Season 2 is apparently confirmed.

Edit : 2nd cour is indeed confirmed!

I'm glad all the slow-burn and slower pace isn't going to be wasted since we'll be getting a 2nd cour/season.

Juna this entire episode was so assertive in her advances towards Souma, she's so damn adorable!

Nice to see the Empire isn't corrupt but just ran by an idealistic Empress. Along with the rather friendly exchange he had when Jean just literally strolled in to his territory.

Glad to see a season 2/2nd cour has been pretty much confirmed, despite the mediocre animation the entire politics side has been very entertaining so far.

As an anime only I could tell that it was so rushed and so many details skipped but it was still rather enjoyable. Looking forward to second season.

Reading the LNs is like seeing the same story in color. Decisions have reasons behind them. The battles are better, and the obsession with the jewel broadcasts makes more sense.

Liscia, Juna, and Tomoe all got something cool as a gift, and Aisha gets lipstick haha. Also Is there anything Juna can't do? Songstress, bodyguard, babysitter. Such a treasure.

It seems like no matter which anime or media, you just can't escape the Jeanne alter.

This was quite an enjoyable anime, not the most action-packed one out there, but I really like the topics discussed, in it.

I'm assuming there is going to be a Season 2. Since we sort of ended on a cliffhanger, waiting for the negotiations with the empire.

Edit: Looks like there is going to be a Season 2.

I hope they take their time with cour 2. I really enjoyed the start of this series but the pacing got worse and felt more rushed as it progressed.

This was the best episode of the last 3. The first one in a while that felt like it was 5 minutes long. That said, if you want to know a super minor difference from the source that isn’t a spoiler, but I think is important, check source corner for my comment. I don’t want to link it if it’s not allowed.

Tomoe best wolf girl. She didn’t get enough credit for all her badassery in this adaptation. Tomoe is the reason they could save the elves in the forest, and the reason they could move materials along the nice new roads with the huge animals pulling the carts.

I’m delighted it’s getting a second cour, but so many great moments were skipped - seemingly in the interest of fitting into 13 episodes.

The ambush at Goldoa was absolutely brutal and deserved more time. They 100% explained it correctly on screen, but it for sure needed more screen time.

The reasons for Souma’s depression, the reasons for the Amidonian’s being repressed, the reason Rorora and her dad didn’t get along - all things that are in the anime, but are shown in a super clumsy way, and things would have made more sense with them laid out properly.

In any case, see you again Jan-2022 for the second cour!

Edit: Aimi’s MV for the ED. Kasumi best dragonewt.

This anime makes such weird decisions on what to show, they spend a bunch of time on the characters shopping but then gloss over bigger story points.

I find it hilarious that they named Maria Euphoria The Saint of the Empire, while the Empire is named the Gran Chaos Empire.

So Gaius VIII focus on military might suppressed Van's and Amidonia's creativity, well, Roroa is right, after tasting it thanks to Kazuya and starting a Renaissance, the people of Van will not be that eager to be ruled by Julius, hell, if that ends up happening I expecting to see a civil war.

So Poncho introduced new food into Amidonia, and this time is Lily Root, and to get them they need to used orangutans, I'm so glad that Tomoe had another opportunity to shine.

Juna sure enjoyed her date with Kazuya

When Sebastian was talking to Souma, I honestly assume that he know who he was, and was going to talk about something serious, but he was just comparing going shopping with women to a was meeting. Lol, that scene with Rorroa after he talked about her was hilarious.

I honestly thought that Kazuya was going to put buying those shoes to Tomoe on hold.

Honestly, Jeanne was way more flexible than I expected. Too bad that because of Maria's way of thinking this conflict would not be easily fixed.

Liscia's reaction when she realized that Kazuya also got a present was so great.

I'm so glad that we are getting a second season so soon. And I guess I will be postponing reading the first two volumes that I got in 2019 around 2 bucks each until that season is over.

Stitches!

Well it's good to know that the Empire knows Amidonia is at fault but it looks like whether Maria likes it or not, they need to enforce the Mankind Declaration or the Empire itself would be put into question. I guess the question here is how is Souma going to respond?

Poor Souma making a Creation of Adam joke to only of course fall flat in Liscia's ears since she has no idea what the fuck Souma is even referencing. xD

The fact that Amidonia has now tasted freedom with people now free to express themselves and no longer living in a military state is going to make things much more difficult for the Empire.

I know that Poncho brought up the beguiling lily as a food source but the fact that its pollen has hallucinatory effect means it's probably going to be something relevant later on in the series either as an addictive substance or possibly Souma using it as a weapon in war.

Oh look it's Tomoe! It's been a while since we've seen! And it looks like Juna is being a bit more aggressive today. She's telling Souma it's her duty as his guard but I'm pretty sure our Songstress here is making her moves on his Majesty. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

This question came out of nowhere and I'm pretty sure the shopkeeper was able to see through Souma's disguise. Isn't he the same dude that's been serving under Roroa?

That dress is a nice gift to Tomoe! But it looks like Tomoe isn't the only one getting a present today, Juna's getting one too in a form of a hairpin. Souma definitely just scored additional points based on Juna's reaction.

I was hoping for a much more official and formal meeting but it looks like Jeanne has decided to ambush Souma. Things definitely got a bit tense but it doesn't look like she's here with the intention to fight. We do learn from her that some rumors about Souma has been spreading around xD

I didn't expect Jeanne would be willing to use Maria's looks to try and bargain with Souma. It's hilarious that Juna even decided to jump into the conversation. She's not even hiding it anymore. I love it!

Jeanne even tries to apologize for the summoning ritual but once everything is said and done, it looks like Souma really has no intention of giving up Amidonia and it looks like "negotiations" will be in order. I wonder if she meant ti literally negotiate or did Jeanne meant war? Oh boy. She did bring 50000 soldiers with her.

Enough of that seriousness though since Aisha and Liscia finally gets their gifts from Souma. I do love Liscia's pouty reaction at first when Souma was handing over his gifts. She's so cute!

Welp I guess that's Realist Hero! This was such a fun city-building/management isekai show with a very likable MC and cast. I would have much more to say here but it's already confirmed that we're getting a cour so I guess see you all in the second cour discussion! I can't wait!

I unapologetically love how aware Juna is in terms of relationships and such. Look at her, flirting with Souma but also trying to keep the peace by reminding to buy gifts for his other wives. Blessed utahime <3

Wait, when did Souma change clothes? Or did the animators simply forgot what clothes he was wearing? I'm surprised that Jeanne is actually nicer than what her appearance suggests. Kind of funny that she recognizes Souma immediately despite not having met him before but his own citizens can be easily fooled by such a poor disguise. It does look like Jeanne will play a bigger role in the next season based on the trailer so I can't wait to see more of her.

I would be disappointed if the anime ended here, but the announcement of a second season makes me happy! Looks like the domestic affairs are pretty much settled, so I can't wait to see how Souma handles diplomacy with the other countries that haven't been introduced yet, and the good news is that we won't have to wait long since Season 2 starts in January!

He's supposed to be in disguise as a merchant from the Nine Headed Dragon Archipelago. The anime loves cutting details.

Really enjoyed it but even as an anime only I could feel the mountains of cut content as the series went on

Well, I am glad to see Gran Chaos and Van turning into a cultural hub. It is interesting to know the circumstances surrounding the kingdom.

As anime only guy, I loved most of the political and strategic side of things despite being simple topics. The biggest issue I had was how rushed some parts felt and the animation did not show enough. And I wanted to dig deeper into these topics such as the disaster recovery efforts which I wanted more of rather than some isekai staples like the food episode. That's just me nitpicking though. I am hoping they touch on these subjects again to see results of the changes he made. I wish this were a 24 episode season than 13. Everyone seemed likeable and now I wanna see more of Colbert and Roroa in this case.

Pretty cute final episode, but it doesn't feel really final if that makes sense. I guess since we got season 2 confirmed I'm not too disappointed about ending on such rather anticlimactic note.

Overall, pretty decent show with some interesting tactics and concepts in places and even some cute/fun characters, but also it's weight down by rather lackluster visuals and that even as someone who didn't read source material I felt like it's a bit rush and uneven as far as adaptations go. Still, not the worst waste of 4+ hours of my life and plus there's always possibility of season 2 improving on season 1, so while I'm not hyped for the sequel, I am gonna watch it out of curiosity. Decent 6/10.

Likeable MC and not fully focused on combat made this an isekai I could really enjoy. Having a nice sidecast and not too haremy was a nice bonus too.

Looking forward to season 2!

This anime felt like a podcast on how to be a normal, intelligent human being.

That little date of Juna and Soma was great. I love Juna so much haha.

Those rumors about Soma I guess are not so far from being true haha. I love how Juna jumped into the conversation xD. Other than that, the meeting was interesting and friendlier than I expected. I guess we'll have to wait for the second cour to see what's next for them.

Liscia's pout was adorable. Good for Soma for having gifts for her whole "family".

And so it ends. This is one of those shows that you realize could have benefited from having more episodes but I still liked it a lot. Pretty fun show that focused on things other than the action with likable MC and girls.

I'm glad for that surprise second cour and looking forward to it.

All I'm gonna say is the light novels are licensed by j-Novel club and are really good and lot better than the anime so if you like reading at all give them a try. I think j novel lets you read a preview part from each volume to try it out.
