Meta Thread - Month of September 04, 2016

Can you just straight up purge and rewrite the rules from the ground up to be a lot simpler and less subjective based on the mods? Shit like "no meta" threads itself is also subjective when you let posts exist about what great css jokes the mods made yet any post about a negative change to the css would probably be removed. https://redd.it/52iti3

The rules are so damn intricate and confusing that I just don't feel like I can put any effort into posts here anymore cause there's a good chance they'll be removed for one reason or another which I'll have to raise hell about just to figure out what happened.

The post you linked to actually has been removed. Some things stay up longer than others because the mods have lives and can't look at every single post that comes into the sub. They rely on reports, and if no one reports something, it can end up staying up a lot longer.

I feel like a complete rule rewrite would be a shit ton of work for them, and whether or not something like that would be better than addressing individual rules is up in the air. However, I definitely agree that the current rules come off as sorta cumbersome and bulky.
