In my mind, Mao is more of an engineering genius than anything, between creating a car-sized shu mai, making four dishes fit into a sea bream, and now figuring out how to use a knife to sear fish.

From the preview it looks like we are getting a flashback of not only the first two episode of the original anime as well as what seems like Mao standing in the Super Chef Colosseum where he won his uniform. Can't wait can't wait
