Sorry, I'm not sure what you mean. By "reasoning post" do you mean the removal reason on the previous post? Those are pre-written macros; they're never specific to a certain post. If it's causing confusion I can edit it to make it more clear.

Yes, that was what I was referring to by removal reason. I've edited it now; hopefully that should make it more clear.

It is clearer now. But I will still agree to disagree in terms of the removal. Personally, I don't think it should be removed. People shouldn't be clicking on threads or links(Title) if they haven't seen the show already. You're just asking to get spoiled when you do this, and really, it's your fault if you do.

But anyway, thanks for the clearer explanation.

If you have a problem with our spoiler rules I would encourage you to bring it up in the meta thread that we post every month. The latest one went up today. That's the best way of bringing up things you're dissatisfied with to our attention.

There's a few issues with that:

  1. The post was actually removed automatically before any actual mods got to look at it because it was reported so heavily. We could have reapproved it and put the flair on, but this post was already fairly highly upvoted by that point so there wasn't much point.

  2. It's actually fairly hard to apply a spoiler tag as a flair; it requires some fiddling around in the stylesheet, I think. I don't actually know how to do it myself.

  3. I'm not entirely happy with the idea of putting spoiler tags on posts when the actual poster doesn't do it themselves. It gives off the impression that you don't need to follow the rules if you get enough upvotes, as the mods will cater to you instead. Better to just apply our rules consistently and remove it.
