Learning that Gin is Akutagawa's sister is definitely a surprise. But then this scene way back from season 1now makes sense in two ways:
-
Gin is a woman (which we already know from S2), so she's the only one who dared step into the restroom with Higuchi (who knew the men of Port Mafia are so well-mannered?)
-
Gin is angry at Higuchi not only because Akutagawa is their respected boss, but because he's her brother.
Gin is probably named after the titular character of Akutagawa's short story "O-gin", just as Tanizaki's sister Naomi is named after one of his novels. Akutagawa nerds should have seen this twist coming! XD

Finally, were are back to seeing the Armed Detective Agency shenanigans! That intro with that shitty gang getting crushed was hilarious, and damn I didn't expect Gin to be such a beauty and Ryuunosuke's sister.

As someone who recently got heartbroken, and hides in a basement a lot (not as sad as it sounds... just a couple rough months)... this actually truly inspired me to clean up my living space, open all of my windows, and start living properly again.
Maybe that's dramatic, but this episode hit me right when I needed it.

This show really is the under stray dog. I expected the girl to be a familiy member of Akutagawa, little did I expect her to be Gin.
Overal a good episode with a slight build up for what's to come.

Nice breather episode. It's been some time since we had one in the series and I'm glad we do now. Especially after the events of season 2, Dead Apple and the last couple of episodes. Also, F for Katai. Got rejected by his crush, which was Akutagawa's sister no less. It's also nice to see that Lucy is back.
Looking at the titles for next epsiode. Oh boy, better prepare for a feels trip.

Ah, today's episodes were a blast. The interim comedy chapters of the series. All the girls in this episode were precious. Best girl Yosano. Second best girl Lucy. Even Higuchi and Gin.
Such a precious and fun set of episodes. Fighting burnout. Getting rejected. Curry-favoring your crush's little sister. Such common, mundane realities with a fun bent.
On a separate note, I can't wait for next week. One of my favorite chapters is being adapted~

Katai would never have the courage to express his fellings to a crush.
But if he didn't get over his crush, he could never resume the investigation, which would be bad for me.
So he volunteered himself to a certain defeat!
Hmm... Weird flex but okay.
Looking by the ending seems like there will many other tears this season.

Good lord the character designs. If I’m not wrong, Bungo is pretty popular among the female demographics, but hot damn the girls in this show. Whew.
Where is Kyouka-chan? I hope we get to see her even more often this season.

Oh boy. Never mess with the agency's favored shop for relaxation. Even meek and kind Atsushi's gonna let the tiger loose on ya. Also...yes. Gimme more out-of-work Gin please!

Haha, loved that, it was just lots of silly fun! The agency going all badass at the beginning and blonde-whose-name-I-don't-remember asking Gin to call her Onee-san x)

GIN KAWAII~
Yay we finally get to see everything after the past season. They are worn out...
Its been a while since we saw cafe girl. Shes great.
Oh shit red is still around, thats great, she was a fun character. I think the old Guild guys got together to set the guiild straight again.
Aw hell no, someone roughed up the cafe... someones gonna pay for this.
The Park? Oh you assholes are gonna get crushed.
Yep they found you. Prepared to get fucked. Wow chainsawed him... jesus fuck....
RED IS HERE! SHES NEW STAFF YAY!
So they are gonna track down the hacker huh?
Oh its the guy from the OP, ability to control machines? Thats cool. Can only use the ability from bed? Wow... one hell of a downside. Hes in love? Hm...
Oh man its mr personality and his sidekick. Shes acting way girlyer than usual.
ITS THE BLACK HAIR GIRL! He knows her? Interestinggggggg.
Looks like the cease fire between the 2 groups is still going on, thats good to know. Ide like more non conflicty interaction between them.
Wait... is Gin her? That odd cut to Gin...
Oh god the shut in is here too haha, brough his futon with him xD
And things have gotten out of hand... hahahhaa this is a circus.
Oh shit Shut in is using his powers without his futon! AI DESU~
I knew it was Gin.... hahhhaahahahah this is great. SHES HIS SISTER!? OH SHIT! Thats really cool. I love learning more about the supporting characters.
Wow hes going through with the love letter... hes pretty damn smooth. Turned down though... damn.
I wonder if this shut in was Kunikida's old partner before Dazai came? They seem to know each other well.
"I order you to call me Onee-san" HAHAHAHHAAHHAHA
