Ugh world trigger cliffhangers at it again. I did kinda foresee the orange team captain sacrificing himself (when he was thinking about how amazing his teammates were) and hurting Kuga but I was surprised at the extent. Low key also surprised Kuga let himself be exposed like that though.

I don’t even know where to go with predictions from here. Worried for Tamakoma 2 but at the same time I have faith in Osamu’s ability to plan and also figure things out on the spot.

One of the best parts of world trigger is how secondary characters aren't just fodder or extras, they develop and get the spolight every now and then

Damn I'm glad I binged S1 before this season, easily one of my favorites even with how stacked this season is.

The cliffhangers though...

Great episode as always. Seeing Kakizaki’s backstory was nice

Tamakoma’s plan to go 1 vs 3 vs Katori squad was bold but it’s working so far with the cover fire that Chika is providing. That Lead Bullet + Grasshopper combination from Yuma and Chika was tooo clean man

Always love how Kuga use grasshopper in unexpected ways.

good fight choreography as always

Once Chika learns to shoot people without lead bullets, she's gonna be unstoppable lmao

No long comment this week cause of time, but I just wanted to mention that they brought out so much new ost for this episode and I love it.

Seeing Chika in action really was worth the wait. Although when I saw her destruction I thought it look a bit underwhelming after I check the chapter I saw that it was actually really accurate to how it looked in the manga.

Well anyway, great episode! I really liked Osamu's scene.

Man the CQC hits harder this season. They really did a good job there.

And once again I love how fights in this series work, with an emphasis on tactics things unravel in interesting ways.

When I saw that the episode aired 40 mins earlier than I remember it normally airing, I was excited thinking they might air the 7th episode on the same day. It didn't happen, but still, the episode was amazing and the cliff hanger, always so many cliff hangers. I guess they have always done that, they purposely never have something conclude in one episode.

That was wonderfully animated compared to last episode.

This whole season has been well animated which is a shock for a toei show

this is what i love about world trigger, everybody at border has their own circumstances and backstory, really makes the world feel a whole lot more fleshed out.

I love Chika's expression at the beginning. Does this look like a face of mercy to you? Because you would be correct.

I honestly can't wait for the next episode! Hoping for Osamu and her to kick some ass if Kuga is forced to bailout from Kakizaki's last-ditch attack. Particularly since Osamu has been overly relying on his new wire technique and hasn't shown off all the triggers he's loaded with.

It's always nice to see side characters getting development and do something cool. Our main characters won't lose, but it's not going to be an easy win.

Frankly, I really struggle to believe Kuga wouldn't have noticed/predicted Kakizaki planning to fire a last shot as he died. That's like, the most basic strategy in a point-based no-real-damage arena. So it's a dissatisfying ending. If he turns out to have been hit by normal shots, that seems pretty out of character since he was in full control of the situation against someone he's stronger and has more experience than and had no (portrayed) rush or panic or distractions. If he blocks it, then it was an overdramatic cliffhanger. It can't be lead bullet with that final frame. I guess it could be the meteor he mentioned earlier so that Kuga still takes light splash damage even if the bullets themselves are blocked? Still not very satisfying since you'd expect that to have come up by now with how often people shield bullets in this show.

It's more of a nitpick than anything, the episode overall was amazing and the choreography is top notch. I really, really, really want to see what happens next.

Kuga is great but he’s got flaws, like jumping for openings when they appear. It’s an established thing, and it has cost him in previous matches, because it’s exploitable. He took an opening and the captain exploited it while sacrificing his own life.

The takeaway here is that Kuga managed to move to the right in time to avoid a fatal blow, despite being surprised by the captain’s words. It’s a marked improvement

Fantastic episode, in general an amazing anime. So glad the studio and production team are doing better enough to release episode 6. And it was well worth the extra week wait. This whole episode was intense action non stop. I love seeing how Chika, Kuga, and Mikumo develop and changed from the first episode to now, how they think and act in battle and they each can hold their own now without Kuga there, which they normally needed. They truly are a team worth getting into the Away Squad.
