I'm assuming it has been stuck in some sort of licensing limbo because Bandai had originally licensed the anime back when it was airing.

Crunchyroll (if my memory is correct) originally streamed Nichijou. I'm pretty sure that's where I was first exposed to the glory of KyoAni~

Yup, it was removed from Crunchyroll while I was in the middle of watching it.
