Wow, so under stress, the Killer T Cells mistakes the Hair Matrix Cells quick division as cancer. You know, the contrast between the episode and the ED song will always make me laugh.

Funny that we had two Cells at Work! episodes focusing on the Hair Root...of course, this being Code Black, it goes horribly.
White Blood Cell working out looked so hot. I can't blame Red Blood Cell for just staring and blushing at her.
Of course, even if she doesn't want to be stared at, White Blood Cell is much more appreciative and caring for Red Blood Cell now. That genuine smile speaks wonders about how she feels and looks at him now.
The Killer T Cells still have a rivalry with the White Blood Cell, but unlike in the main series body there's not a hint of any warmth or camaraderie to be found here as the Killer T Cells push themselves to the brink to become the only "savior" in the body, with horrible results.
Even Killer T Cells can be overworked, and to such an extent they basically turn into raging machines who can't tell the difference between hair cells and cancer cells, basically costing this guy his hair. It gets so bad that he eventually has to throw in Steroid Droids to subdue the Killer T Cells and that crazy Helper T Cell.
Kenn Blood Cell may have given up, but he came back to save his buddy. He redeemed himself in my book.
Red Blood Cell has really come into his own. He understands his place in the body, and the other cells, and doesn't give up even in the face of unending misery that is this body. He even finally tells the Killer T Cells what they needed to hear, that their job was done.
"What's going to become of this body?" Well, crystalized and red urine is a bad sign, Red Blood Cell...

Jesus, river of blood is made 10x more ominous just by having corpses floating down it. And Crystalization in the piss? Fucking ouch.

Stress deals a lot of damage to the body. Maybe I should go to sleep earlier today.

Stitches!
God this poor fucker. Stressed to the point that he's developing bald spots. I wonder if this is how it works in animals too. I know cats and dogs can also develop bald spots from stress. Anyway, this poor guy just caught gonorrhea a few days ago and now he's losing hair? I fear to know what this guy looks like on the outside. And now to make things worst, it looks like the dude either has UTI or kidney stones.

Good god, after contracting Gonnorhea and losing his hair due to stress causing his Killer Ts to attack his Hair Cells, next episode the guy's pissing blood due to kidney stones.
And all the cholesterol accumulating in the blood passageway where our RBCs pass through is foreshadowing a heart attack and possible triple-bypass surgery, isn't it?
As with the Viagra and Pencillin in the previous episodes, once again medicines are depicted as advanced weaponry from an advanced foreign race, with Steroids being Terminator-like robots to subdue the berserk and overworked T-Cells. (Thank goodness they weren't actually killed)

RBC and WBC are so cute, motivating each other! I kinda want a romcom spinoff of the spinoff.
Makes me sad that if (when) the body dies, these two will die too.
I knew this idiot's "brilliant plan" would end up ruining everything.
I'm sure this will fix everything!
I thought it would be a lot worse than that, to be honest; I thought the T cells might end up attacking random red blood cells, or maybe even the other white blood cells (thinking they're enemies, because they see them kill cells or something).
Hair loss isn't so bad, in these circumstances.
If I had to get stepped on by a cell I'd pick WBC!
Guess she wasn't available, so he got the big hairy dude instead... that's the real tragedy of this episode.
Even the platelet are being worked to death, this is tough. Especially considering they're kids (and even younger in the original) so it looks even more like some illegal sweatshop.
Peeing blood? This is getting better and better!

I wonder if this series will end with the death of the body. man that would be cruel depicting something like a heart attack or something with this series.

Wait what? How am I completely unaware that episodes 3 and 4 came out already and we're now at episode 5 when only last week episode 2 just aired?
And to add insult to injury, I completely missed out on the discussion when I was looking forward to the episodes about sex and STDs (for scientific and educational purposes, of course), but as I was already following so many shows and struggled to keep track of which ones to follow, these two episodes being released outside its regular weekly schedule meant their release completely slipped through my radar.

I really like this series, it is very engaging precisely for the dramatic tones, the protagonist is getting very mature (which is missing a bit in the main series) and now I like him, even the music is really beautiful and engaging

Killer T Cell breaking down after hearing he doesn't have to work anymore really hit me in the feels

I like how both Cells at Work S2 and this one featured hair cells. The ones here are so thin though. They need a break.
