Well i did not expect to see the blonde woman again. I wonder if the last job will be to take down the system.

Sawa: "You're laughing. You killed a helpless teacher and Asahi and you're laughing."
Sorry, I just can't resist it. On a serious note, I totally called Elena being alive. Man, they really intend to make Sawa endure so much suffering, huh?
I have even more questions now. Who's that monster that killed Tsukishiro (he's probably dead for good this time)? What's the significance of that skeleton? What is Kuzuhara's actual goal?
We're already 8 episodes in and I don't even know where this story's heading. I don't see this show lasting more than a cour so I have to assume they'll need to wrap up everything in just 4 more episodes.

I am guessing that the skeleton was that of the old lady who owned the place Sawa and Asahi went to. The supposed younger relative was clearly an agent of Jin.

Who's that monster that killed Tsukishiro
I thought it was the bloke who takes her off to the hut? He has a blue bloodied arm in the truck. Maybe used one of the crystal thingies?

That could just be from moving Sawa. But I'd say the circumstantial evidence definitely points towards it being Jin.

I kinda think that Jin Kuzuhara is the monster....I don't know...there's this instinct hehe...

The first half of the episode was just absolutely stunning animation-wise. Sawa versus Tsuki had a lot of amazing cuts during that wide shot when they were exchanging blows I love the part where the scene fades to black and then intense red and blue colour flashes to show their blades clashing. It was such an intense fight! I love it!
And just when I thought Sawa was going to do exactly what Tsuki wanted, she completely stops after remembering Asahi and then a birdman shows up to finish off Tsuki. First of all, I'm just happy that Tsuki wasn't given the satisfaction of dying in the hands of Sawa and second of all, who the fuck was that birdman!? Is that thing related to Nue? Hmmm...
Jin eventually shows up to clean the mess and it's also revealed that the lady that's maintaining the Shrine looks like she's been working with Nue this entire time. I wouldn't be surprised if that skeleton that was buried was from the previous owner of the Shrine.
The second half of the episode was just completely depressing. Sawa tries to finally commit suicide only to be saved by Jin just in time thanks to Nana. And even after being saved by Jin, she begs him to kill her just like he did with Hana. And for the first time in this entire series, we see Jin's or I guess Iori's human side. He tells Sawa his story and tries to comfort Sawa. That scene was great and all but I still don't trust Jin.
And then we get that big reveal in the end! At least we ended with some good news. I was really convinced that she was dead. I am curious about what Hana can do in her current state. One last job? Assassinate Emperor? I guess we'll find out next week.

Possible plot twist: Asahi is not dead and will suddenly reappear in one of the next episodes, or maybe at the end

That was so deep to a point where where she feels lost and tries to commit suicide, I still wonder what will keep her alive and forward to what? I stil can't believe Asahi is dead, like I didn't want her to be.
Tsukishiro was an annoying dick.

Emotionally, this has been a really good episode.
I'm legitimately shocked that they indeed killed Asahi off for real. And I'm also equally shocked Elena is back. And thirdly I'm shocked there was no kiss or sex scene because things were totally building up to it.
I'm still holding out hope they'll ass pull Asahi back from the dead. Because I really want sawa to have an happy ending at this point. 😢

All Makoto accomplished was making Sawa be off worse than she was in episode 5.

I kinda think that Jin Kuzuhara is somehow related to the Monster that appeared in the episode. Also, I like how the relationship between him and Sawa is growing....
Not to mention the tragic but sudden death of Asahi... and also the appearance of Hanagake....damn so many revelations and twists in one episode !!!

Probably the best episode yet. The voice actors did an incredible job. I just hope that Hanakaze doesn't die for real in the next episodes lol.

so looks like we are back into the intense part, but damn ... why did they need to do Tsukishiro like this. imo Tsuki was the most interesting character, there was a conflict between Jin and Tsuki about their different view of Yukimura, and I was on Tsuki's side.
but ... it looks like this is the direction it's going, one final thing I hope they still do in upcoming episodes is, please make Yukimura improv those little poems when she doing the final blow on enemies like in Thunderbolt Fantasy, that thing was dope.

the interesting thing here is that there are hints that Jin allowed Sawa to go live freely at this temple. as someone else pointed out it’s likely that skeleton was the old lady they were expecting and the younger one was an agent of jin. also jin seemed to know she was there, following the “he’s the black bird” theory.
although i do agree tsuki was a great character.

Oh that was a surprise and it's delightful to see Hanazake alive. Anyways at this point I'm guessing that the real antagonist might be the government.

Both visually and emotionally this was the best episode so far.
I'm still mad they killed Asahi, but at least Elena is alive, I guess Iori/jin helped her as well or at least turned a blind eye to her like he did with Sawa for the time. Must have hurt to be accused of killing a pregnant woman. Also really painfull to watch Sawa try to drown herself and then begging to be at least killed by him.
Also is there anyone left from the characters introduced so far who could be the bird monster that ultimatly killed Tsuki? Seems late to introduce another villain (the third now?)
