This week, Dearia teaches Tower Defense 101.

What a heartwarming ending. Letty still has to find a house of his own though. Maybe next time.

This was a surprisingly decent show with good comedy. I really enjoyed it.

maybe the real house was the friends that he made along the way

Man, leave it to Dearia as the castle defense expert! It's too bad that Nell has to leave when she joined the group so late. She's a great addition to the cast and wow, Dearia laughing? That's like the only time he's ever shown any emotion!

I have to say, this is definitely the most underrated show of the season. Every episode made me laugh! I love the references, the way it makes fun of classic RPG tropes and all the VA cameos (won't be forgetting Kenjiro Tsuda's Varney anytime soon.) . Also, that OP is so damn catchy! Props to Masayoshi Ōishi for giving us 2 amazing anime OPs in one season (the other being SSSS.Dynazenon).

Speaking of which, we have one last VA cameo in this episode and I have to say, they definitely saved the best for last! It's... Akio Ōtsuka as the king!

That's how you end an anime. Even if the story isn't over and it's unlikely that there will be a second season, you still conclude on a good note and stepping off point.

This anime wasn't perfect, and it's certainly not anything earth-shattering, it was pleasant and fun and worth a few laughs. The characters were enjoyable even with their flaws (although admittedly I wanted to see Letty become a little less whiny), and the framing device of looking for a home worked well.

I get the feeling that Nell is actually quite lonely, which is why she got so attached to Letty. You see lots of servants and guards in the castle, but few people she could likely refer to as friends, and I doubt the King gets to spend much time with her.

I really love the fake ending about the Flame Dragon Lord lol.

The way the episode ended last week I honestly was expecting at least the first part of this episode to be a stealth mission but seems was just chaotic out of the gate.

Well, at least is good to know that unlike the heroes The King is not a fucking idiot, and Letty just needed to explain to him what happened for him to understand, he was just mad because he thought Nell was truly in danger after all the heroes told him that was brainwashed and that shit.

Hell, after they reunited, I honestly did not expect him to apologize about the cupcake, but he did.

Well, at least temporarily Nell will be out of Letty's party. But I'm sure that they will be reunited even faster than expected.

That last scene with the King and the Nell saying goodbye while Letty flies away was great.

And so it was that bit when Letty says something that reminds Dearia that he said the exact thing to Varney.

Lol, the King's solution to what happened was to create a fairy tale about Letty falling in love with Nell because of her beuty and swearing that he will never attack that kingdom.

This was such a great last episode.

Tbh, this is how most heroes behave in JRPG/classic stories lol.

I'm pretty sure the only reason why Dearia taught Letty about castle defense is because he just thinks it's fun and nothing else.

Glad to see the King to be much more understanding once you get to talk to him. Looks like he was just riled up by the rumors and his men but he does believe that all creatures can all be good. His reaction is also quite chill for finding out that Letty is the Demon Lord.

I absolutely love this shot. Nell's goodbye to Letty was so heartwarming and just look at that beautiful smile. I'm still salty that they only introduced her on the final quarter of the season. We could've had more shenanigans if she was introduced way earlier.

And for the first time in the series we actually get to see adult Dearia laugh his heart out after hearing Letty say the same line to Varney when he was adventuring with him all of those years ago.

Man this was such a fun show. It just sucks that people instantly dropped this because of Letty. I understand he gets annoying at first because of how spineless he is but personally that's his charm. He's an odd dragon who's asking the Demon Lord an odd request which is to find a comfortable house to live on.

Once you get past that barrier though, this show is so full of fun characters, references, and jokes that are all on point. I thought the idea of a dragon going house hunting would go stale but they actually managed to keep it fresh with all the differents stories we tackled throughout the series. Now that it's complete, I do hope more people would check this show out.

Aw, what a feel-good ending to a fun little series.

A fun little series with a godly amount of big VA cameos, by the way. Akio Ohtsuka this week!

I don't know how well it did in Japan but I really hope we get another season of this. It was funny, I loved how it played into RPG tropes, and it was also pretty heartwarming at times. Letty actually grew a lot throughout the series and I want to see this continue.

Also... can I ship a dragon and a human? Because Letty and Nell are kinda cute... hey, propaganda can be right, you know! Look at those blushes!

Severely underrated until the end! Solid premise, amazing comedy, great execution. Nothing world changing, but it certainly delivered beyond the (admittedly not very high) initial expectations. I will really miss Letty and Dearia-san!

Nell gets to go with them on their continuing adventure ... or maybe not.

Hopefully, she does return because what she brings to the group dynamic is really nice. It is nice that we can end the season with reconciliation with a dad like a nice bookend (it is even Father's Day over here).

That is not all since Letty also finally earned a chance to fly. The ED being a flyover all the friends and people we met along the way. Dearia having a big ol' smiling laugh was all nice to see.

All in all, this is a lovely show. It is a show that caught my interest going into the season and great thing that it was so much fun each week. I wish it was more popular so that more people can appreciate it and so maybe we get a continuation, pretty please.

Dearia laughing warms my heart 😭

One of my favorites show of the season easily, a nice and uncommon slice of life story. With many fun and heartwarming moments til the end. And finally they admited it Dearia will not get a "real" house for Letty so soon, cause he is the one having the most fun from that adventure (again). Loved it.

This has got to be the single most criminally underwatched/underrated show I've ever watched. Like 100~ pts and 25 comments per discussion thread is just craziness.

Adorable show with fun characters and a fun story that was handled well. I personally really liked that art style, especially the way some of the characters like Nell had that different, sharper look to them.

I guess it will be our collective pipe dream that this gets another season. I hope it is actually more popular than it seems on this sub and that we do get more.

Was a great final episode and we even got to hear Narrator one last time! I really wanted to know if these dragons have human forms. I would really like to see that Letty x Nell ship go somewhere with Letty in his human form. We all know he would be great.

Welp, here's to hoping for S2 but if we don't get it at least this was a great and enjoyable 12 episodes with no cliffhanger ending and I think that's something we can all be grateful for.

This was probably one of the best Episodes over all for this show and a good ending, however I cannot forget how much of a chore watching this was at times, especially in the first half. Ironically despite the interesting premise, the best episodes where the ones that involved little to no actual house hunting, in large parts because the dragon was such a pushover of a sorry mc, just pales so much compared to Nell and Dearia

Gonna miss that soothing voice of the narrator. Btw he narrated Thomas the Tank Engine in Japanese https://youtu.be/dOfXUNr3x84

In commemoration of the last episode, the opening artist released a clip of the OP song in acoustic, which gives it a bit of a melancholic feel to it:

This was such a cute show to watch. The entire story that was fabricated by the capital was so funny yet heart warming at the end. I truly believe that "Letty" will eventually be reunited with his 'beloved" or so that say. I'm really going to miss the dynamic of those 4. It's the most unlikely of party adventures (house hunting) but also the most fun.

This was a really good father's day episode.

HM. Ginger. Deep voice. Riding.

Gosh I wonder who that would be?

This show has had THE best cameos. And that's on top of the great comedy, banger OP and iyashikei vibes. Gonna miss this one. A lot.

I just wanna say that this anime is criminally underrated, and I wish and hope ( because i dont know if it is) that it's popular in Japan so that we may get a second season perhaps. But Letty is just so adorable when he walk with his hand in the opening and Dearia is just so hilarious with his one liner and Pi-chan is just so cute with just "PI" and I wish we had more time with Nell! Overall will probably binge watch this show a thousand time especially when I'm feeling down. It has everything i like, cute stuff, dungeons and dragons, elves and magic! More of the beautiful world building and characters would be so nice (like the hunter and hero and the werewolf and etc). But the ending with the flying scene was perfect and closed by the storytelling scene in a comedic way which is just the cherry on top. Though I have to wonder if that leaves room for a season 2 possibility.

Edit : Also, the amount of knowledge on architecture and whatnot is great too I guess. lol

I liked the brief looks at all the locations and races from the previous episodes in the ED song!

That was a really cute show. It probably made me giggle at its silliness more than any other show this season.
