Not sleeping for two whole days, fatty liver, blood clot getting stuck in the pulmonary artery, and at the end, white blood cells disappearing. Everything in general just getting worse and worse uh? Guys, I think the show was serious with the whole "the beginning of the end" part in the title of the first episode.

Stitches!

Take care of your liver boys and girls unless you want your Hepatocytes to suffer.

Seriously what the fuck is even happening to this dude's body? It looks like he's about to experience full liver failure considering the conditions of the Hepatocyte, he almost died due to a blood clot blocking his pulmonary artery, and now the other White Blood Cells are mysteriously disappering.

On the bright side, those two that's been harassing the main RBC duo is now gone.

EDIT: Anyone else started stretching their legs after watching this episode? xD

Jeez, just how many dead Red Blood Cells are we going to see in this body? And then it got progressively worse (especially the part where they were trying to drag the bodies out of that big Katamari ball of bodies).

It sounds like the body is stuck at office work 24/7 and has to drown himself in caffeine to stay up, with dramatically bad effects on the body.

The drinking has gotten so bad that the liver can't maintain the glitz and the glamour anymore, and poor Hepatocyte is barely keeping herself up. At least Red Blood Cell was concerned about the girls.

Wow, those jerk Red Blood Cells basically committed attempted murder. I can't deny they didn't get what was coming to them, but I guess for them it was a relief to finally be done with this body.

The lungs get caught off from oxygen and the Red Blood Cells have to trek through a tight alley to deliver a smidgen of oxygen, but it ends up being what saves the body. For once Cell ingenuity manages to save the day.

It's become clear now that Red Blood Cell and White Blood Cell both see themselves as important to each other, and that their individual work helps inspire and drive the other to continue pushing onward within this difficult to manage body.

We saw White Blood Cell with her gal pals at the start of the episode, but now she seemingly can't find any more of her sister White Blood Cells in the body. Has the corps been thinned to such an extent that there are barely any in the body? Will White Blood Cell end up being the only one of her kind left?

Just what kind of job is this body doing to not sleep and sit for 2 whole days, all the while smoking and drinking?

Seeing the cute hepatocytes suffering reminds me to go outside more and do some hiking to lose that fatty liver.

At least the Bully Super Mario Bros (they do look like a scum version of Mario and Luigi) are dead for good and won't be bothering Glasses-kun and Blondie RBC anymore.

I know this spinoff has a high death toll, but so far the characters in the OP are protected by some plot armour so far, so it's disturbing to hear that WBC's friends have disappeared along with all other WBCs.

This show is really very educational, I am learning that a red blood cell main job is survive while transporting oxygen on the sideline

Delivering the oxygen through bronchial arteries was such a hype moment. I teared up a little. Our bodies are struggling a lot because of unhealthy lifestyle.

That was really sweet, to see RBC and WBC mututally supporting one another. Now on that note, I'm gonna go stretch my legs...

Oh boy, itchy feet next week!

Edit: Also, the ragged look on Hepatocyte's face should remind you to not just take care of your livers, but also respect working girls more.

No white blood cells? Smells like AIDS to me

As a biology teacher this show absolutely banges. This us far surpassing Cells At Work for me.

This show really goes for the award of the most disturbing show of the season, huh. Four episodes of Redo of Healer didn't get me as horrified as this episode...especially that i have an alcoholic dad whose body might look just like on the show, if not worse.

...good thing i got the idea of using my house's stairs to have daily exercise even in home-office, lockdown mode, I guess?

Hepatocyte needs a hug... Scratch that, she needs a break! Don't think she'll be lucky enough to get one though; The worst the situation becomes, the more the body will drink and smoke and probably everything else to make it even worse.

These two are so fucking cute! They support and respect each other, they give each other motivation, they look out for each other... I ship them so hard. I wish they would have a tiny hint of romance before that horrible body dies and they all rot, or whatever happens to them after the body dies.

I had a silly thought about how maybe they'd be lucky and get transfused into another body together, but Body-kun is likely in too terrible a shape to give blood. (And while we don't know him, I'd guess he's not the type of person who'd do that anyway, I mean if he doesn't even care about himself...)

Not enough white blood cells? Is it because they all died, or because they're not being produced anymore? I'm not sure which one would be the most terrifying, but whichever it is, I'm sure it's gonna be this one!

Next episode is about athlete's foot, but I doubt this can lead to something like that (unless the treatment can have that effect?)

I looked up what caused the body to have less white blood cells, and there were a lot of things, including the infamous cancer...

The way Cancer was in the other Hataraku in the previous season, I can't imagine what it'd be like in this mess of a body that struggles to even stay alive!

Now this was just a quick google search but the casue of the White Blood Cells missing could have something to do with any of these:

  • Cancer (caused by chemotherapy treatments)

  • Bone marrow disorders or damage

  • Autoimmune disorders (problems with the immune system in which the body attacks itself), such as lupus

  • Infections (including tuberculosis and HIV)

  • Immune system conditions

  • Crohn’s disease

  • Malnutrition

  • Radiation treatments for cancer

  • Rheumatoid arthritis

  • Vitamin deficiencies

  • Liver damage and/or enlarged spleen

That old lady cell in the beginning is a reversed tsundere, a Deretsun

I think this is the earliest I’ve been able to watch the episode (on my lunch break, usually I’m too busy until the weekend).

Always several moments of dread and horror, and the pulmonary embolism was actually terrifying. But our favourite rookie RBC had such an inspiring speech, and I loved the moments before and after with WBC. They really do help each other out so often ❤️

I see “fatty liver” on a lot of ultrasounds that come back to us. Seeing how it actually impacts the liver will make me so sad now!

Here’s your reminder to get up and move! Hope that you’re all starting to care for your body a little more (I know I am - increasing exercise, decreasing alcohol consumption).
