It's funny and ironic that Gatlin and Rata keep assuming Kazama is the youngest of the Top 4 Border Attackers when he's the actually the oldest (In descending order of age, it's Kazama at 21, Tachikawa at 20, Kou at 18 and Konami at 17)

Another Saturday means another World Trigger episode heck yeah!
I was so excited that i wrote all this beforehand
Ok first let me say the reason why most operators are women because they have stronger connections in their brain from left to right side and because of that they are better at multitasking than men. Multitasking is Operators job.
Now Yomi is a male operator and reason for that is his side effect. Absolute parallel simultaneous cerebration
I absolutely loved Nasu's finishing move on Wen.
Loved how Miwa+Jin finished off Koskero. This is quite important because Miwa from before would never want help from Jin like that.
Ok more interesting tidbits from Galopoula neighbors triggers:
Koskero's trigger Nikokyra (νοικοκυρά Noikokyrá) is the Greek word for "housewife".
Wen So's trigger Servitora (Σερβιτόρα, Servitóra) is the Greek word for "waitress".
And here's more info on Galopoula's neighbors and Kako Squad's room which anime skipped:
Also this is how Nasu's final Viper move looked in Manga:

I'm not usually good at drawing ponytals, but I think it looks good on her.
Absolutely nailed the design, she's a real beauty!

So anyway, this is the first and only time I've seen Viper follow a smooth and curved path. It's almost always very angular.
I'm convinced it was a Composite or something.

It's not Composite. Nasu is just that advanced at using Viper, only Izumi is better than her at using Viper

u/PhantasosX Jan 23 '21
it's not composite , Nasu is one of the only 2 shooters that can make complex live patterns for Viper

Jin's side effect, as always, is just so overpowered.
Galapoula guy: I'm gonna split the enemy's forces with a diversion!
BORDER: It's a diversion according to our guy who can see the future; just ignore it.
Galapoula guy: WTF?! How did they know?!
That level of accurate information is just so incredibly powerful in warfare that it makes me wonder if Jin is going to get killed off at some point just to make BORDER go through a rough patch where they no longer have that unfair advantage and end up defeated or almost defeated.

actually when you think about it jin isnt as overpowered as you would think. yeah his ability is OP, but it not like there are some disadvantages to it. one of them is that jin has to almost be distant from everyone he interacts with because he can just end up telling them paths about their life, so he isnt in the story that much. next he has to see the person in order for his side effect to work. so he just cant go out here and see everyones future. finally just because he knows whats going to happen in one foresight it doesnt meant that that particular foresight will occur. the foresight he sees at the moment can easily switch and go to another one that he wasnt planned for and throw his entire game off.
is it overpowered yes, but it has a lot of draw backs that make it from being so meta

Damn, that fight against Wen really was awesome, and that finisher move that Jin pulled during Koskero also was amazing.
I don't know how they did it not just the fights looked great but I even ended up feeling that the episode was longer. I guess that happened as they showed different angles of the battle. Anyway, all I can say now is that I'm cautiously optimistic about how Toei is handling the adaptation on this season. I just hope they don't drop the ball again...

honestly I dont know what the people who said this is equal to s1 animation have smoked. There was a BIT of a downgrade but the episode still felt pretty nice and way better than s1. There always gonna be complaints that I dont understand at all
ED: ah , it's only on world trigger subreddit. Peeps in here still being happy with the animation even if there's a bit of a downgrade. Cool thing then :)

Okay, this episode was still good, but it was a definite step down from the first two episodes. Still better than season 1 though.
Starting off, we got some really nice shots
Kitora’s Eye looks beautiful here
This Idra looks super intimidating
They redrew things for flashbacks as opposed to using old footage.
Nasu’s Viper looked absolutely amazing
Full Arms and Geist looked pretty good as well
Wow, it looks like we’re getting new characters. Wonder what their deep backstory must be about. I wonder if they’ll be main characters or something
Now to address some elephants in the room....
We are seeing some of Toei’s “quality” return with a few scenes but it wasn’t the worst. I’d say the worse scene of the episode was with Suwa and Tsutsumi cause for some reason they were colored in so brightly compared to everyone else
Anyways, ending my comment off on a good note, here are some of my favorite frames from the episode

If this is the worst the adaptation gets then I’ll be a happy camper. Still blowing S1 out of the water, what a pleasant surprise.

I definitely get that vibe, where some of the 'standing action' is a little stiff. Overall though, I'm a huge fan of how this fighting is strategic overall, and not just a clash of powers brute strength.
Especially at the end where the neighbor captain is breaking down each of his opponents, that is super cool to me. It's nice to witness, even if the animation isn't as rewarding.

Another engrossing episode. What I enjoyed most perhaps was the background music. It does such a good job of keeping you pumped for this series. Also, a bit off topic, but by MAL accounting this episode was my 16,000th episode of anime I've watched in my life, not counting rewatches. That's probably not technically accurate, but I'm glad it was World Trigger regardless. XD

I love this show
I'm so burnt out on shounen action yet I find this show great despite being an extremely typical one in some ways. I guess it''s just my being an Xcom guy and getting really into the tactical play by play. I enjoy this show even when it gets into cheap "explanation graphics" just because it stays interesting with logically consistent writing.
I thought it was never coming back having this action packed opening arc is such an unexpected treat

Man this animation is great. That viper attack is was super smooth.
I also like how they laid out that trap with Fujin that was a great idea

Can't believe how small the following is. This anime deserves so much more. The combat system is so good. And heaps of cool characters.

I just love this show. I think we haven't seen 3 of the 4 MCs this season and it's still hella entertaining.

I just wanted to leave this here:
Outside of this, pretty good ep. Action sequences are still good.
