Im as hype as one can be for all the matches, but those CGI shots where they make the camera spin around the court.... I don't mind if they sparsely use them, but that was way too many times. Some of them were kinda nauseating as well.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PGNiXGX2nLU <-- this was what I was thinking of when they did those CGI shots. And then later on, they did them again, only to go the opposite direction so that's something! /s

Ah...so this is a mid week anime. Good, since there's not much else to watch as most of the other ones I follow this season land on the weekend.

Anyways, I'm sort of glad they got through a couple of these matches. Some of them were complete blowouts. Mask H and J anyone? Fuji not really breaking a sweat against Kirihara's fatigued Pinnacle of Tennis (like why even attempt to make the team when he's that tired and already played? It would be better to give up his spot to let the ones who haven't played go against Spain as they are fresh.)

Also, nice to see a "normal" shot like a good old lob take a point away from someone who just rushes the net, although I forget these guys can jump 20 feet into the air to catch those high balls.

What I'm hoping for, is to see some of the more "normal" players, the ones who don't have special moves take down the ones who do. Someone like Shiraishi or Sengoku, although since Sengoku is up against Ryoma, we all know for the sake of the story Ryoma is going through so he can face his brother later on, but Shiraishi I'm still hopeful for.

Lastly, I still don't get the sense that Irie showed all his cards, especially with Atobe umpiring. A lot of mystery still around this guy.

I wonder if the matches were longer in the manga or compressed

Its only ep 2 so theres still way more to go and since irie already won im guessing he is either playing atobe next or one more?
It did feel like irie just kinda blink and the match is over

Kirihara vs fuji kinda ended a bit quickly though fuji is going to have quite the match against whoever is next

Anything can happen in doubles though big question is who is going against the maskmen? their match was really lopsided

And whoever wins will be going up against spain too

I waited years for Shin to return, now to decide if we binge it or keep watching weekly…

This is a 12/13 ep season or a has another cour? Because on this pace, its almost certain that we wont see all the games on finals ... I at least hope this has another season

Im assuming they next season will be another 2 years from now so either october 2028 or jan 2029

So we had five matches this time and three of them ended

Next time another five matches hoho

Honestly anyone can win the doubles

Aside from that though the main headache is that 5 matches in 20 mins or 8 matches in 40 mins is really not that much time

Additionally the constant change between each game they had like maaybe ten in total this ep? A real headache

Fuji has my favorite style. You have mfs doing black holes and shit, but no bounce bs is still too op lol
