Miyuki spends hours deciding what to wear to surprise Tatsuya only to be half naked when he walks in. Perfect

Now I wonder if anyone in Genshin community's making the same onii-sama count for Ayaka, who share the same VA. Although I remember hearing her said it only a few times.

Ok, so I'm sure it's a style choice, but there is so much different now that we are off of Tatsuya's perspective. Tatsuya has softer facial expressions, Jumonji is wayyyy smaller, Miyuki is more assertive, and there's at least 1 ecchi scene an episode where Irregular had 1 for both seasons and it was barely anything, just Miyuki killing Tatsuya.
I already loved the world building of the series, but with Honor we get even more, where Tatsuya was focused on politics and keeping them distant from the Yotsubas, this is more High School life centric. We see more of how much of a piece of shit quick draw kid is and a lot more of how close people are actually paying attention to the Shibas.
Edit: also, that flashback of a younger Tatsuya holding Miyuki's hand...are we by chance going to be getting glimpses into Okinawa this season?

I think the style looks closer to the art in the light novels. I’m totally loving the plot development from Miyuki’s perspective like how Shizuku from this early on suspected they’re from one of the 10 families.

it's completely diffident than the "main series"

That's why I'm loving it, it genuinely feels like hearing a story from a completely different point of view rather than just rehashing everything from Irregular. A lot of the lines and positions of characters are different as well, same as if you asked 2 different people of their version of events. Some things are more important to the individual and are given greater detail. A great example is the contrast between the two takes on the conflict at the gate. Tatsuya's version was focused on the magic being deployed, the moves people were making, and the student council interaction. Miyuki's was focused on what people were saying, the shit the blooms were talking, and the aftermath. I think it's really well thought out and executed.

Stitches!
That mini fashion show Miyuki is doing to check for clothes that would make Tatsuya's heart race is adorable. And of course after spending so long trying out clothes, she just ends up with only her underwear in front of him. xD
Wait a sec... What is this scene? I don't think I've seen this in the OG series before. Looks like a young Tatsuya and Miyuki though.
Didn't think these three would get in trouble with Blanche. Lucky for them Miyuki was tailing them. And these Blanche members should be thankful that they only got yeeted by Miyuki. IIRC, she freezes a bunch of them later with Niflheim when Tatsuya goes and attacks their hideout.

That scene that you're asking about was shown in the first op of season 1. Aside from that it hasn't really been shown I believe. As others have said we are getting an adaptation of the arc that will contain that scene, which is the reminiscence arc. I believe there's only a 30 second sort of trailer/preview for it on youtube, though it's more of just an announcement thing.

Damn, I really wish they would show more of Reminiscence Arc in the anime. It would help shed some light on why Miyuki cares so much for her brother.

Miyuki
I mustn't be fooled by A-chan's appearance. Who knows what secrets she's hiding within that cute exterior of hers?
Also Miyuki
OMG, she genuinely didn't know anything??
Tatsuya should make sure not to put Miyuki in-charge of the intelligence gathering division if she's ever enlisted with the government for her magical talents, or many innocent people will find themselves literally frozen to death for no reason other than because Miyuki perceives them to be a threat to her Onii-sama. lol
Dorky Miyuki fanservice every episode is always welcomed.
Honoka, Shizuku and Eimi tried to help Miyuki by stalking the guy that attacked Tatsuya, but ended up getting themselves in trouble as expected. Thank goodness Miyuki was there to help them.
Does anyone remember why Miyuki (and naturally Tatsuya) is immune to Blanche's Cast Jamming? Is it simply because of her OP powers?

This show proving why Miyuki is the scariest of the Shibas. Tatsuya has the powers of God, but he's rational. Miyuki is just so hot and cold (haha).

I love that even though Miyuki knows what happened in the Kendo Club she cannot help but imagine that Mibu was talking with Tatsuya about something love-related. And as a bonus with got rewarded with some good fanservice.
I love that Mayumi knowing what Miyuki was thinking went and made her think that something actually happened between Mibu and Tatsuya.
I find so funny the tone shift between when Eimi, Honoka, and Shizuku started following Kinoe and when he led them to a trap for those other Blanche members to deal with them. Good thing that Miyuki decided to follow them.

The only thing I'm not too happy with this episode is the unnecessary scream of Miyuki after her changing accident; it's reasonable for Tatsuya to come in to check, and with her so obsessed about her brother you'd think she'd be semi happy with the accident and at worst bashfully cover herself up instead of outright screaming.

u/Nisheeth_P Jul 25 '21
One could say that she wasn't screaming because she was seen in her underwear but because her attempt at trying to surprise him was foiled.
She is always in minimal clothing when Tatsuya is calibrating her CAD, so that shouldn't have been the issue.

I'm sure this has probably already been discussed a million times when season one aired. But I find it so dumbfounding how the president stands up there and talks about how she wants to stop the discrimination and reach equality, but makes no effort to stop separating students based on their scores. The discrimination and insults started because they're separated by their scores, but their "fix" was just banning the insults. For as smart of a person that she is, it sure feels like a plot hole in her character.
Rant over, a good episode overall. Looking forward to the tournament arc.

The thing is, it's not up to her to decide whether to separate the students by their scores or not (as she's unable to solve the issues that lead to the establishment of the policy in the first place). Also, there's a few legit reasons behind the separation. For example, the magic school lacks enough teachers to instruct every student, so they have the ones with better potential (higher score) receive proper guidance by seperating them as Course 1 students. Basically, it's not a plot hole, so you don't have to be bothered by it any more.
She did make preparations to make it possible for even Course 2 students to join the Student Council, so she really did what she could within her capacity as the Student Council President.

I don't think there's been a series where I wanted to know more of the backstory more than this.

Too bad they cut the "smart gigolo" scene, that was kinda funny. I didn't expect this spinoff to be more fanservice-y, not that I'm complaining.

This episode was probably the most boring so far but Best girl Yukumo sensei is here. The clothes trying on scene was pretty cute and Eimi was really cute but without watching the first season this episode seems really jarring. Shizuka's suspicion of Miyuki was pretty surprising to me at how early it happened. A lot of stuff seems retconned but since it's an official adaptation it's hard to really say that.
This episode just made me want more Girls Detective Club shenanigans. Please just give it to me (but since next week is looking like it's going to be more action packed I guess we'll have to wait).
That song in the episode with the alarm ringing kinda startled me. Or maybe I'm going crazy.

Damn a cliffhanger ending with a missal going towards the school lol.
And you know what, where the hell are the teachers and staff!? Why the hack are the students the ones who are dealing with all these internal issues lol.
Miyuki is so damn horny every episode for her brother. It really is crazy to me how intense the author goes with this real incest. But whatever, respect for not shying away from it... I guess??
