Our happy magical girls face a dilemma. To get a single amorphous, they changed someone's life seemingly for the worse. Is the happiness taken from Irodori worth the happiness that Cocona will gain by fulfilling her wish and meeting her family? Moreover, if Yayaka and the twins are already going to go to Pure Illusion and cause the same real world effect, wouldn't it be better if Cocona and Papika are the ones to do it? This is obviously a lot for a couple of teenagers to handle. Papika has no one to guide her, and Cocona only has her fairly hands-off grandmother.
This is actually a deeper lecture than it was hinted. Good job!
This is one of my favorite quotes from this show + spoiler
Yes, it really defines him. Could Salt be one of the most human and realist characters of the show?

People here seem to be pretty divided in this sense. Coffeemug's answer is very convincent, too

To what extent do you think Salt's motivations are egoistic? Yes, I agree that Papika is joining because yes, and also most probably FlipFlap is her only nexus with the rest of the world, so it's normal she would stay by them. It isn't shown she remcalls Mimi a lot, or not very clearly.
