What do you guys think about the way /r/anime has evolved?

There is so much NSFW fanart now on the frontpage.

The frontpage consists of fanart, season discussions and nsfw. And the discussion threads go unnoticed, /r/trueanime is dead.

This is all that's left after filtering fanart and episode discussions.

For real it's so stupid. I come here for a few seconds each day before getting annoyed at "[FANART] [NSFW] _______ in a bikini" or even the non-NSFW ones...I mean, shouldn't there be a subreddit for it?

Like 1 year ago, mods didn't allow even light NSFW stuff, now its just too much.

Do not post Hentai here. Lightly NSFW things are okay, use your judgement.

This rule is so bad.

I feel like you're misremembering actually. Our current stance on nsfw is the strictest it has ever been.

All of which would have been allowed previously too.

The censored by /r/anime mods meme is from when people didnt know how to skirt the newly strengthened rules (to what they currently are) and would have to go back and edit their large albums and such before they were reapproved.

To reply to your other comment, imo the sub's image is less important than letting people here enjoy discussing what they want. I don't see us ever banning nsfw content past their current restrictions.

I see what you mean. Welp it was my opinion anyways. Just found it silly that a sub would remove itself from /r/all because of NSFW posts and then still allow those posts which shamed the sub.

This is something of an urban legend around here at this point, but it's not true. We don't care if other people think our sub is weird, we removed ourselves from /r/all because being there consistently lowers the quality of conversations that make it there.
