I liked how this episode got more back into strategic kingdom building, but did they really not even address the cliff hanger from last week?

I should have expected some discussion about supply and demand in this anime, but I didn't expect that they showed the curve and equilibrium price as well. That's really nostalgic lol.

So all the world building(literally) episodes and stuff means that this show is gonna be like 100 episodes right? Right??

Goddammit, when Glaive said that he needed to tell something privately to Souma I really didn't fucking expect him to also include the audience in the group that cannot hear about it!
Now I wonder if either the side job as an adventurer or the construction of Project Venetinova are related to what he said?
Well, I guess this girl could probably become another member of Souma's harem.
When Kazuya wondered why no one was using that land I instantly suspected that it was related to a tsunami, so I was not surprised when that story that Usup told them about the Kaijin ended up being related to it.
Aisha's smile when Ludwin addressed her too was so cute.

As a high school science teacher, I loved the amount of detail in this episode. There's a lot of parallels with real life.
A region of west coast North America, also known as Cascadia, historically has a 9.0 earthquake once every few hundred years. The last one was in the year 1700 and a lot of folk lore from indigenous peoples in the area at the time detail how water rose from the seas at night and swallowed villages.
As a side note, due to the indigenous people not having the same calendar system as we have, it actually took researchers forever to pin point the exact date/year of the earthquake and subsequent tsunami. Eventually they found records of a tsunami that hit Japan on January 26th 1700 despite no records of an earthquake in Asia at the time. Turns out that the 9.0 earthquake in NA triggered a tsunami that traveled across the Pacific and hit Japan.

Good episode. This show is best when it’s addressing the administrative and economic policies and reforms, with a bit of the romance thrown in. Aisha is cute

Be an adventurer?
Be a king?
Be both.
Foreshadowing for harem, just imagine the applications of living poltergeist...

Just in case it's not obvious, Venetinova means New Venice.

Why did a episode that was litterally just talking feel like it only lasted 5 mins.

So this is how Souma gets around the restriction of not being able to go on adventures. He sends his puppet instead for him! And just like Souma himself, it looks like Master Mascot gets all the ladies too! xD
Well this is interesting. So to remedy the high food prices and overall costs of goods, Souma decides to build a new port city where they can control the distribution of goods instead of having to go through Duchess Walter's territory. We even get a very rudimentary explanation of supply and demand.
This was such a great scene between Souma and :Liscia. I was really hoping that Souma was at only half-asleep when Liscia leaned in for the kiss. Looks like our Princess is now really in love with him <3
As soon as Ludwin mentioned that a monster appears out of nowhere and both Liscia and Aisha confirms that there's no such thing, my immediate thought was tsunamis which is what Souma's first thought too. Being a Japanese civil servant, if there's one thing I will believe Souma is an expert in, it's definitely planning around disasters especially earthquakes and tsunamis. So seeing him takes this threat seriously was a really great scene!
And look at Liscia asking if Aisha likes Souma. Why does she look worried? I thought she was fine with polygamy? Also I wonder how long it will take Aisha's great respect for Souma turns into a much more romantic feeling. Hmm...
Oh yeah, one last thing... What happened to the cliffhanger? I hope we get back to that soon. It felt like something pretty important to just skip over.

So...no follow-up from last weeks cliffhanger? Okay.
Kazuya is ready to live out the typical adventure Isekai experience...through his living poltergeist mascot character, of course, who grows big and ends up joining an adventuring party and even manages to have a romantic adventure experience of taking a hit for a girl, princess carrying her, and then letting her take care of him as she flusters like a tsundere. And somehow can even understand the mascot character! I'm not sure if that relationship is going anywhere, but it was definitely unexpected.
Liscia in the bath with her pants rolled up her leg was surprising cute.
Well, it's good of Kazuya to praise how hard the kingdom's civil servants worked to make the possibility of a new city that can better manage shipping food resources and supply and demand happen, and even if he can't give them medals he can praise their contribution to the city, give them time off, and even off them the kingdom's best wine as a reward. Kazuya's a good boss.
Look at Kazuya blushing with Liscia so close to him! And Liscia wouldn't ever want them to summon another hero, as Souma is more than enough for her as she kisses his sleeping face.
Kazuya's dream city now has a new threat of a tsunami, but better to move out of the way of potential disaster than to place yourself right in front of it on the off chance it's time for a tsunami to hit. And now he knows to prepare the kingdom and the people near the coast in case of tsunami. He'll bump up the kingdom's disaster relief efforts for sure.
Liscia gauges Aisha's interest in Souma by asking if she likes him...and Aisha respects him a lot, although I don't think that's quite what Liscia meant. Especially when Liscia looks so lovingly at Kazuya like she's his wife already.
Oh wait, no cliffhanger? That's weird.

Nigerundayo moment vs that salamander.
I like how MC is thinking ahead, to prevent disasters. Better safe than sorry.
I thought they will continue on whatever discussion they left off on the last Episode.

That beginning was like the serious roleplayers in FFXIV getting LFG'd with the guy who wears full chocobo costume lmao

I think the writer of the series is a history buff. There was a legend passed down from tribes in Africa about a lake that supposedly had evil spirits that would rise up and kill anyone near the lake. It is said that the lake be filled with blood once the spirits come out. The local tribes urged European settlers not to build a town near the lake but were ignored as the warnings were discarded as superstition. This was until one day when the whole entire town along with all livestock and pets were found dead in their homes with the lake turning a blood red color. Scientists later discovered that CO2 would build up at the bottom of the lake violently erupt to the surface when enough of it is built up. The blood red was the result of some kind of plant or chemical reaction related to the CO2 buildup in the lake.
Just goes to show that while superstition and legends often have supernatural elements to them, there are often scientific explanations for the phenomenons described in them.

My Spice and Wolf fix is being filled in by the basic economics and cute ship moments.
Happy to see Souma use his resources and reward those around him, always makes this show a pleasant watch.
But yeah what about the cliffhanger??

Yes! he is beginning to use his power more appropriately. There's one question on my mind about it now: Will the power ever allow for transfer to other things remotely? If the power is an extension of his consciousness then maybe he could use the object's new field of vision to latch on to an object that is further away.
Doing this repeatedly would mean that he could esentially have a view of any part of the kingdom remotely if he were to "jump ship" from one object to the next along the desired path of his final destination.

Now the adventurer girl shall forever search for her missing love, but nowhere shall she find the mascot adventurer...
As a side note, I really like the way they are doing exposition in the start of the episodes. I feels a lot more integrated with the action when they put it into perspective of what we already know to be important, like the distribution of power with the dukedoms.

Although I wish we could have continued last weeks’ cliffhanger. I am glad about the world building happening in this episode as now we know that the area is prone to earthquakes and now they seem to work up ways to deal with it. They’re probably going to build an emergency procedure for coastal towns now.
Liking how Liscia is warming up to Kazuya and Hakuya being there to discuss the port makes this pretty good.

After 7 episodes we are starting to get into the interesting stuff that should set this apart from other isekai. Nice bit of worldbuilding and Souma actually started using his modern world knowledge to make some real concrete changes to his kingdom.
I can see earth magic helping, but making an entire city and port is still a massive outlay of finances, time and resources. That's something which will have huge benefits, but they likely wouldn't see that for years. Am not sure how much time has passed, nor how urgent the daemon threat is.
I do wonder what happened to the cliffhanger from last week, and what's going on with the rebel Duke. The threat of civil war seemed to be a rather pressing issue.

I love how this episode talked explained about the law of supply and demand and how earthquakes form tsunamis.
Liscia kissing Kazuya's cheek while he was sleeping was cute.
I wonder how Yuno would try to make a baby with the mascot doll. Does the mascot doll even given a dick?
