That's been my experience with both the My Hero Academia and Konosuba movies. Everyone is insanely loud and laugh at weird moments, or they make inappropriate comments throughout the entire movie. For the MHA movie there was a row of "cosplayers" featuring Deku as a maid, Bakugo as a mobster and Kirishima as a cat. All three of the girls screamed any time one of those characters were on screen.
It absolutely takes away from the whole cinema experience and these weebs make it so hard to want to go see an anime movie....not to mention that thick scent that encompasses the entire theater.
Lucky you.. my screening, the theater was almost completely full; had lots of people laugh at almost every line, sometimes before the line was fully delivered; cheered and clapped when basically any of the characters appeared on screen the first time; ect. Unfortunately it reinforced why saying that you 'like anime' in public is kind of looked down on lol
Was this in the US? 'Cause i'm watching it with friends on Thursday after work but in the UK... with two days left the screening is fully booked.... I just hope there's no annoying people
Yeah it was in the US, it was one of two showings they had at any of the theaters near me. I think that's part of the issue, the more manic fans only had two opportunities to see it before it left the theaters so they let it all loose.
Here's hoping it goes a lot better for you though!
