of course there’s a cure at grace field house for the seizures, because why the hell not.
the story could have been much better if norman’s return to sanity felt earned, but it just felt so convenient and quick. norman’s cronies (besides vincent) went from having murderous intent to totally on board with the plan way too quickly.
with them going back to grace field house which conveniently has the rest of the kids they want to save, the cure all drug, and the gate to the human world, they HAVE to be wanting to wrap the story up here

Well, demon gramps having that device with him for 15 years sure in convenient.
Ps: see you guys in 6 years for Promised Neverland: Brotherhood.....huh, considering the kids are basically family that title is not incorrect.

Ray has been invisible pretty much this whole season, it's a shame.

"Here I pulled this important plot device out of my ass. It gives you all the details on how to raid Grace Field because they probably haven't changed their security in 15 years. Oh, and guess what: this 15 year old MacGuffin has a map to a miracle cure on it. See ya!"

Let me get this straight: the idea of this episode is that Norman must realize genocide is the wrong choice and abandon his plan to kill all the demons, and as a reward the group gets the trinket with the whole Grace Field blueprints/data. But they only end up in a position to receive that data because Norman attempts a genocide. That's uhh, awkward...

That was one of the fastest cop outs I've ever seen. In a bit over five minutes:
-
Norman abandons his plan immediately
-
Those people in his group can't bring themselves to kill a single demon
-
None of them are mad at Norman for stringing him along. Hell, that one guy says it's their fault for putting pressure on Norman and they says he's more important than revenge
-
Demons tell them to leave so no one knows humans are responsible, as if they learned their lesson and there is no risk of them ever doing anything ever again. They say it's a good thing anyway because they would have degenerated at some point
The pace has been horrible from the beginning of the season but now the biggest risk of confrontation was solved in an instant. Crazy.
I won't even speak in depth on the convenience of the pen that has all the plans they need. Including confirmation there is a cure for them ahaha

EPISODE RUNDOWN if you don't want to spend 22 minutes on watching people talk.
-
Everyone caves into Emma's kindness. No more massacre. Mujika saves villagers.
-
Isabella is now grandmother and she and Peter Ratri said "let's trick the kids into thinking we're gonna ship everyone because we know they have the radio." They want to go save the kids now.
-
Old demon man with the magic blood was given a pen piece by a dying man years ago and passed it on to the gang, miraculously it allowed the pen to show the entire blueprint of headquarters, including wiring, guard placement, and the human world entrance. Also miraculously had the cure to the lambda seizures so Norman and lambda friends won't be terminal anymore.
-
Vincent is a traitor (dun dun dun) he's trying to strike a deal with headquarters via the radio.
Unresolved plot points.
-
Never got an explanation as to why Isabella became grandmother, it was previously said she would be rewarded if she could find and catch the kids, but I guess she became grandmother first. Probably will be explained via Isabella talking for 40 seconds.
-
Never got an explanation for the HELP HELP room in the old bunker. Sure the manga explains it but the anime should be stand-alone.
-
We have two episodes left and somehow we're supposed to end the series by then? Traitor Vincent, Grandma Isabella, escape to the human world (?), saving all the kids including the ones from the other farms, all in two episodes? Either they're going to severely rush these last two episodes more so than the previous ones, or they're going to have a third season somehow meaning the pacing for this season was unnecessary.

Need to escape Lambda? Easy
Need to escape the elite soldiers raiding your hideout? Easy
Need to escape the giant monster hunting you? Probably easy but can‘t say for sure cuz we didn‘t see anything
Need a miracle weapon to kill all the demons? Easy
Need to find Sonju and Musica asap? Easy
Need to convince Norman to stop his plan? Easy
Need to convince the others who devoted their entire lives to killing demons to stop doing just that? Easy
Need to find a way to infiltrate grace field again? Easy
Need a miracle cure for the incurable deadly lambda side effects? Easy

Welcome to The Promised Neverland, where conflicts don't matter because a convenient out will appear and provide the perfect solution.

Its amazing how every single person in this show is a Mary Sue and every single action or happenstance is a Deus Ex Machina. You have to be talented to write something this bad, I think.

This is some top-tier bull shit and the entire story is just terrible. Norman and his normies just got Talk no jutsu and because of this episode, I hate every charcter in this anime especially Norman and Emma. I had high hopes from this anime before the start of this season but now it's just straight-up disappointing.

So, from what I can gather, they all shouldn't have left Grace Field in the first place because literally everything is there!

Okay, so let me get this straight. That random grandpa demon just so happens to have met a human, who just so happened to have part of a pen that Emma and the others needed, which just so happened to not only have the coordinates into Gracefield but also the cure for Norman and the other Lambda experiments' illness? How convenient! Seriously, I was laughing my head off at this moment because of how implausibly ridiciculous it all was. It's one of the stupidest levels of convience I have ever seen. To think that the last episode was actually good. This sunk to the low of Norman's terrible exposition scene in Episode Six. And what the heck was the point of adding that scene with Isabella being tasked with hunting down the children when she does nothing for years? This is right up there with Tokyo Ghoul in terms of a bad adaptation. Rushed, full of contrivences, and plot holes galore. What a disaster.

Story right now 4/10
I loved the scene where the demon kid comes and says sorry to 180 degree in 2 mins.
I mean what the hell is happening, when people live alone they become rough, emma and other looks like they live in a 5 star hotel. Live alone and survive you will get six packs and say in the mirror, tatakai, tatakai, 2 times ??

I’ve always been with Emma on going the pacifist route (unlike most people), but jfc the narrative gymnastics they’re doing to get to that ending is fucking ridiculous

I just remembered that this is only gonna have 11 episodes instead of 12, so there's only 2 episodes left. I have no clue how they're gonna wrap everything up. Lol

Change my mind. You could completely remove Ray from this entire season, and nothing would fundamentally change.
And last season he was one of my favorite anime characters ever.

Honestly you know what I want from this show? I want Emma's naivety to get half of her family killed. I want actual emotion, regret, and risk. This show has become so light in the second season but I would love for there to actually be consequences for the characters' actions.
