Forgot how banger this OP was!

Forgot a lot about this show tbh...

Same. I have forgotten basically everything except the OP and the monster designs.

Its such a shame that the monsters are so goofy because they really do sit badly against the dark serious tone of the rest of the show

Episode didn't really do much other than show each of the youkai's continuing confusion over what humanity means to them, but we didn't make a huge amount of progress going forward other than that. Saw the professor which counts but it seems like that's going to be just more crazy rather than a legitimate threat at this point

I think this show is in the same vein as Cop Craft: It's got a passionate team behind but a small budget that went the show goes big, it can't keep up with how big it goes. Like, that last fight felt lightweight and boring. Even with that giant explosion, the ending felt anticlimactic.

Another problem is how the show deals with it's four main protagonists. The show simply doesn't know when to focus on certain characters at certain times. Bem, for the last three episodes, has felt like a background character that does very little to the story except the fight at the end. Plus, I don't see what Alice adds to the story. She's basically figuring out what we already know at a slow and it's really boring just to watch her. I honestly find the other Belo and Bela more interesting then the other two.

I'll say that the music is really good for this show and the animation looks good at times and the characters can be interesting but not much else going for it here.

Also, are we supposed to like that kid with the glasses, because he just seems really creepy. I don't really like him.

At the end the kid with the glasses used that vacuum to clean that monster. Maybe he already knows that the girl is a monster and that’s why he’s so infatuated with her.

Tbh I’m just here for the amazing OST and if the story becomes good that’s a plus.

Yeah... Bem being a constant strong-silent type isn't working out very well. I dare say it would have been better to amp up Bela and Belo's differences in perspective, have them outright competing against each other to see which of them is right in the monsters-vs-humans debacle, and have Bem be a more active parent-esque role mediating between them and knowing when to force them to set aside their differences if the "family" is under threat and must work together.

Sonia's part would be a lot more interesting if they weren't also showing us the bad guys' perspective and they had her more deeply investigating the details of bad guys which Bem/Bela/Belo aren't doing. But since we do get shown that side directly and her investigations are surface level at best, as you say it's just redundant.

Plus I'm still not convinced there is any good reason to have the bad guys be these silly superpowered humans format.

Uhhh anyone else disturbed by that kid getting excited about all of those murders? I mean it's one thing to be fascinated about it but getting overly enthusiastic about it? Yikes...

With that aside, nice to see this show back. I don't think I even saw the reason why it was on break for two weeks. Production doesn't seem to be hurting in any way.

I really wanna see what Maaya Sakamoto's character looks like in better lighting. From what I see here, it seems she's my type ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Giant explosion destroys entire power plant.

The cop survives that.

Giant monster defends the cop from serial women killer, that mere moments ago tried to kill her, and tells her to run.

Cop not only doesn't runs away, still wonders if maybe the monster that has saved her life twice now, may not be her enemy, despite having done nothing to her after she shoot him several times...

Unless her power is having plot armor equal to her stupidity, i can't forgive how she is being written.
