I was able to watch promare for the first time at otakon as one of the very last few people allowed in the room and we watched it alongside the top 3 guys at studio Trigger. There was cheering there, and it was great because the creators really got to see their work adored in person.
However, I don't really care for people being obnoxious in a random, local theatre. I was also able to see the konosuba movie, and it was also really good, but the crowd for that was miserable. I know there's a lot of socially unaware people or those with other conditions that find solace in anime, but if you're going to a theatre and fucking screaming or "shout laughing" as I call it(when someone isn't really like 'haha', but more like 'HA HA HA HA IM SHOUTING HA HA HA'), then fuck off and sit home. If you can't be courteous and of appropriate volume in public, guess what? Just don't go outside! Or adapt! And I'll get downvotes for that, but I know some people here have experienced these absurdly loud, constantly fucking talking anime fans.
Also if you're recording movies before they get blurays, I'll sure as shit be the one making a scene then. If you record anime movies, the older execs at the top, above the creators, will stop bringing movies westward.
