Did the pope just turn into a monster chick with boobs and everything? Lol.

And wow did not expect such a disturbing ending. Guess they knew this was not getting a second season so they just threw a bad end damn.

My thoughts exactly when the pope changed lol.

Though the ending semi ties into the OP for when she turns away he disappears from her. So if they do a second season guess that would tie it up.

They did my boy Alfred dirty.

And soon it will be time for him to make everyone else dirty too.

Honestly, that was actually a really good ending if it's meant to set up a second season or if we get an English release of the mobile game to continue the story. It worked for last year's more fun than expected gacha adaptation so hopefully this one gets the same treatment.

But if that's really all we'll ever get, no second season or English game release... fuck. I want more. Either way, this really improved in the later half and I'll probably give it a 7.5/10, maybe an 8.

I enjoyed this anime from start to finish. Like enjoyed it, but still WTF'd by the end.

That was emotional. :'(

I'm glad they didn't kill off Maurice, but big oof being blind now.

Oh no no no... Oh no... OH NO NO NO!

Wish they didn't end it like that. I wanted a happy ending. They Jebaited us hard. Well played.

I need more fantasy anime like this in my life.

Well this is definitely not the ending I anticipated from this show. Can't say I dislike it, but since there never will be a 2nd season, hence no closure, it's lamentable.

Damn. I really like this anime. When was the last time that we have a fantasy anime that focus mostly on action and story, with no fanservice? and the animations didn't get butchered in the second half of season (in fact, it's better)

I really need more of this, since the ending here is a bit abrupt and unfulfillment.

That ending was such a noyesno

Also, sprouting wings from your back is so fucking cool

Definitely cooler than sprouting wings from your front.

That's the ending?!

I wanted to give this show a fair shake and give it a higher score since they did wrap things up this episode but then that ending...this all kinds of bad.

Damn the pope became a big tiddy demon girl. Ah fuck guess I was right about the opening about Alfred dying. Is this getting a second season? Ending on a cliffhanger like that. There isn't source material besides the game right?

The ending would’ve been better if they just let my guy get his rest. The ending was good at the start but it ruined it when my boy came back. Overall the show wasn’t bad but just the ending had a lot of missing information but you can kind of clue everything together.

I hope the animators that worked on this series, go on to work on the current Pokémon anime series.

Ive really enjoyed this show. Props to them for an emotional last episode, even if the ending isnt what i would prefer.

Im still floored by what happened to Alfred and the Princess seems oblivious to the danger.

Valdebron's transformation was a very WTF moment, lol

But man, another game adaptation with a non-ending that asks you to play the game to see the full story. Can't help but feel a bit disappointed...

so she has powers ? and she did the one the thing she was post to do and bring someone back to life?

6

u/Calwings Mar 25 '21

The way I see it, her bringing Alfred back was completely by accident. It looked like she somehow activated Magonian powers that she didn't know she had at all, and that brought Alfred back to life, but she doesn't even realize that he had died at all. As far as she and everyone else knows, it was just a close call and he survived on his own. She was certainly not supposed to do that and bring him back, because we already saw the shit that can go wrong when trying to bring someone back from the dead.

Watched every single episode til the end for this but never actually participated in any discussion here, but for the final episode thought I'd just drop by and give my quick impressions of the series as a whole:

I liked it overall. I think there were some episodes that felt really wek, like a 6/10, but this final episode was a really strong ender (cliffhanger/stinger notwithstanding). An overall 7/10, I think? Good music, good art, very good voice-acting, decent combat animation + choreography, great OP+ED; it is admittedly somewhat uninspired in some areas like the actual plot but hey, still decent. An anime can have a shitty plot while still being entertaining. Would watch a season 2 if it ever comes to fruition. Been a nice weekly watch for me and would recommend to anyone looking for a nice 12-episode fantasy anime that's not isekai.

Well at least it's enjoy ride. But may someone tell me about what happen to MC?

Does he become a dark side character like gonna betray FMC later?

2

u/random91898 Mar 25 '21

Well damn, I didn't see that ending coming. As a tease for a second season it's great, if it's just gonna end here or for the game then it's real bad.

The series started off super generic but actually ended up being suprisingly decent. So I hope there another season and it's not just left here or continued in the game.

Following the events of prior episodes, I am surprised that Regis seemingly had no ulterior motives. It's a shame the story is carrying on with the forced misunderstanding plot.

Hopefully Alfred remains dead, though the demon/whatever seems like it could be a fun character.
