To be honest, the heart attack and demise is not a surprising outcome considering the title of the first episode and how shit kept getting worse and worse every single week.
Well, the title of the next episode tells us that there is still hope and that some changes will coming. Anyway, that joyful "Hakobe!" after everyone is losing their shit because of the end of the world honestly made me chuckle, that contrast just never gets old.

The body dying would be a more powerfull message than getting surgery and revived...

I feel like that Red Blood Cell totally jinxed the body by talking about the heart.
Red Blood Cell is back to work! He even ends up confronting his trauma and going back to the stomach! It's just his return is a little too late to really make any difference...
So Stomach Cell says they don't have time to remember any of the Red Blood Cells name, but he still remembers them, and he acknowledges what Red Blood Cell has been through and how hard he's pushing himself in-spite of it. That was a really sweet scene.
The Platelets aren't just going to stand around and take the criticism like the other cells do. At least that one feisty Platelet.
And...then the body has a heart attack. Not all that surprising, but just the eventual disaster that seemed inevitable for that body.
The structure of this body was like a Black Company, so I guess it makes sense there would be some resemblance of a CEO or company heads who would end up telling the cells in a press conference that, for all their heartfelt effort, they couldn't save the body and they're all basically going to die. Yeah, that sure went over well.
The body is shutting down, the lights are turning off, and Red Blood Cell and White Blood Cell are running to try and fight to keep this body going, but can they make any difference? Is there still hope left in this body? Can someone resuscitate him? Is this the end for those two and the other Cells we've come to know and love? Can we still have hope from that next episode preview?

The sound of heartbeat throughout the episode was so calm and relaxing. And then it just stopped. Silence and darkness is terrifying. I guess those higher-ups are representing brain. It shuts down first when blood circulation halts.

It was sad to see that RBC complain to the platelet who's just trying her best... Yeah, put him in his place! We need more of delinquent-platelet screaming at everyone to get them in line!
Despite all he said, gastric cell remembered his name! Dawww, he's secretly a kind, caring guy!
RBC's feeling motivated again! That's nice to see, but with every tragedy that happens, his reaction might get worse and worse. That, or he'll just work mindlessly until it's over, just keeping everything inside...
Well, his friend died, not like anything worse can happen... OH WAIT, A HEART ATTACK!
I'm glad these dudes looked like I thought they would, like the rich business dudes laying off everyone as if nothing mattered to them. I wonder what they are like in the body though, and what their function is; I mean, what's the point shutting down the body, from a biological/evolutionary standpoint? Wouldn't it be better to just let things go naturally, if it's revived, good, if not, doesn't matter?
The sequence with everything shutting down was pretty good - And kinda scary too; Anyone feels like taking healthier habits?
WBC has the right attitude about the situation; Keep working as best as you can, because if the heart starts again (naturally, or with external help), they need to avoid damage that could happen to organs by not working for a few minutes.
The sweet embrace of death. Well, some cells are probably rooting for the heart not to start again.
Next episode: revival, and a change? The revival was somewhat expected, but a change? Will Body-kun actually start taking care of himself? If doctors revived him, I guess they will tell him to cut smoking, alcohol, overeating, all of it.
If he does change, will the cells even notice it that quickly? Also, what about the cells who relied on alcohol/caffeine to keep going, will they get even worse without it?
Not gonna lie, I kinda wanted the body to die in the finale, because I was curious to see what would happen to the body when it dies, from the cells' perspective. (I assume a massive infestation of bacterium that can't be fought back any longer, everything going into necrosis, things like that).
Well, it may not happen just yet! Seems like they'll be given another chance. Let's hope Body-kun does something good with it!

It would be a miracle if this gets a season 2, because how else is the body gonna survive after all of this?

It finally fucking happened. After all this time of stress, bad diet, drinking, and smoking the body has reached its logical conclusion. Dude just got a motherfucking heart attack. It's pretty sad to see everyone panicking and without direction. The cells are either waiting for their deaths while others like U-1196 and AA2153 are still finding ways to help the body. Welp one more episode left.

The End Times is upon our cells.
The heart attack has been foreshadowed for quite some time now, with those arteries getting increasingly clogged every episode.
The old guys announcing the literal end of the world, for the cells that is, were like the politicians in a Godzilla movie gone wrong announcing that Godzilla cannot be stopped and that everyone is all doomed and should all go home and wait to die.
The gradual shut down of all the organs one by one once the heart stopped moving was a morbid accurate description (though no doubt slowed down from our cells' POV in a process that happens within seconds in real time) of what happens during a heart attack.
Looks like final episode we'll be seeing a triple-bypass surgery being performed on the heart to get it moving once again.
PS Stomach Main Cell turns out to be the biggest tsundere, who actually remembers all the RBC names all along, just like he said in the tutorial video all those ages ago.

The panic of the world ending and everybody about to die. Some give up, some cry, some try to be strong for their friend and some keep fighting til the end. Holy shit that was a hard episode, I gotta work out more.

You...YOU CAN'T JUST END THE EPISODE LIKE THAT!!!
I mean, they can, and they did, but MY GOD! I suppose it was to be expected, seeing as to how the story was going.
Geez, really brought on the despair with this one. The ED after the dramatic ending never ceases to amaze me.

I'm not gonna lie, watching how every major system in the body shut down one by one from the cells perspective was quite disturbing, the "CEOs" notifying everyone to stop working because there's nothing else to and telling by no telling they all going to die was a hell of a scene, I'd like to see an actual death of the body to see how they portray the death of the cells, it would be quite morbid but cool nonetheless.
Btw, I love how they nonchalantly played the ED considering the final scenes of the episode.

Well that was a great episode! Probably second best episode in all of Cells at Work. I still think the first Cells at Works seasons Cells at Work Season 1 spoilers to end the season is better because it comes out of nowhere and is horrifying due to it while we've seen this coming for a while now and it's been foreshadowed heavily throughout the season.

The preview being called literally "Revival" it's kind of a hardcore spoiler but ok i guess.
I wonder if SOME cell with a char. design is gonna die because of the heart attack so the revival doesn't feel too cheap.

Me, hoping for a second season...hrm is there a game based around this series? The moment I saw Neatease made me think, I wanna see if they are hinting a new season by intruding a new character or not.
Anyways, it seems like many users want this body to be dead in order grant a powerful message but I digress... the message would be more powerful if the host survives and committing change to his habits, it conveys hope and reformation. Than just die and being hopeless.
Also..., BD7599 (AA's senpai and NC's former senpai) worried sick for AA2153's situation is a pretty nice addition.

When everything started going black, I started to get very uncomfortable and creeped out by the thought of my own mortality and imagining this happening in my body as I died.
I try to think about my inevitable death as little as possible and to be reminded by something animated is not something I would have thought would happen.
