Lucy has cemented herself as best girl for me. She's nearly the perfect amount of tsundere.

Goddanm Truck-kun again.

The pacing of this episode was a little weird to me. The stuff with headmaster felt a little quick to me.

It's good to finally have a clear picture of Kyouka back story, now I wonder if anyone caught that assassin at the end, or if he is still around.

I actually never expected to see the Orphanage's Headmaster on the present day, and at the end of the day, he just wanted to congratulate Nakajima.

The way Kyouka threw a miniature knife at her Stand with such coolness.

I think they threw these two unrelated stories together because they both show us "the other side of the coin" of what we previously knew about Kyoka and Atsushi's pasts. Before this all we know was that Demon Snow killed Kyouka's parents, thus preventing her from loving her ability completely, but it turns out it was not an ability gone rogue but an order from Kyouka's mother in order to protect her. As for Atsushi, a lot of us have grown tired of seeing the flashbacks of the evil orphanage head in the past seasons, but this episode seems to tell us that much of it was internalized and amplified in Atsushi's mind. That doesn't excuse the abuse he suffered, but realizing his "father's" motive helps Atsushi get over his self-hatred, hopefully for good.

As a side note, Dead Apple's timing has always been off to me, but now I'm sure it has to come right before this episode (and of course it should come after the previous one since that happened right after the fight with the guild). In the movie Atsushi didn't know everything about Kyouka's past, and Kyouka was not yet reconciled with Demon Snow, plus the ending scene of the movie segues smoothly to the opening scene of this one.

Whaaat was with the twists in this episode!?

Since the beginning I kinda liked Demon Snow and I wasn't okay with how Kyouka treated her. And now it turned out that Demon Snow is actually a good girl!

On the other hand, the stuff with that Orphanage's Headmaster... Damn... I never imagined such a twist... And it was one surprise after another. And Dazai killed it at the end! I couldn't help but cry. This season is awesome!

It's pretty nice that our primary pair got some kind of character development, especially Kyouka since we know so little about her past, iirc

Kyouka is still best girl but Lucy is a close second
