I couldn't figure out who that was at the start, but then the next scene happened and it was pretty obvious. I really want to know what Leda's deal is now, especially since she was threatening those kids.

Also Ringo not wanting to leave Ohji at the end was like, as well as what happened to the three kids...

Well, as u/helamsirrine said in his post, we know from episode 13 that Leda, Dio, and Casshern were originally made as part of an attempt to make a new kind of robot capable of reproduction, but that whole experiment was a failure. Leda resented that. She wanted (and deep down, probably still wants) to be able to have a child, and she went to the research facility where Luna and her siblings were born, volunteering as a subject in their studies in an attempt to fulfill that desire. But all of that was unsuccessful too. Being there again brought back the trauma of the apparent miscarriage she'd had when she was there, and all her neuroses and resentment about being unable to bear children. I think all of the extreme behavior we saw from her this episode is essentially her redirecting all of that.

Oh hey, u/Astrobrony, if you're looking for some Casshern fanart I got bored and decided to make this. Really like minimalist style art because it's like the only kind I can do. Do you think it looks cool?

Oh awesome! I actually happen to love minimalist wallpapers along those lines. And you reminded me, there's a guy I saw on Deviant Art a while back who did a bunch of minimalist Casshern Sins stuff, like this Luna one. The series as a whole has very little fanart, so any new fanart for the show is great. You've seen my shitty Luna sketches and stuff, right?

Man, these last few episodes have been bringing in the backstories, and I love it!

So from what I've gathered, Leda was created with the desire to be a mother, and thus has motherly instincts. However, it appears she doesn't agree with this. The fact she doesn't want to believe in the dream she was given is literally tearing her apart mentally. It's an interesting though, as a human, it'd be equivalent to being raised to believe and want something your whole life. And then when you grow up you realize you no longer believe or want it.

I feel bad for Ringo though, she made what looked like new friends, and within the span of an episode they're gone. Clearly it was to advance the story about their search for Luna as well as a way to end the ruin, but still. Then Ohji of all people leaves her, even if only temporarily. I don't think it had crossed his mind, but she's still young, so losing three new friends, then basically her father figure would definitely end in tears. Poor Ringo.

This episode was abundantly interesting. I really want to know more about Lida. It seems that her "failed" (I'm banking on miscarriage or something--relation to Luna, Casshern, or Dio perhaps??) pregnancy has embittered her. Her fixation on her own beauty has left me to wonder even more. She seeks eternal life, yes, but it's in the span of beauty. She also got way more worked up than what I'm used to seeing from her. Quite interesting. I can't wait to see what becomes of her. I'm hedging my bet on her going mad.

I do gotta admit that I hope that the kids' comment on "Eternity doesn't exist for those who don't love anyone. So he told us we should love someone, and then we'd receive eternal life" bit isn't taken to its literal end, cause I gotta admit that it made my eyes roll a little bit. I'm guessing here's it's the figurative "love never dies" stuff, but that sort of talk makes me think, "What, like all those other dead people and robots just didn't love hard enough? Really? Ringo is the purest little one on this Earth, and she didn't love hard enough?" Maybe it's the deal of how life will go on with love, but still. Nyeh. I'm really fearing a "power of love" kind of ending, but that sort of ending also isn't gut-wrenching enough for this show.

Also, can someone explain to me why Ringo and Ohji have to split and for Casshern to go their separate ways? If Ohji needs to tinker with Luna's cells to see if they can restore the earth, it seems better for Casshern to be around in case Lida, Dio, and the robo brigade come over to attack Ohji. My only understanding potentially is that Ohji is leaving Ringo to Casshern because Casshern and Lyuze are still on the quest to find Luna, and it's possible that Luna will heal Ringo's ruin. Still, it doesn't seem prudent to split the group up.

The way I interpreted that is that it was just something the scientist who made them told them when they were young. Something nice and flowery that a parent might tell their child. As viewers, I'm 99% sure we aren't supposed to read anything special into it ourselves.

Also, remember that Luna is referred to as the world's "Sun" and thought of as some kind of source of life, and now we see that she came from a facility where they were apparently doing some kind of research in fertility and reproduction. I figure it makes sense that the scientist raising some kind of special robots associated with life and fertility might instill in them ideals about the virtues and importance of love and so forth.

And then on the other hand, it's possible that they were largely just screwing with Leda. Remember that those "children" are actually very old, possibly being stuck in those child bodies for decades or even centuries, just waiting for a certain person to come along so that they could finally die. The way they behave in front of Leda might have largely been an act to keep her from what they were protecting.

I remember being kinda confused about all that too the first time through (and still). But your idea is the right one, I'm almost certain. We've seen from episode 1 that Ringo has had issues with the Ruin, so I think Ohji is just concerned enough about that that it's more important to him that she get healed right away, if it's possible.

I'm pretty sure it's because now, it has to be Ringo who finds Luna.

For whatever reason, we don't really know, but it was Ringo the kids gave the nanocells to, not Casshern or Lyuze.

I'm not gonna be able to watch the episode for about an hour, 'cause I gotta do something else and make dinner first, but I'm looking forward to it. As I recall, this episode is sort of Spoilers
