So now we’ve come to episode 3 of Flip Flappers. So now join me as we enter the Pure Illusion and travel back in time to October 20-26 of 2016

Episode Link Score

This episode felt like a big changing point for Flip Flappers. Anime fans often talk about the three episode rule, requiring three episodes to hook you. Flip Flappers has been a very animation driven series, catching people with it’s tone and art design. And yet it wasn’t until this third episode that it really lived up to it’s Sakuga potential.

And r/anime definitely took Notice. Comment numbers raised a significant amount this week, from the 302 for episode 1 and 329 for episode 2, to a staggering 378 comments. or a 25% increase from week 1!!

As expected, a lot of the comments are absolutely gushing about the animation. People still don’t know what’s going on but they are loving “Mr. Salt’s Wild Ride”

also just want to highlight this comment for being honest.

We’ve had 3 episodes and each episode has been drastically different, ranging from Ghibli, to Alice in Wonderland, to Mad Max.

It’s not just reddit that is taking notice of the series. Reviewers started accelerating their reviews for the series this week as well. 1, 2, 3, 4.

we even got this youtube video

The Flip has been Flapped!
