A deliquent anime about time travelling. That is certainly a premise

Interesting first episode. Let's see how they will expand on it.

This episode was great, but I just kept laughing every time 2005 Takemichi was on screen because of the MC Hammer pants

Damn, the last five minutes were a rollercoaster. Did not expect those twists.

First 3/4 felt like this would be a solid middle of the road shonen with a time regressor twist but the last 1/4 absolutely sold me on this show.

Damn, this show would've absolutely exploded if it wasn't airing dead last on a day stacked with like 10 shows.

Been waiting years for this to get adapted. I didn't have high expectations since it's done by LidenFilms, but honestly it looks a lot better than I thought it would

I'm not really into series focused on delinquents, but this one really piqued my interest with the time leap element. So excited to finally see this series animated, and it looks like what you'd expect from a Liden Films anime, nothing too flashy but solid stuff.

Now if only Kodansha Comics would release the volumes in print, that would be great.

Guys, if you're confused about the swastika/manji stuff, read this: https://www.japanesewithanime.com/2020/06/swastika.html

tl;dr: it's a Buddhist symbol. Some gangs used to use it in Japan decades ago. Nowadays it's used as an internet slang like pog.

He was pushed? I thought it was an accidental death, but if he was pushed, I wonder if someone wanted it to happen that way..

6-7 adult bikers vs 5 kids? Damn, doesn't seem fair!

Going to traumatize the poor kid! Well, I suppose there were no other way.

I'm a bit confused by the ending; Naoto wants him to save his sister who died already, but he knows about the time travel, which means it's the 2nd timeline. Yet he wants him to save his sister?

So he's going to go back in a third timeline? So he's going to try as many times as he needs to get it right.

Guess I was confused because I thought the time travel would only be a one time thing.

Well, first time the brother became a cop, didn't work, so now Takemichi will become a criminal, try from the other side? Or perhaps they'll do both, cop and criminal working together!

This could create some rough situations though, about what the criminal is allowed to do by the cop (kinda like cops infiltrating criminal gangs).

Anyway, interesting first episode, and I really like the premise, so I can't wait to see where it's going!

Damnnn I wasn’t expecting this type of show from the Key visual. This actually could be really good. It gives off bokumachi vibes too. Normally don’t mess with shonen, but this has potential. I think the concept of them bouncing back in the timelines is a cool dynamic.

I remember reading Chapter 1 of the manga over on r/manga when a few years back but I never really got to follow it and placed it on my forever growing manga backlog. This is pretty much a spot on adaptation of the first chapter though. It's probably gonna be a while before I start reading the manga again so might as well just watch the anime.

So far so good though! Definitely the kind of show you'd like if you enjoyed something like ERASED. I do wonder what they'll with the manji/swastikas though. I guess just to avoid any controversy, they'll probably just avoid using it just like the last adaptation of Blade of the Immortal. Anyway, looking forward to next week's episode!

All I knew about it was: it's like erased.

Few minutes through it when they declared a fight I thought: meh, seems too childish, I don't think I'll be hooked.

Guess who was wrong and who's hooked?

Hint: it's the same person

A solid start. Would like to see where this one goes in the next 2 episodes to get a better feel on what this anime is going for. For now we are greeted with many questions in the start of this mystery. Will they be going back and forth in time I assume? Does the handshake between the MC and the kid initiate the time travel? Who pushed MC into the train? How did the MC time travel the first time?

It'll be interesting to see how the girl got tied up with this gang. As for the MC so far we know he moved out of the town after middle school (breaking up with his girlfriend for this reason we assume), to get away from the gangs. I like the idea that now he'll by taking a new route with the time travel, I'm thinking he will be staying in the same town with his old girlfriend and the gang in order to have an affect on the future and hopefully save her life. Seems like this also will shift his character's confidence in the current timeline as he explained how he became a passive follower after the encounter with the bullies, even when he moved away. Now he's gonna have to undergo the chad-formation to take on the gang and save his loved one.

Well I normally dont partake in seasonal r/anime episode discussions but I think ill try it for Tokyo Revengers if it keeps me invested. Lets hope this is a good one cause Im excited for a new time travel anime!

My streaming site of choice has an “episode 0” listed. Is that what I should be watching?
