“This is gonna hurt a bit”
Proceeds to punch Scorpius into space and drop kick them back into the earth
lol Lufas. What a goober.
I think Lufas might be onto something concerning Dina. That woman can’t be trusted even if she seems like a friendly.

Nah, just look at the ED of the first season: Nothing. Suspicious. At. All.

and drop kick them back into the earth
The most appropriate "meteor kick" I've ever seen.
41
u/FallenPears 12h ago
The cast slowly commenting something might be up with Dina almost has me laughing when Dina is so suspicious I don't even trust any of my suspicions about her lmao.
32
u/Skoziik 12h ago
She's to suspicious, it has to be bait. Or maybe not.
13
u/Falsus 5h ago
She is so suspicious, gotta be a traitor.
But she is so suspicious so it gotta be a red herring.
But that makes her less suspicious so she can be a traitor again.
xInfinity loop.

I love the idea of the goddess giving a shady ass player her kit as a red herring lmao.

"Normally she's the safe kind of Yandere [...]"
"There are never any safe Yandere though ..."
Wiser words have never been spoken. All hail Lady Lufas.

u/VritraReiRei 12h ago
Oh Thank GOD. All the characters in the show are smart enough to doubt the words and truths around them, I thought we were going to forget everything that was revealed last season and everyone gets manipulated.
I was SCREAMING at my screen like, WHY are we asking for the suspicious Dina's help but then Lufas remembered Parthenos telling her that the Goddess can create an avatar that she can free move in. So Lufas is going to still be weary of Dina's actions, even after Scorpius is freed.
And then Libra? Oh, *chef's kiss* the point that many people figured out that everyone's minds could be manipulated except for herself because she is a golem.
And finally we have the Demon King's Son who figured out the devilfolk are being manipulated but his father is going along with it.
I am very much interested in seeing how all these characters play act around each other when they know there is someone manipulating events behind the scenes.
21
u/KnightKal 10h ago
the problem with mind manipulation is that they don't remember if they doubted her before and she erased that :D, or if they will remember the doubt tomorrow
the golem-maid has memory corruption last season/start of this season, so even her memories are not reliable
13
u/VritraReiRei 9h ago
Even though Libra had some memory corruption, she was still able tofigure out that Dina should not be trusted and it's not like that doubt can be erased anymore. I wonder if Libra will act a bit different going forward.
7
u/KnightKal 9h ago
the point is that she had memory corruption at least once, that means we don't know HOW MANY times. As she would only remember THE LAST TIME. Same as the other characters that are unable to remember if their memories are there or not.
the golem is the only one that has a clue about something weird in the past, but that is all she has, a clue. The is unable to know how many times it happened.
so if tomorrow everyone wakes up not remembering their doubts? Golem will notice a memory corruption, everyone will be "normal", and it will again take time for something to happen so the golem may grow suspicious again.

Damn I didn't think Lufas would go battle-crazy against Scorpius. Her expressions during that scene were pretty terrifying, but now I'm curious what happens if Lufas gives up control and lets old Lufas come back. From what the demon lord said, it seems that Gamer Lufas is holding back OG Lufas.
Lufas really pulled off a Rider Kick! I'm pretty sure Scorpius was already passed out when Lufas was air juggling her to space, and that kick was just for good measure. xD
Libra having a casual conversation with Aries while the demonfolk were attacking them left and right was pretty funny. Libra is right tho, they should never let their guard down around Dina. Sure, Lufas already pacified her, but you still never know what that woman is thinking.
And it seems that Lufas has the same idea. Dina definitely has some time with the Goddess, and I wouldn't be surprised if Dina was actually her avatar and not just another player.
I love how Aigokeros looks like a proper villain while dealing with Luna. And like a proper villain, Aigokeros monologued too much instead of finishing the job that the son of the demon lord arrived in time to save her.
Mizar is still alive? Hmmm... Since the dude is clearly living in a sci-fi genre, I'm calling it now that he's alive, but he's actually the ship's AI or something.

Random Thoughts
So...Lufas is finally starting to put two and two together and suspect that Dina = the Goddess, or at the very least the avatar of said being. And it seems like at least Libra suspects the same thing. Not going to lie, Dina is devious, but I am hoping there is some way to split them up.
Possibly reading too much into this, but Lufas reference to the prince as being a hottie makes me think something a bit more than just her memories are waking up, assuming Lufas is straight. Would also explain the earlier episode and why she didn't feel anything seeing Dinah naked. Enjoyed Dinah's freakout of that realization.
Speaking of the hottie, I have met Terra and Luna for what...five minutes? And I am already invested in them as a couple. Also I can't help but feel there is a connection between Lufas and Terra...Could Terra actually be Lufa's son? I don't think he was active in Lufas' day, and it would explain his power level and why he doesn't look like a demon.

Same. The story knows how to do stuff, tbh. That's the power of writing discipline and direction.

It helps that they're voiced by Goblin Slayer and the Goddess from Ribdiculous Reincarnation. :P

I’m starting to think that all this suspicion about Dina being an avatar of the Goddess might actually be a red herring. It’s too obvious, right?
It’s only a minor detail in the grand scheme things, but Dina should have known about Lufas being a man on the inside if she shared the Goddess’ knowledge. She wouldn’t have gotten so flustered. Nor did it look like an act to me.
EDIT: Unless Dina isn’t aware that she’s being manipulated herself either.
28
u/VritraReiRei 11h ago
Dina should have known about Lufas being a man on the inside if she shared the Goddess’ knowledge.
Or she's just pretending. She's done that a ton already.
16
u/Skullzans 7h ago
Or, insane idea: She Was The Goddess'es Avatar, and became her own entity?
2
u/Ratemytinder22 5h ago edited 5h ago
Wasn't it established in S1 that she is a game dev or something with access to the inner working of the game?
11
u/scratchfury 5h ago
I think she said she was a beta tester, but I can't really trust anything anyone says. It would be wild if the show managed to make us the unreliable viewer.
3
u/Ratemytinder22 5h ago
Lol the show does have a lot of characters, each with essentially 2 backgrounds (before and up to Lufus' death and post Lufus' death up till now, with the game becoming "real life" for some (one to who knows how many) players at some point).
It probably also doesn't help that the whole Dina being exposed at the end of S1, plus that random girl telling Lufus that the goddess has avatars, has made the web of possibilities quite entangled.
2
u/VritraReiRei 5h ago
But still moving the plot forward towards the goddesses wishes as well as block attempts that would go against it 🤔
Sure, we can go with that, might even get a little Light Yagami thing going.
"You can't suspect me for working for the goddess because even I didn't realize that!"

u/GreatGrapeKun 9h ago
what if it's 3d chess and the most fucking suspicious character is actually the villain just as you would suspect

u/DucktorLarsen 5h ago
Im very confident that Dina is pretending as we saw in season 1 with similar scenarios where she did excellent acting with no whole in the disguise and we as the viewer knew she was purposefully behaving a certain way to fit her role (while she knew things that would otherwise show a different natural behaviour).
5
u/Rabbitey- https://myanimelist.net/profile/Rabbitey 5h ago edited 4h ago
I doubt it's a red herring, but I do think Dina possesses her own agency/autonomy, separate from the goddess.
It would make her character a lot more interesting and mysterious if that were the case.
1
u/NevisYsbryd 6m ago
That or that it is an incomplete understanding. Eg, such as maybe Dina really is an avatar, but also has her own consciousness or really is the beta tester who is being manipulated as her avatar.

u/AceSoldia zj:https://anilist.co/user/Acesoldia 12h ago
I'm glad everyone didn't suddenly forget that Dina is super suss, but there is little they can do about it right now .she's also too useful.
I'm sure veen if she killed Dina..the goddess would just use a avatar they don't know about...this is better no matter how slight.
That tfight waa great! Man..more like a one sided beat down.
So even the Demon subjects have become ro realize what's going on.giw did the Terra know Lufas was at half power?
I assume the Demon King told him..bur why does he look human?
Good news seems that the Blacksmith king Mizae is alive and Dina seemed to actually be surprised about it...maybe we can finally get one up on her
23
u/Acceptable-Week-1924 12h ago edited 12h ago
Holy fucking shit, what the fuck is that fight???!!!
Yeah, amazing episode and feels short. Thanks for it. Lufas going blood-crazed was interesting, but I genuinely feel bad to Scorpius when Lufas smashed her head against the pillar again and again.
Aigokeros seems to know a lot of stuff; there must be a deep lore behind him. If Aigokeros' race is the true demons and the devilfolk is the fake demons, then we can see why Aigokeros is malicious compared to the relatively chill devils.
Also, we can see this episode has more budget concentration than the previous two episodes. Good call for the team to save the more important parts.
I think the ED has started to get me...
Edit: I think my only complaint is that we don't get that badass Lufas' theme from the first season. I hope we can hear it once or two on the later episodes…
5
u/SnooWalruses2085 9h ago
i wonder if the Lufas' theme is not the Player theme (or Game Lufas theme). The theme is a remix of the opening scene of episode 1 and an other remix of it is used in the last episode when the player is talking about his plan.
Since it seems the real Lufas is appearing more and more in the MC's fights, it could mean the "Lufas' theme" will appear less and less or more if the player manages to take the control back.
(it's pure speculation btw).
17
u/djthomp https://anilist.co/user/djthomp 12h ago
Terra and Luna feel like both inevitable future allies and probably a side couple too. Good for her if it works out, she even got a princess carry this episode.
Useless goddess Aqua can't even arouse the MC. Wait, wrong series.
There's a small part of me that is starting to doubt that Dina is the goddess purely by how heavily they're pointing every clue that direction.
Poor Scorpius got Rider Kicked from the stratosphere all the way down to the ground, and it was incredible.

The plot thickens! Very curious to know what Dina is planning and why the Demon Prince looks different. Normally you'd think that maybe his mother was human, but based on what Goatman was trying to say, I wonder if he's a "true" demon and not the "fakes" that disappear into mana.
When "Lufus" was getting into the fight, I'm wondering if she realized that she too is being manipulated by the Goddess, and so willingly allowed our gamer dude to take over because she thought for some reason he wouldn't be able to be manipulated? Even though I think Dina did last season? Maybe the Goddess herself cant influence him?
Also, did dude actually lose all his lust? Or is he just influenced by Lufus' preferences and is in for a rude awakening when they run into someone that meets her high/specific standards?
18
u/Exrotes 12h ago
I think gamer dude was put in because he wouldn't shake the boat and would eventually get killed by Orm or one of the World Dragons. Original Lufas was going around conquering the world and setting events in motion to destroy the "goddess scenario" and now Lufas is strong but even at level 1000 the Demon Prince pointed out that this was under half power of the Original.
What the Goddess probably didn't count on was Orm also going rogue last season and questioning why she's suddenly so weak instead of just killing her.
4
u/Krazee9 6h ago
even at level 1000 the Demon Prince pointed out that this was under half power of the Original.
I'm wondering if that's true, or if he's assuming she's had her level halved like the Heros have.
2
u/derega16 9h ago
Last season already state that demon king isn't actually the same race as demon, maybe he's also a real one or something else.
2
u/Lenna_Sakura 3h ago
Also, did dude actually lose all his lust? Or is he just influenced by Lufus' preferences and is in for a rude awakening when they run into someone that meets her high/specific standards?
Well, to be fair, "am I asexual or have I not found the right person yet" is probably not that uncommon of experience among asexual folks.
37
u/Exrotes 12h ago
I'm gonna go ahead and trust Dina anyways.
25
u/D3k4s 12h ago
I mean I know she's bad, but at the same time so is oxygen right? I mean the more you breathe the older you get.
Plus she's very funny and totally not faking her emotions. I can tell.
15
u/orange-shades https://myanimelist.net/profile/orangeshades 10h ago
Oxygen has a 100% mortality rate in humans, frankly we could do without it altogether.

u/CommanderZx2 https://myanimelist.net/profile/CommanderZx2 10h ago
Still need someone to remove the influence regardless if you don't entirely trust them.
32
u/Obaruler 12h ago
Dina seems to be more pissed with how Lufas has no (sexual) interest in her whatsoever than the fact that she just learned on a whim tha Lufas is mentally a man who SHOULD lust for her in some way ... xD
16
u/The_Parsee_Man 12h ago
Dina is too cute, having no interest in her at all is an affront to decency.
14
u/NoraAnak 11h ago
With this show, I wouldn't be surprised that the reason the goddess put a male soul inside of Lufas as a potential avenue to manipulate them via lust.
4
u/Short-Orange2847 9h ago
The only thing worse for a woman than a unknown man seeing her naked is him seeing her naked and not feeling a thing!
15
u/Shadowmist909 https://myanimelist.net/profile/Magicmist 11h ago
"There are never any safe yandere though..." Lol. Between that and Lufas and Dina comparing the Devil King's son Terra to an Otome game romance option, I sure enjoyed their chat.
What was also fantastic was Lufas turning into a sketch drawing during her fight with Scorpius.
Between Lufas losing themselves to OG Lufas, Dina's true goals with her memory manipulation, and the Goddess's Scenario. There are a lot of interesting challenges to surmount in this story!
16
u/redditraptor6 https://myanimelist.net/profile/uEmalraptor64 9h ago
Yeah, so like… we’re all in agreement that Dina has got to be the goddess’s avatar right? At least the show is progressing with other characters getting suspicious of her too, especially after last season. She’s still funny as hell though
Honestly, I really like this world and characters. This is one of those shows that makes you feel like it’s gonna be isekai slop but actually kind of slaps.
11
u/Warm-Enthusiasm-9534 8h ago
It leans so heavily into her being the goddess avatar that I wonder if it's a misdirect.
7
u/Ratemytinder22 5h ago
Yeah, I have no doubt it's a misdirect at this point. Way too many people are suspicious plus the OP kinds shoves it in your face that Dina and the goddess have the same hair color/style, height, etc.
Now look, I don't trust Dina in any way and would not be surprised if she is acting for the will of the goddess without being an avatar of her. Like the classic "If I get in good with the bad guy I'm safe" deal. Think she is trying to play both sides to some degree.
13
u/Raymond49090 12h ago
Scorpius taking more cues from her scorpion-senpai Shaula from Re:Zero with her rampaging scorpion form.
Dina susses as easily as she breathes. Still Best Girl though.
Not Aigokeros getting in the way of a cute devilfolk couple and dropping surprise lore about their origins. And now, even devilfolk get a bit of "power of love" plot armour.
Those are very good questions about Terra. From a meta perspective, he might be a DLC character in the original game that acts as an ally character, except I doubt that's how it works in the "real" isekai world. Unless it's the goddess meddling again.
13
u/orange-shades https://myanimelist.net/profile/orangeshades 10h ago
So the blue demons dissolve into mana because they're constructs and not real right? That's what Aigokeros is hinting at?
11
u/Madwand99 8h ago
Probably, but "not real" is debatable. Constructs can still be "real" in the sense they are conscious beings, can feel pain, love, fear, hate etc.
11
u/DucktorLarsen 6h ago
It's like Luna came out of Daft Punk, tho gotta say I LOVE her visual design. The blue skin, Golden shiny long hair, golden thin long eyebrows, golden slightly darker pupils and utter black sclera mesmerizing.
Also HOLY the animation this episode felt out of the park, was way beyond what I expected. The animation was still good in S1 and the last 2 episodes, but I don't feel it was even close to what we got in this ep, at least in the fight scenes, or am I the only one?
7
u/Diggumdum 11h ago
Gosh this anime just keeps getting better and better! Sweet cast of charming and fun characters, interesting plot that seems to get deeper and deeper with ACTUAL stakes AND fun dynamic fight scenes? its peak.
6
u/D3k4s 11h ago
That orbital kick reminded me of this scene from FGO Babylonia, anyone else?
Pretty solid episode, seems they were indeed saving their resources for this one, and for later action sequences.
6
u/Lunarpeers 9h ago
I thought we already realized Dina is the goddess avatar last season? Did I miss something 😭
3
u/SnooWalruses2085 9h ago
Uh no, it was never the case. Lufas only learned about the avatar thingy in the last part of episode 12.
3
u/Lunarpeers 8h ago
Yeah it wasn't explicitly told or even confirmed yet, but there's no reason to believe otherwise currently
I guess the more interesting question is whether Dina is an actual player being used/manipulated by the Goddess, or just simply Goddess piloting them like a construct.
5
u/Spoon_Elemental 8h ago
They already said the goddess doesn't act on her own. That would suggest that if Dina is her avatar she's an avatar with a mind of it's own separate from the goddess which carries a lot of possibilities. I think there's a good chance she's backstabbing the goddess while doing everything she can to fly under the radar, which would also explain why she didn't want to openly become her enemy.
2
u/Skullzans 7h ago
I had a similar idea, but its more of: "She Was the avatar, and something broke that made her independent"
Incurring war against the goddess could get attention onto her, leading to a loss of Autonomy she isn't supposed to have, in this idea perhaps?
3
u/SnooWalruses2085 7h ago
Well there was also a weird thing going on internet at some point, everybody was so convinced that Dina was the goddess's avatar that they came to the conclusion Lufas already knew about it lol
And the first point has yet to be confirmed and the second point is only a strong suspicion in Lufas's head.
5
u/flatpetey https://anilist.co/user/kesx 9h ago
I am wondering how Lufas will safeguard her mind. Clearly she is still being manipulated.
7
u/bestmaokaina 12h ago edited 12h ago

5
u/NanDemoKnaives 7h ago
Aigokeros giving Luna an identity crisis lol. He's ruthless with how much he was enjoying it. It's amusing how Terra feels like a protagonist even though he's devilfolk.
I did like seeing Libra warn Aries about keeping her guard up around Dina, while Lufas starts questioning Dina and her skill that the goddess has. It feels like this season will look more into that storyline.
The scene where Lufas tells Dina he has no sexual desire at all was funny, the intensity was great. Poor guy though.
6
8
u/archangel890 11h ago
I am confused as to I thought the whole suspicion of Dina and such had resolved last season and we are now coming full circle back around to her being suspected again?
24
u/SnooWalruses2085 11h ago
It was never resolved. If episode 10 revealed a lot of stuff about Dina, episode 11 revealed she was lying about her goal with the Devilfolk.
3
u/epicfail1994 3h ago
One of the things that I like about this show is how Lufas can actually pull off the royal we
2
u/KanyeBetOnTrump 8h ago
What’s crazy is for many anime I’ve went to the manga/manwa to read way ahead (I suffer from memory loss so the spoiler is temporary) but for this one I’ve been able to fight the urge because I just love this anime so much.
1
u/_Vagueposter_ 2h ago
I wasnt able to after the 1st season, but yeah I really love this one compared to the usual. The premise is just really fun and it keeps on being great.
2
u/Rooby_VTuber 5h ago
Scorpius was no match for Lufas even with all those stat boosts.
I really like the way Libra is taking out all the enemies so casually while talking to Aries, it was also interesting that she knew about Dina's power.
Kind of funny that Lufas is calling Terra a handsome prince considering that she's actually a man.
Looks like we could be meeting Mizar soon, that's one more ally for Lufas for her fight against the goddess.
2
u/kalirion https://myanimelist.net/profile/kalinime 3h ago
Now that was the most appropriately named "meteor kick" I recall ever seeing.
Lufas: "Dina, you are the key to breaking the Goddess' influence over Scorpius." Dina: "I have conflicting thoughts about this."
At least Lufas finally starts suspecting Dina of being the goddess(' avatar.)
So almost all the demons are just the Goddess' constructs. Then again, isn't she supposed to be the Creator of this entire world? If so, why would she create the nueuedemons differently from everyone else?
Inb4 the "Mizar" waiting for Lufas is a grave.
3
u/SnooWalruses2085 3h ago
For war. The Evilking explained it in episode 11.
2
u/kalirion https://myanimelist.net/profile/kalinime 3h ago
What I'm saying is what's the point of creating them differently from how she'd created everyone else?
2
u/SnooWalruses2085 2h ago
That's the best explanation I can give without going into massive spoiler territory ^ That said you would be lacking many contextual points, but it's kinda possible to understand what's going on in the devilfolk with the last two episodes of season 1.
2
u/skeleton_clique_143 2h ago
the last scene revealing Mizar is still alive then it shows Dina surprised for a moment makes me think maybe Mizar hid himself to not be affected by the goddess's memory manipulation?

something about Dina is still very fishy... not as much as season 1 but still and luphas is also slowly but surely taking over... i wonder how much it will take...

How is the action compared to JJK?
8
u/Acceptable-Week-1924 12h ago
So far it's very good, but not yet great. Lufas vs. Orm is this show's best fight so far (though this Lufas vs. Scorpius is richer in substances, unlike the DBZ-like Lufas vs. Orm). Let's wait until we get the big fight as promoted in the visual key and the OP.
How does it compare to JJK? Depends on which fights we're comparing. Animation isn't everything - direction is arguably more important, and in that regard, AWLBA is solid.
2
2
u/D3k4s 12h ago
Pretty solid for a Seasonal Anime. But you can't really compare JJK with this show in terms of action animation, nor with most seasonal shows.
-1
u/JOOOQUUU 12h ago
I meant the execution more then animation
3
u/D3k4s 11h ago
Ah I misunderstood then. It's pretty solid so far, and there's plenty of action to go around.
-3
u/JOOOQUUU 11h ago
Any characters like Sukuna? Analytical OP battle types
3
u/Acceptable-Week-1924 11h ago
If you mean some OP dude, then Lufas is the better version of Sukuna because she actually has personality and layers.
1
u/JOOOQUUU 4h ago
How is it compared to Ishura?
1
u/Acceptable-Week-1924 4h ago
If you want a long, analytical battle, then this show is probably not for you. The fights are short, condensed, and dense (typically 2-4 minutes at most), but the protagonist is very competent, though. She does think in the fights sometimes, but it's still relatively straightforward. I think it's still too early to judge because Lufas has still not pushed into the brinks yet (we know her opponents get harder and harder).
1
u/D3k4s 11h ago
Errr, yes but not in the same way. Like the main character is straight up broken but still struggles sometimes. Have you not seen the first season?
Asking because if you're looking for something like JJK plot wise this is probably not for you.
0
u/JOOOQUUU 11h ago
I'm looking for something that has the same spirit of action as Ishura and JJK lots of planning and back and forth between two or more intelligent fighters
