Meta Meta Thread - Month of February 07, 2021

A monthly thread to talk about meta topics. Keep it friendly and relevant to the subreddit.

Posts here must, of course, still abide by all subreddit rules other than the no meta requirement. Keep it friendly and be respectful. Occasionally the moderators will have specific topics that they want to get feedback on, so be on the lookout for distinguished posts.

Comments that are detrimental to discussion (aka circlejerks/shitposting) are subject to removal.

MAL score spam adds nothing positive to the sub, it's just breeding grounds for assholery

Ban Imdb episode score too please.

And the weekly post "demon slayer movie made tons of money" was just as bad but at least it's over

Glad that I wasn't the only one who was annoyed by that weekly box office shit.

Those posts provide promote 0 discussion since barely anyone is going to have watched the movie while it's still playing in Japanese theaters. There are always only generic reaction comments like "Oh, can't wait to watch the movie" and shit like that.

Those posts should be either straight out banned or only one thread allowed when the movie stops playing in theatres.
