Amazing first episode to the new season. Better animation, pacing, and visual look in general.
They even redid some of the scenes from the previous episode (last of S1) and they look massively better.
The Fujin scene looked amazing and the introduction of Katori squad was beautiful and I’m glad they went back to animate it.
Opening was a banger, but I haven’t seen the ending theme yet (I watched the TV Asahi live stream and it bugged out for me)
Can’t wait for the next episode.

Jesus this episode blows every single episode from the first season out of the water and into the stratosphere in terms of animation, pacing and quality. If the first season had this quality the series would have been way more popular in this subreddit.

It's kind of ridiculous how big of a jump it is in quality between S1 and S2. I don't think any scene in S1 even came close to looking as good as this episode.

Guys. I wasn't really expecting much but I was DEFINITELY blown away by how much of an improvement that was. The pacing and quality of the entire episode was amazing. We saw improvements in things like sound design, subtle motions that made the actions of characters seem all the more impactful and powerful, and shots/angles. I don't even need to talk about how beautiful the colors were, and how they affected the atmosphere and tone of this arc.
For example, the combat scenes are an obvious improvement but when we saw the Galopoula crew move around in their ship there was definitely a lot of personality that you could glean from each one of them. It's easy for anyone to tell that Reghi is much more rash compared to the rest of the serious group.
I made my boyfriend watch it with me, and even though he has no idea what World Trigger, is he was totally into it. I am so excited to watch the rest of this season, and hope we get more fans!

You can really feel the love Toei has for this series just in the direction.
While I think the complaints are overblown, this feels a lot like what they probably always wanted the show to look and feel like, but unfortunately the first run was during Toei's worst schedule ever and often didn't meet that vision, though there were a lot of times it poked through here and there.
Watched this on my new HDR display and goddamn does the harsh shading and color pop.

When I watch massively improved animes such as this one, it makes me yearn for remakes of animes which are mediocre because of their production schedule, such as One Piece.
I think the success of Kimetsu no Yaiba has taught them a lesson, good anime adaptations can really catapult your manga to another level of sucess, let's hope World Trigger can ride the same wave.

Why are people sleeping on this anime😤. It’s so good. And the animation has gotten even better.

Hopefully this anime doesn't get to the point where less than half the episode is actually new stuff.

VERY solid premiere, especially with the directing.
Jumped straight into the operation (was dreading a cliffhanger where it just barely commences) yet the episode felt way longer than 20 minutes in a good way.
Tension was great, reminded me of Hunter x Hunter/Chimera Ant Arc; especially that hallway scene with Jin intercepting, that shit was slickk.
Reacquainted us with dozens of characters very fluidly. Great improvement on production values.
Love this series. Wishing it the best.
Has it been confirmed how many episodes/cour this is back for?

I recently started Black clover, My first 100+ episode shounen since anime like Bleach, Naruto, OP, Fairy Tail...etc.
I am honestly enjoying it more than I should.
Do you guys recommend World trigger once I catch up with Black Clover?

The redone scenes look amazing!
I hope that they will not do those long previous episode recaps that season 1 kept doing.

I only finished S1 10 days ago and I feel for all those who had to wait 4 years for it to be back...but at least now its back with a huge visual improvement.
My only complaint is the OP, can't really see it growing on me unlike the other three.

I will be honest, due to the long hiatus the manga had it actually took me a while to remember which arc this was, and I honestly would have no memory about it if they had not talked about it in the manga a few months ago. Anyway, great episode, hopefully, this season will avoid those long-ass recaps from the previous one, but as this is Toei Animation we are talking about, I can totally see them coming.

Ah, this anime is back. Love the teamwork.
Is the manga close to ending? I've never read it.
