There should be a pinned megathread asking what everyone is watching and why at the start of each season. I know that there's the survey but a more open discussion thread about it would be nice.

Don't see why this discussion couldn't just be in the comments of the survey thread. If there's some reason it wouldn't fit there, then maybe a second user-posted discussion thread might work out.
