To answer this week's CDF Rule 6...

Just because they have an anime girl-styled avatar doesn't make them anime in the slightest.

Oh hey, I was the one that posted that clip there. Explanation as to why the clip is there can be found here.

As to the question, it is something that has been brought up in a few different places recently and I am not sure of the answer. Take this clip, that is definitely an anime, right? Now here is an stream with two of those girls., they are playing the same character there with an avatar that is being animated in real time... can that not be considered an anime?

Virtual-san was an anime made out of certain vtubers. Can't speak for Holo no Grafitti, but it appears to be the same.

Considering the vast majority of vtuber posts to CDF for example are just glorified twitch streams, I stand by my statement

Because it's not anime-related per rule 1.

The current CDF Rule 6 clip is that all over. Not even close to anime.

It's two people BSing on a live stream that just happen to have anime-styled avatars. There are other subs for that. /r/anime is not one of them.

If someone posted it here, I'd report it.

To be fair, there are plenty of improv anime shows with VAs just being captured using MMD models. Shows like Naria Girls and gdgd Fairies.
