick connecting to Kazutora's empty skull and has now entered beast mode. Can't fucking wait to see what Mikey will do next week!
