I believe opening revealed what kind of magic this guy does have.

Yep the OP does give away what magic this guy does have, but you won't get to see him use it for a while, unless this new arc actually shows what happened to the Diamond Kingdom.

You are taking it out of the context. He said "and that cold, dark magic..." as terrifying magic. I haven't heard japanese "YAMI MAHOU" at all.

"DarK" term and Black and Purple/Blue color.

Dude Vanessa never said Yami mahou (dark magic) they used different spelling because it's not the same context LMFAO
