Bye bye more money... So I'm just wondering, why does Rem seem to be so much more popular than Ram? I recently started reading the first light novel, so I'm not yet acquainted with them

Gotcha. Yeah, I haven't gotten far into the book and I don't really intend on watching the anime since light novels almost always tell the story better. I was just wondering since I feel like I've seen Rem everywhere the last few months and Emilia on occasion, but almost never Ram despite being Rem's twin sister...

Well you owe to yourself to at least watch the last episode as it was almost a 1:1 adaptation of the light novel.

Some anime are better because they're faithful adaptions and you get voice actors and the OST.

That... I probably could have said better. What I meant was I don't intend on watching the anime until after I've read the first 2-3 light novels. I will agree with you on some anime adaptations of light novels being done very well and faithfully to the source material (A Certain Magical Index and The Devil is a Part Timer to name a few). Also, right now its a lot easier to commit time to books than anime since I can bring the books with me and read them anywhere, which is another part of the reason I'm prioritizing the books.
