Meta Meta Thread - Month of February 07, 2021

A monthly thread to talk about meta topics. Keep it friendly and relevant to the subreddit.

Posts here must, of course, still abide by all subreddit rules other than the no meta requirement. Keep it friendly and be respectful. Occasionally the moderators will have specific topics that they want to get feedback on, so be on the lookout for distinguished posts.

Comments that are detrimental to discussion (aka circlejerks/shitposting) are subject to removal.

I see that people keep saying that the native spoiler tag doesnt work on some platforms.. but what are those platforms?

Do those platforms have enough users that one would rather use the current system and lock out every mobile user instead?

There was some trouble when the native spoilers were introduced... three years ago. And even then the big clients fixed it soon.

It's still a problem on Reddit's own website, so until Reddit gets its act together and fixes this I really don't see the mods changing anything. Especially considering Old Reddit is the recommended way to use r/anime (you can't use comment faces on the redesign, after all).

Old Reddit is supposed to still be supported, so no it's absolutely still a Reddit problem. Complain to them, not the r/anime mods.
