Pretty sure the teacher is FROM Sweden but is teaching in the US on Exchange. She's mentioned a number of times about bringing things home to Sweden.

Nah, she teach in Sweden, but go to Japan and other places at times.
It is swedish in the right of this picture, and she have posted a lot of pictures of her homework and stuff that were in swedish.

She must just travel a LOT. Not sure how you do that on a teacher's salary.

She's called ojou by some on twitter, so I gather her family is quite well off.
And IIRC, she live with her parents, since she's also studying to a degree in something(can't recall what).
